Boy King AU | Vettonso + Martian | 1.3k

There's something about putting the future emperor of the Holy Realm on his knees like this. About how easily he goes, how willingly, how obediently. What would his adoring public think if they could see him now. If they saw their beloved king pressed down like this, in the cramped space between Fernando's legs. When they realized their little boy king took it like he was a little concubine instead.

Fernando's bitterness is lifted away in moments like these, like taking off a heavy cloak on a winter's day. It was hard to feel humiliated about his own situation when watching Sebastian debase himself like this.

He always gives himself up so easily. When Fernando threaded his fingers through his thick curls. When he pulled them, and then when he pressed his face down further down into the vee of his legs. Sebastian rubbed his cheek into the coarse fabric of Fernando's breeches and blinked up at him. Fernando had to smother an embarrassing sound; he was just like a little cat!

Sebastian quirked his lips up into an odd little smile and slightly rose up on his knees, "What's funny?" Fernando swallowed lightly and schooled his face back into being impassive, "Nothing. As you were." Sebastian simply smirked at him and let himself be pushed back down by the fist clenched in his hair.

Fernando scoffed internally, there was only so much pleasure in putting the other man in his place when he instead acted like this, this degrading action, was his birthright. He took to ruling and indulging in carnal pleasures as if they were of equal gravity. To be privileged to hold such high station and also let himself be taken apart like this…Fernando felt embarrassed for him.

He is dragged away from his musings when Sebastian moved to settle his hands in Fernando's lap, clutching his hips over the fabric and slightly squeezing; Fernando fought against the urge to shiver. Sebastian pushed up the skirt of Fernando's waistcoat and smoothed his hands over the opening flap of his breeches.

His eyes darted up at Fernando again, a daft smile on his face. Fernando scowled at him, "What?" Seb's grin sharpened, "You could stand to be a little more gracious. This is your future emperor, and future husband might I add, kneeling for you on this dirty, depraved, derelict- ah–" Fernando tugged on his hair again and hissed, "Well then, why don't you show me how eager you are to perform your marital duties?"

Seb licked his lips, completely unconcerned by Fernando's annoyance, and unbuttoned one side of the closure to Fernando's breeches and moved to open the other–

The door to the carriage flew open, arrival announcement dying on a wheezing breath as the servant took in the image the two kings made. One splayed across the seat, exuding power, the other kneeled, debauched, between the former's legs.

One would be hard pressed to determine which was higher on the totem of power and titles.

There was something gratifying about this to Fernando, about being caught. He had been humiliated enough throughout the entire courtship, what was one more thing? And, certainly, what was one more thing if he could drag Sebastian down into the dirt with him.

"Oh Mark, don't act so abashed! It's nothing you haven't seen before, in fact, we have been in this very position not even a fortnight ago!"

Oh. Yes. That.

It was hard to be completely pleased when he remembered how Sebastian had already spent years prior to their engagement sampling the palace's ample selection of fellow high-born men. And how all those men seemed to be completely and utterly wrapped around his little finger.

Fernando released his hand from Sebastian's hair as if it had burned him. He did not understand why he felt ashamed with Mark looking in on them like this. Fernando was the one marrying Sebastian, not Mark; Mark was just a lowly courtier who had the esteemed duty of spending practically every waking hour with the brat…something he himself was decidedly not looking forward to.

Sebastian stayed kneeling, staring impassively up at Mark, still fiddling with the clasp on Fernando's breeches. Fernando gritted his teeth and looked up from where he was watching Sebastian's clever little hands; Mark stared back at him placidly.

Mark's indifference made the entire situation worse. Fernando now felt as if he was not doing anything unique, not doing anything particularly new. How many other men had Mark caught Seb with in this exact position? Fernando felt like he was just another plaything of the boy king, soon to be boy emperor, except his position was forever, permanent. He was the "Kept King", the king who only kept his throne due to the whims of a boy who doesn't even understand what power is.

Mark coughed, "Well," he says, "Your Majesty, I do believe you have a meeting to attend." Seb pouted at him and whined, "We were just getting to the main course," but still braced himself on Fernando's thighs and got up off the carriage floor.

Seb pranced down the steps Mark had placed next to the carriage, miming tripping sown the stairs, snickering when his action made Mark reflexively reach out to grab him, and then playfully skipped off the final step.

Fernando couldn't help but stare as Mark made the weirdest grimace in response, and he inexplicably felt all his mortification seep away from him. Huh. Maybe Mark is-

Seb then turned around and frowned at him, seemingly disappointed, but his eyes are deceivingly sharp, "Fernando, I regret to inform you that I have other duties I must attend to, you will simply have to wait." He then grinned up at Mark next to him and giggled as the other man stiffened when Sebastian looped both of his arms through Mark's.

He leaned all his weight on the other man, Mark not so much as shifting his weight, "Oh Mark, won't you carry me back to the palace? I'm so very tired after all the horse riding," Seb looked up at him imploringly.

Fernando observed as Mark rolled his eyes and shrugged off the man, though notably not pulling his arm from Seb's grasp, and he got the distinct feeling that this exact scene had been played out countless times before.

Fernando clenched his jaw as he watched Seb turn and saunter off, Mark trotting alongside him like a loyal dog. Fernando was supposed to be the unaffected one in this partnership, the unflustered one, the unconcerned one. And yet here he stood, in broad daylight, in a foreign kingdom, on the steps of a carriage with his breeches half unbuttoned and his cravat in disarray.

He heard a cough from beside him, jolted and looked to the side. Sebastian's loyal Horse Master stood there, lounging against the side of the carriage. Fernando had forgotten who had even been driving the carriage in the first place. After Seb has let himself be pushed down, his hair still windswept from their ride together, everything else seemed to fade away. His thoughts were reduced only to how he could mess up the younger man's hair further.

Jenson grinned at him wolfishly, and casually crossed his legs, "First time?" he inquired. Fernando glared at him. The other man laughed openly at him, "What? He's a busy man with big prospects. You're not his majesty's only conquest, you know. Now your throne on the other hand…"

Fernando seethed, it was one thing to be humiliated by the future emperor, but to be patronized by the king's horse boy? No. It would simply not do. He closed his eyes in annoyance, pinched the bridge of his nose, exhaled, and prepared a speech about how he was not about to be talked down to by a man who didn't even have a throne to speak of!

But when he opened his eyes again and opened his mouth to begin his tirade, Jenson was already wandering away to tend to the horses. Dios mío, Fernando was not mentally prepared to spend the rest of his life with all of these impertinent morons.

about half of my apartment is packed up and in a week im going to be living in a new state for the first time in my life. kind of surreal n scary but extremely exciting. this has been in the works for like 8 months now so its incredible to finally be at the precipice of such an awesome life change

#going from living in a shitty part of sacramento to a small city in oregon #and im going from an old shithole apartment to a townhouse on the edge of a nature preserve that was just built like. a year ago #and i get to live with my wife and kevin and my sibling again which is such an ideal support system to have #3 bed 2.5 bath!!! and its HUGE its like 600 more sqft than my current place and theres so many windows #and theres a shower in my ensuite bathroom... :spoiled:#idk its been a lot of work and im extremely grateful to have my parents support as well #bcuz theyre moving with us and like. sold their house n almost everything they own so we can have an easier life out of this state #idk its so exciting but its so crazy!!!!!!!!#i feel so grateful to no longer have to work opposite schedules from my wife n i get to see my family more often. its gonna be really good #MAYBE I CAN EVEN START COLLAGING AGAIN LMFAOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats your honest opinion aboutnthe fandoms love for sonic and tails brotherly bonding biven that canon is not as strong on that regard

sorry for waiting like. months. to answer this question i’ve been pondering the best way to answer this for literally. months.

i guess the thing is i’ve never really thought about the domesticity of their relationship? a lot of fan things that depict them as brothers are very domestic, the little interactions between them living together and all that. sonic brushing tails’s fur. sonic telling tails to eat his vegetables. them shopping together. things like that. like, i do think they are brothers, and that they view themself as brothers, but i guess i don’t see them as conventional brothers? i’m not quite sure how to articulate this. like they ARE brothers, and they care about each other, and have a different sort of relationship than knuckles and sonic, and sonic and amy, and sonic and cream. but i wouldnt say they’d be anything like ed and al from fma. hm. it took literally thirty years to hear sonic call tails his brother in a game.

like, when i think of them, i’m inclined to think of my sister and i’s relationship. we’re about six years apart, no siblings in between. we love each other a lot, but we don’t see each other a whole lot, because we’re just in super different parts of our lives. i don’t live with her, but i’ll crash on her couch every once in a while. i don’t see her often. i am excited to see her when she visits.

so like, i think sonic did raise tails, in a sense. i think sonic probably took care of him when they first started hanging out and tails was literally just four years old. but sonic’s independent by nature and older by a good chunk of years, and i don’t really think he’d actually enjoy taking care of someone. sonic CARES and loves tails but i would not say he’s a nurturer, and he doesn’t want to be tied down. so once tails got a workshop, assumedly around sonic adventure (at least, a stable one), sonic ditched. i don’t think the two of them live together. sonic’s literally homeless and loves to wander the world for like, months on end. i don’t think sonic and tails do chores together. i don’t think sonic’s at tails’s workshop for long periods of time. maybe to crash on his couch and read a book every once in a while.

sonic visits, yeah, but i also think there’s just long periods of time where they don’t see each other. early sonic games from adventure to the “dark” era of sonic games indicate they don’t see each other for long periods of time (”long time no see!”) and when they do see each other, its often because of a new scheme from eggman or a danger to the world. like, sonic 06- they didn’t even plan on meeting each other, they just happened to cross paths.

i don’t know if this particularly makes sense. i just don’t really see them being particularly domestic together. neither of them are conventional people, and sonic especially is the type to enjoy alone time and adventuring; tails is a little more inclined to stay in place so he can work on his new machines, traveling usually for research or to help sonic. they’ve got different motivations and hobbies so i think they don’t actually spend a lot of time together. it’s probably similar to how much time sonic and knuckles spend together, since knuckles is almost always stuck on angel island with the master emerald.

(plus, if we consider the timeline sega’s been trying to tell us, where every game seems to happen in the span of a year, and tails has always been eight and sonic’s always been 15, or something similar, where tails isn’t a literal toddler when they meet, i really don’t see them doing anything domestic together at all. sonic’s always on the road and tails is off doing inventing or occasionally helping sonic out. if tails wasn’t four-ish when they meet, i don’t really think sonic would... like, take care of him the same way a “parent” would. amy rents her own house in station square, and she’s like twelve. it seems to be the norm, at least in our perspective, that young mobians are allowed to be left to their own devices; like, we still don’t know what’s up with charmy and the chaotix. sure, he could ahve been adopted by vector i suppose, or are his parents just super chill with him hanging out with a bunch of detectives? lmao. and besides, tails is a pretty smart cookie. he really can take care of himself, and sonic would just leave him be since he seems “old enough”, at least in the sonic world, to do so.)

goddamn i can’t wait for my new roommate to move in, i genuinely can’t believe what a piece of shit my current roommate is.

i don’t know where they’re going on april 1st but that’s when the new lease starts with my new roommate and this sounds insensitive but i don’t care where they go at this point. they’ve been taking advantage of me financially since september!!

i also don’t think they have very many friends in town, i know they’ve burned a lot of bridges and it seems like they only really hang it with the person they’re hooking up with (possibly dating?) that they met in group therapy

anywayssssss they said they wanted to find subsidized housing and they had put it off when i decided to stay in town for longer which makes me nervous, they’re an upper middle class white kid from kelowna i don’t think they know what it’s like to access social services

i feel like in their mind i’m a hostile native weaponizing identity politics (they have called me hostile before) because they’re the perpetual victim and apparently this is a pattern in their behaviour, i know so many people they’ve burned bridges with and they all say the same thing it’s ridiculous

I mean . . . maybe? It depends.

If Tails' parents just left him, rather than being deceased as they are in my headcanon, then they really need to have a damn good reason. And I don't just mean "we thought it was for the best" or anything like that. I mean, they were forcibly separated by some disastrous weather event and couldn't find their way back to him in time, or they were abducted by a sea monster or aliens, or something where leaving him wasn't their choice and they tried everything they could to get back to him, not resting until they did. Tails was happily adopted by Sonic, of course, but he suffered before that. He was bullied and ostracized in the village. He has abandonment issues that are a direct result of losing his parents. If they just fucked off to go explore the world, or got separated from him and then didn't try to find him again, I think he would understandably be really hurt and upset by it. He wouldn't just take them back. If they wanted to leave him, fine; that was their choice. But in that case, they can stay gone. He doesn't need them.

But if it wasn't their choice to leave him, and they did try to make it back to him and finally succeeded . . . in that case he would be open to a relationship with them, I think, but it would still be weird and probably uncomfortable for all involved, for a variety of reasons. I mean, to start with: Tails would acknowledge that they're his parents. They're the ones who sired and gave birth to him. But no matter the reason, they're not the ones who raised him. They're not really his parents in the ways that matter. Again, in this particular case it's not their fault; by all accounts they would have raised him if they were given the chance. But that doesn't really matter, because they weren't given the chance and they didn't raise him, and that means that he's not going to see them as authority figures in his life, nor are they the ones he's going to go to when he needs advice, guidance, or protection. They can try objecting to things like him living in his workshops by himself, developing potentially dangerous tech, and fighting Eggman; but they don't really get a say, and if they tried to have one he'd resist hard. There would need to be boundaries there, and I think his parents would get their feelings very hurt by it, but they'd basically be strangers to Tails. They'd be no different from any other adult that tried to come in and run his life when, by his estimation, he has a pretty good handle on things. If they want to get to know him, that's fine, but they don't get to parent him. It might not be their fault, but it's still too late for that. He already has a guardian that he looks up to and who looks out for him, and their return into his life isn't going to change that.

And as for Sonic . . . I mean, Sonic is very much "let people make their own decisions about their lives" and that applies to Tails, too, with the caveat that he will step in if the decisions Tails is making are ones that are actively harmful to him. In this case, I think Sonic's course of action would be "take a step back and let Tails figure this out for himself / see how it plays out." He would try to ignore how much he absolutely hates this situation, for a myriad of reasons (his own parents are gone and likely not coming back, who are these people coming in trying to take Tails from him, do they even have a right to do that, sure they have more of a right than any other would-be parents but what the fuck, how is this fair, etc etc), because if it makes Tails happy, well. That's what's most important. Sonic will be supportive, or at least as supportive as he can be, because Tails' happiness matters to him. It matters a whole lot.

But as previously stated, even if his parents had a Very Good Reason for abandoning him, Tails still isn't about to go off and be a happy nuclear family with them. And if they tried to push it, then I think Sonic would step in to advocate for Tails, to amplify Tails' voice and show that, hey, Tails does have someone in his corner, someone who has done a damn good job looking out for him all these years, thanks, and who won't let Tails' own wants be steamrollered to make someone else happy. The hypothetical parents would probably bristle at this, because Sonic is a teenager himself and who is he to tell them to step off—but Sonic's not one to back down, and when it's clear that he's the one Tails looks to, well . . . there's not really a whole lot they can do in this situation, now is there? And I would like to think that, even if it saddened and hurt them to see that their son looked to someone else as a guardian now, they would at least be glad that out of all the guardians he could have ended up with, he ended up with one that obviously cares about and loves him very much.

So honestly, it would really depend, but I can't see Tails ever being like "yay I've got parents, let's be a happy nuclear family!!" if his parents ever turned out to not be dead and made a reappearance in his life. Even if they had a good reason (and that's the only way he'd want a relationship with them at all, I think, because the hurt would run too deep otherwise), the time for that has passed. He's been happily adopted since they left, and they would need to respect that to have any kind of relationship with him at all.
