Making handcrafted soap will never cease to amaze me. Sometimes the vision in my head just doesn't come out that way in my soaps. I was going for a camoflauge look in this soap, however it came out looking like tiger stripes instead. Have a Blessed Day!

Fun Fact: I performed with my mom for legendary Buddy Holly's wife, Maria Elena Holly, at a Buddy Holly Memorial Anniversary party in Clear Lake, Iowa when I was 9 years old. I'm originally from Clear Lake/Mason City, where the plane crashed "the day the music died" carrying Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. They had played the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake that night before the tragic and unfortunate event happened. Another of my first creations! 24x36 The Surf! Is my first attempt at a liquid pour however I didn't use a pouring medium for this piece. I used craft acrylics which have a liquid texture. I didn't realize at the time but an acrylic liquid medium should have been used to save on the amount of paint necessary to cover this canvas however I would not have achieved the same affect so overall, no regrets.
