Just saw your newest posts about Dan Vs so would you mind sharing those I need my daily dose

Of Dan Vs thoughts? Sure. Here's some random thoughts & hcs. got a little long oops (I can't remember how to do read more on mobile...)

- Mr. Mumbles is immortal. why? Who knows, but it's a silly cartoon so I get to hc the cute kitty as immortal, alright?

- I've seen ppl joke about dan vs """cancel culture""" but the thing is, I think he'd be all for it. I think he'd find it funny. I mean the dude has his own version of a call out list.

- Dan has hypermobility (1. He mentioned having a double jointed thumb 2. I have hypermobility and I say so)

- Chris is pansexual but doesn't realize it until later in life, he honestly had just not thought about it too hard & had only had a few relationships prior to getting married kinda young, all with women, until something leads to him realizing his feelings for Dan are not entirely platonic & it's just like. Oh.

- Dan on the other hand is pretty openly bisexual, he has a preference for men(projecting 🤪) but has (... slightly) better luck with women (men are more likely to want to kill him)

- something, that's not a life or death situation that gets magically reset, prompts Elise to tell Chris the truth about her job. because I hate the fucking person can't tell their partner they're a spy/agent/superhero/what the fuck ever trope it Feels Bad Scoob and Chris has expressed sometimes feeling a lack of communication between them in the show which ):

- speaking of Elise finds out Chris is part bear but in like the most casual way possible

Elise: I'm thinking of making Chris see a doctor, he gets sluggish and strangely irritable during winter months which makes me wonder if he might have seasonal depression.

Dan: nah, that's just the bear part of his DNA

Elise: the. the what.

- Dan and Elise both have C-PTSD (I don't think I have to explain why Dan does, Elise's is from basically being trained as a child soldier & just that she's likely experienced many traumatic things during her job), Elise copes with it mildly better than Dan but she's mostly just better at putting up a front of normality

- also Dan is obviously autistic. he's undiagnosed and doesn't realize until he's in his 20s or 30s. The discovery of noise cancelling headphones make his life a little bit easier

- Chris is also neurodivergent in some way but I haven't narrowed down the flavor yet 😭

- Dan is a trans man this is fact in my head I won't accept anything else, I have like tried to work out timelines and shit just to make it all fit within canon(yes I know most ppl just go screw canon but I just like making things work within it, I'm weird like that). I can't decide if he's had top surgery(post-job at the chicken place, hence the funny note about it) or he just naturally had a small chest and testeorone "masculinized"(for lack of a better word) it somewhat (cause I did prior to going on multiple medications that I could sometimes pass as having a flat chest). He doesn't want bottom surgery cause he doesn't see the point (slightly nsfw: "until they can give me synthetic semen and a prostate I'm not interested"). again mostly projecting there lmao

EDIT: in case this wasn't clear, I mean he sees no point in it for himself, not that he thinks nobody should have bottom surgery

- Dan is a closeted romantic. This is hinted at in canon imo, the thing with the anger management lady is clearly a metaphor for wanting more than a fling. Dan seems to take his romantic attraction to people very seriously, like with Hortence despite not interacting with her much. also his face when Honey kissed him. he's just secretly a big sap who wants to be loved

- Dan is a catboy in spirit. I say in spirit because he has no idea what a catboy is but he's just sooo kitty cat coded. knocks things off tables when annoyed. plays with toilet paper. claws and bites. I hc he meows as a stim with Mr. Mumbles sometimes. Also he hisses at people.

- I know what Chris said in the family cruise ep but I like to think Chris does actually think of Dan as family, mayhaps the holding out the hand scene was a acceptance or realisation of that, maybe that's what the thing he was going to say but forgot towards the end was. this isn't even really a buddyshipping thing it's just that me personally if my best friend didn't consider me family I'd want to jump off a cliff(/j) so I can't handle the thought (seriously though what was Chris going to say. It haunts me.)

- I'll end this on a fuzzy feelings self indulgent headcanon. Dan, Chris and Elise(+ Mr. Mumbles) become a weird little family of ther own. Dan and Elise are like frenemies, who share the same partner, but also deep down they care for each other. platonic love/hate relationship <3

It was early winter when the Kingdoms of all Albion gatheredtogether in Camelot. King Arthur was in his tenth year of rule, and since hehad returned magic to the Camelot eight years prior, this had been his primarygoal. He had travelled throughout the five kingdoms, making his arguments andsettling disputes, large and small. The people of Albion were calling him theKing of Albion, like the land itself had chosen him to bring peace.

The only person who was talked about just as much, if notmore than the King of Camelot, was his majesty’s infamous and shadowed warlock.The rumors grand were grand in size and detail. The only fact they knew wasthat Emrys had been the King’s servant far before he had even become King ofCamelot. Some people said he had been his warlock since his young princehood.Others said that Emrys was the only reason Arthur was King at all. There weresweeping tales of assassination and dark magic. Few of the rumors had truth tothem. Some which seemed wildly ridiculous were the truest of them all.

Either way, there was one fact: the man who stood behind theKing of Camelot, half in shadow and half in light with his eyes alwayswatching, was a man of legend.

Percival was accustomed to people making assumptions abouthim. He was as tall as a tree and the strength of an ox. So it wasn’t unusualwhen people talked about him, even if they didn’t know him. But even after hisknighthood, he was never the center of attention. The King, on the other hand,was always the center of gossip and rumors. Percival admired the Arthur neverlet it get to him. But he wasn’t sure how Merlin managed it. Ever since he wasnamed Court Sorcerer, Merlin had been the center of attention in Camelot andthroughout all of Albion. As a man who had always lived and thrived in the shadow,Percival wasn’t sure how he coped with the rumors.

But as the nobles from across Albion gathered in Camelot tocelebrate a new age of peace, Percival had a perfect vantage point to see howthe nobles of other lands perceived the King and Court Sorcerer.

In the first days of their visit, many of the noblesgathered around Arthur, asking him questions of his adventures and requesting ademonstration of his swordsmanship. Plus, it was no surprise that many ofladies inquired into Arthur’s personal life, usually in a not so subtle manner,because Arthur had yet to marry. When that would happen, Percival’s eyes woulddrift to the figure always standing behind Arthur.

The Court Sorcerer would usually smile to himself, eyes flickingto Arthur.

“I’m a man dedicated to peace.” Arthur would usually say. “Idon’t feel the need to marry.”

In a royal court where marriage only meant a kingdom’salliance, it was easily accepted. But many eyes strayed to Merlin in thosetimes. Many ladies strayed to LordEmrys. Percival often wondered if they asked these questions to Arthur, becausethey were too coy to ask Merlin himself.

But it was during a knights’ training, when many nobles ofthe visiting kingdoms were present, when it came to a head.

The young knights of Camelot stood in front of Arthur. Plus,the knights from Albion’s kingdoms had requested to stand in on Camelot’straining, begging for a chance to prove they were equal to the famed knights.

“Swordsmanship” Arthur began his speech in front of theassorted group, “is about skill. It is about perfecting a set of techniquesuntil they come as naturally as breathing.”

Arthur held out his hand, not even looking behind himself asMerlin handed over his sword. He continued talking, sword in hand. “Swordsmanshipwill save your life, but it will not give you victories.”

“Who would like to figure out what will?” Arthur opened his arms.

Only a thrown gauntlet would have made the challenge moreobvious.

Man after man fought Arthur. Some put up a noble fight.Others…well it was hard to watch a man be beaten in the time it takes to lookdown and then back up.

Eyes kept flickering to the Court Sorcerer, and Percival wasstarting to understand what was at play. Some of the men were distracted byMerlin’s presence. They were terrified of ‘Arthur’s pet sorcerer.’ Arthur continuedhis lectures, but everyone kept their eyes on Merlin, who hadn’t so much asmoved, let alone shown interest in the demonstration. He had seen it allbefore, and Percival knew that nothing bored Merlin more than sword training.

“Has no one fathomed it out?” Arthur asked, slightly out ofbreath. His opponent looked a little offended that Arthur decided to talk whilefighting him. The opponent struck while he thought Arthur was distracted.  Arthur dodged easily.

“The key to victory,” Arthur said, still keeping his eyes onhis opponent, “is focus and determination. You never take your eyes off your taskfor even a second. So while all of you amateurs kept your eyes on my CourtSorcerer, I narrowed down your weak point and kicked you into the dirt.” As hesaid this, his opponent’s eyes did indeed go to Merlin and Arthur did indeedkick him to the dirt.

The opponent huffed as his face pressed the training fieldground. Arthur’s hand on his back and sword held steady.

“I do not need a warlock to win a fight.” Arthur said,looking at the crowd. “But if you would like to challenge Lord Emrys, I wouldbe delighted to watch you try.”

Merlin, whose eyes had clouded over with boredom, looked upnow.

No one stepped forward.

Later that evening, after a feast and entertainment,Percival overheard the King speaking with his Court Sorcerer in a privatealcove.

“I don’t know why they’re so terrified of you. Do they notsee you stumble over your own robes three times a day?” Arthur said, armscrossed and his eyes looking out the alcove window.

Merlin smiled, “You’re angry because you don’t frightenthem? What happened to years of cultivating peace?”

“I’ve won countless battles! I’m a leader of armies.” Arthursaid, obviously answering that question with a ‘yes.’

“You are a peacemaker at heart.” Merlin touched Arthur’sheart. “And when they look at me, they see the gods’ magic in the form of a man.”

“You coo at unicorns! Last week you nurtured an injured bird.”

“The gods are merciful,” Merlin teased and pecked a kiss toArthur’s lips.

Favourite rising actor / actress?

Up until recently I would have said Park Bo Gum, because I've loved him since his turn in I Remember You, but after his explosion of popularity with Reply 1988 and MoonClouds I don't know if it's still fair to call him a rising star. I think he has officially risen.

Do Kyung Soo is someone I'm looking forward to seeing more from in the future. He's really quite talented in movies I've seen and some minor roles, he had a web drama recently that I have yet to see. I'm waiting for him to graduate out of his promising idol actor stage and start getting meatier roles.

Park So Dam also really impressed me in Beautiful Mind, and even though the male leads in Cinderella 4 Knights made me gag, I'm looking forward to seeing what she does next.

A drama that traumatized you, not just because it was bad but because the content / subject was very heavy and dark?

Hmm, I feel like I've been more easily traumatized by bad dramas than gruesome dramas. I'm the kind of person who eats dinner while she watches Hannibal, I'm not very squeamish. I did drop Voice because of the violence, not because it traumatized me, just because it seemed over the top and pointless.

I think my best answer is Love Me If You Dare, the Cdrama with Wallace Huo and Wang Kai. The primary antagonist of that show was just so creepy and his pattern of crimes so unnerving that I had a hard time finishing the show.

Which puppy is better : Lee Seun Gi, Kang Ha Neul, Park Bo Gum?

While I don't dislike LSG, I don't have a particular fondness for him like I do the other two. Having to pick between Kang Ha Neul and Park Bo Gum is cruel and unusual though. I think I have to go with Park Bo Gum, who I think is just a smidge more puppyish than Kang Ha Neul. They both have the potential to swing from complete sociopath to total marshmallow at a moments notice, though, and I love that.

A kmovie you can’t forget and why?

I have several kmovies that I keep coming back to over and over again for various reasons, but the one that really caught me by surprise recently and I can't seem to stop thinking about is The Wailing. I like thrillers and the gothic, but I have a hard time with horror movies usually. This movie really doesn't have much in the way of jump scares and cheap tricks. The horror is much more conceptual and the "scary things" are right there out in the open, hiding in plain sight, making you question your senses. I really like the way the story taps into different religious traditions to discuss primordial doubt and the fear of the unknown.

Which actors and / or actresses do you absolutely need to see work together one day ( preferably before you die of boredom while waiting for them to move up their lazy asses)?

Omg, I have so many of these it's not even funny. I don't even know hot to begin to narrow it down. @brainless-out is 100% to blame for me thinking Kim Woo Bin and Eunji need to be in a drama together before I die. I have this idea that Bae Doo Na and Do Kyung Soo need to make a noona romance of some kind. I partially blame @agaggleoffandoms because she encourages these flights of fancy (a directly Sense8 inspired story line about an impoverished errand boy who falls for the second daughter of a conglomerate moonlighting as a underground kickboxer when she saves his life.) As Hwang Jung Eum-ed-out as I am at the moment, I would still pay good money to see her in Siwon in something again, because they're so funny and cute together and it would heal my broken soul. I also think it would be wonderful to seen Park Bo Gum and Kim Go Eun make a drama, something with a more positive outcome than Coin Locker Girl.

Like I said, way too many.

Did the owner of Subway sold his soul to a kdrama god?

While it may seem that franchises like Subway and Quiznos are really trying to make the sub thing happen in South Korea, what we are really witnessing is the visible manifestation of the battle between good and evil in the kdrama heavens. The very fate of dramaland is being decided through PPL, whether we will enter an renaissance of peace and enlightenment or another dark age of problematic jerkass leads, creepy age gaps and horrible wigs. It all rests on Subway now.

When do you think Gong Yoo is going to reveal that he has been secretly married and is now on his seventh child, date / year / month? ( this one is too good to not re-use @alakoba )

What is you opinion on Cha Tae Hyun? ( beware for this could break our tumblr-friendship bond…)

I don't watch variety shows and I came to dramas fairly recently, so I've only seen him in a handful of cameos and The Producers which I liked very much, not so much because of him, but he definitely didn't detract from my enjoyment. Beyond that I don't have an opinion on him.

What kind of kdrama heroine do you dream for in the future?

A professional gamer. A gisaeng who becomes a powerful information broker.

Choose between The Heirs, Scarlet Heart Ryo, The Legend of The Blue Sea or Goblin.

I feel like I'm the wrong person to ask this question, because to me there's an obvious winner and I think I'm supposed to detest all of them in equal but different ways by fandom logic. But I unabashedly loved Scarlet Heart Ryeo in a way that was very well documented, janky editing, scary lead, tragic ending et all. I thought it was wonderful.

Bonus confession: Heirs is an objectively awful show that I have, of my own free will, watched twice in its entirety as well as foisting it on other people. I have no shame.

Personal Reflection -junior Duchess -valedvictorian. -got to dream college (UT AUSTIN), graduated and got scholarships to fund education. Why am I proud of those goals? I set a goal and stuck with it for the most part.

Greater than what i hold onto. Consider: where do u find your safety, security and success? What do you hold onto?

The One Thing: Give up what you hold onto in vain; Jesus is your real gain.

Luke: 18: 18-23 ESV I. Jesus knows your "one thing" Profile: young rich man is… -young -successful. -entitled position of authority and influence. -educated. -do-gooder. "Good teacher, what must I do ro inherit eternal life?" Vs. 18

What is your actual belief about God?   In Singapore- people have the right answer for everything. 1+1=2. Right thing to say. There is this Asian culture to try to save face You have a different.... Face with family. Face In public Face with friends. Face at work. Americans value freedom of expression.. as long as I express myself that’s what matters. Not as much freedom to express what you honestly feel in Singapore and Asia in general.

It’s hard to know what people’s actual belief’s about God is because there is this culture of saving face. What is your actual belief about God? Jesus starts to reveal what he actually believes. Jesus asks.. why do u call me good? No one is good except God alone. God defines what is good alone. Do u really know and believe I am God?

The young rich guy: tells Jesus “I have kept the ten commandments since i was young.” Modern day rendition: “I I I think that I am good, and i am going to jesus for him to affirm me as a good guy…” “Don’t you see those 17 gold stars i saw in kindergarten. The rich guy was insecure..  genuinely curious. The way he responds is a little defensive explaining himself insisting on his own goodness.

Pastor Joe: For many years i felt like i was a good kid. I did all the right things.. knew all the right answers. Jesus revealed the mans actual belief. This is your one thing in life. He was sad, because he had a great number of treasures.

***The rulers actual beliefs: Good things, come to good people by their own good efforts.

**This mans actual one thing (God) My own accomplishments and gains.

Sometimes it takes faith to recieve Gods gift.

Pastor Joe: “Some of you use church as a cover for your unfaithfulness. Send me Lord... why? I was running away. I was such a perfectionist that i hesitated to turn in papers on time. Man... i don’t care about what ppl think but I care what ppl think.

Have you ever been uncomfortable trying to follow God? I don’t want to do this... Im so dry.. God just disagreed with you. Have you ever walked away from God but ever walked away feeling sad? You are here present but you heart is not.

What is that one thing? That thing u have to give up.

What is your one thing? God has revealed to you that you have put your trust in? Your true idol for safety, security? Success?

When Jesus isn't your one thing, Jesus just becomes an add-on in your life to make you feel more affirmed?

I placed my church inv. At my significance. Person came in late to access and judges them for being late. I refused to address outside of Jesus. I tried desperately to find my significance in anything and everything even in good things like the church.

The young ruler found his safety and security in things other than Jesus. When we surrender to God we are so focused on the losing part we dont realize what we are gaining. I wonder if he was insecure and didnt know the steadfast love of God was greater than anything else in this world.

What the young man should have responded.. is i have no good apart from God. Psalm 16: 1-2.

II. Jesus is worth surrendering to Read Luke 18: 24-27 The disciples told Jesus “you just turned away your prime candidate.” This guys has been to OCR b4 ocring, and been to every OCR, participated in Freshman missions, did Csmp and now going on asian missions. This rich guy “Hes done it all. Hes the ultimate bachelor. If not him.. who is good enough?”

***Our idolatry makes it impossible to follow Jesus and gain eternal life. Marriage is an exclusive committed relationship. Even if you are the most hard working person in life.. if its not Jesus your pursuit..  then at some point you may turn away.

Jesus is the only good one.. its on his goodness that we stand upon.

Ask yourself: Is there anything you feel like you deserve more of? Have you been obsessed with your competence, reputation, or ranking amongst others? Have you been experiencing a loss that u need to grieve over? Is there something youve gained that you feel you need to hold onto? Is there something you dont want to pray about?

A lot of seniors.. What r u doing after graduation.. idk.. stop asking me. Its embarrassing just to say IDK. Like an essay you are dragging out that you don't know. Second, Third, 4th friend all get jobs.. First friend.. you are happy.. But you think what about me God?

Come to LG you have job.. Praise God it was a gift to me.. yes lord it was a gift praise God..i can be a missionary in my field. 4 months in and your like i hate work.. it stinks.

We always challenge graduates to give your first paycheck to step out in faith.

Students esp... im telling you its harder and harder to give up your all. As a bachelor.. all i have is time.. married.. i hesitate.. Becuase of my Baby boy.. As you get more sucessful you gain more.. the more you gain the harder it is to give and hold up.

***Is Jesus really worth it? Jesus makes eternal life worth it.  .. not by yourself but by the work of God. Vs. 27   He makes it possible to say and do good works.. overflow of good works. Ephesians 2:8-10

Read Luke 18:28 Surrender to Jesus is complete. Surrender to Jesus is continual. In order for it to be complete but continual.

J.D. Greer Surrender starts with the realization that... I would gladly give it all. Surrender means coming to God with open hands and open heart. Am I fully surrendered?

Following Jesus doesn't have anything with your current profession.. its something deeper than that. Regardless of what your doing.. what and where.

Jesus is worth it all. Paul.. whatever I had i counted as a loss for the sake of Christ.

I was so dedicated to the middle East in the military I even came up with the... Four Ms Missions in Military for Muslims in Middle East - genuine prayer at first. Camp Greenly. Rifle in my hand and training.. shooting at target. God spoke to me to pray... Vivid image of when i gave my life a few years prior.. ive been pining my hopes in marine corps. I took pride in it.. over the years.. i put my safety security and significance in military. I took out loans.. forgive all loans if you sign up for more years.   I had stopped turning to the Lord as my providor. My lord i give up marine corp.. Hehe.  I see what u are doing..   Go to county called dajbootie. Narrowed down list.. Ok lord send me. My name wasnt called. Lord.. what is it that you want me to do? Those good things had become my one thing. Whole season pray through.. hopinh whatever you want to do.. show me and ill follow.

God opened door.. miracle provision for transformation center. Month later.. Months later pastor Andrew.. asked me to get inv. With church.. Month after that sent pastor ben. Month after that first int. Church plant.. 6 months. God showed me this is what I'm doing. Person challenged me.. what y Fast and pray about it.. I think, I think God was calling me to be a Pastor..

Went with Jakarta for a year.   That was a hard year. Christ was probing my heart what my one thing really was... Are we even listening to what the Lord has to say.

Psalm 27:4 Intimacy from God was Davids one thing.

Reflection: I think for me, I doubt that God wants me to give up on being an AuD. I just don’t think that’s what God want’s for me, but I think He is wanting me to surrender my timeline, by not getting into grad school this year, it kind of screws up my 10 year plan, but maybe one more year in Austin is just what I need to help transform me into a missionary not only as a worker in the workplace, but also as a student, in all areas of my life. 10+1 year timeline here we go. Also if you get a chance, please watch Pastor Joe’s from Singapore’s preaching. He’s such as hilarious pastor, he’s so sassy, in speaking truth to people’s lives, he calls them out on their bluff.
