hi!! u mentioned in that post abt not me being offguns last bl that they both had done queer projects in the past and could do more in the future; i was wondering if u meant just their past bl projects like puppy honey and tol or if there were other projects that werent as “gmmtv bl series with hs students”-esque?
Hi!
No when I said that I meant they've both done explicitly queer roles OUTSIDE of the BL genre. For Off those shows were GMM shows since he only started acting after getting into GMM. But Gun has been acting since he was a child and has done several explicitly queer roles in indie movies and some guest roles in lakorns.
Off technically only has one explicitly queer role outside of BLs, which is Chuamong Ton Mon, a 2018 lakorn about Cin who is a "cinderella" type character who gets possessed by the ghost of a gay ceo and then he helps her get her life together. In the lakorn, Off plays the role of her younger half brother Sun who is secretly working to help Cin keep their family afloat. Sun gets recruited into the dead ceo's agency as a model and ends up dating Leo's previously closeted model character Justin. It's one of the few lakorns I've watched and I honestly recommend trying it out. The main plot is quite interesting and fun and all the side characters add a lot to the show too. And OffLeo make an adorable pair.
Additionally, a lot of Off's roles are often heavily bi coded imo. Zen from Fabulous 30 and Krathing from Richy Rich being the most obvious examples. Both shows I also recommend watching if you haven't yet but maybe skip the main character's storyline in Fab30 and just do Yui and Zen bc they're the real stars of the show and the only ones that matter. Yui is also explicitly aspec and it was really good to see her and Zen negotiate how their relationship would work without physical intimacy. Even though it could have been better executed it was still a pretty big deal for that time to have an adult female aspec character who not only ends up with the guy she likes but isn't "fixed" by her romantic relationship.
As for Gun he's done soooo many roles throughout his career that I couldn't possibly give out a list. Best to just go through his mdl page for details. But his most prominent queer role before he started doing BLs was as Tam in The Blue Hour in 2015 where he co-starred with Oab. The movie was also P'Nuchie's (not me director) directorial debut. It's one of Gun's best works in my opinion. Outside of that, a lot of his roles throughout his now two decades(?) long career have been queer/queer coded but most of em are from shows and movies that I don't have access to.
And lastly! This one may be a bit controversial but technically Puppy Honey is NOT a BL but a general romcom with a mlm ship. So their entry into BLs wasn't even through an actual BL. BLs were just so scarce at the time, in comparison, that non BL mlm ships like PickRome and PeteKao and even InSun from Edge of 17 got lumped into BLs and eventually got their own "BL show" through Our Skyy and for PeteKao DBK as well. (Although since PeteKao came from a bl novel idk if they're the best example here, but oh well.)
So yeah! Even though this will likely be their last proper BL I wouldn't say there's no chance of seeing either of them in queer roles again, whether individually or (maybe) together.

Seeing the FNAF fandom from afar since like... summer 2014 when the first game came out, is honestly kind of distressing to notice the changes in the blatant majority of kids. It's a fandom so obviously I'm not saying they all would have turned into normal people, but good lord there are so many gendies in them. I fear this is an inevitable tragedy of modern fandom. Since I assume you're definitely more of a fan than me, what's your opinion on the matter?
it is very gendie now. kids always clung to it, the youth have an affinity for the indie horror games their fav lets players show them, but it was just much much different years ago. there was no gender talk about it, no one was all "freddy says trans rights" or "x is trans!" it was just understood that these were animatronics tampered with or possessed (considering the first 3 came out in rapid succession to each other, less than a year first 1 to 3). there was no fan art of purple guy with mastectomy scars, no gay gay gay ship ship ship about it unless it was crack.
people were more "realistic" i think? not that its a realistic series, but people werent afraid to get controversial on their thoughts and opinions. it was understood that an awful tragedy caused the events of the games. i remember when people first found out the animatronic jumpscare noise was a crying child! it was more speculative about the game, even with people wanting to yiff the fox. but mostly people wanted to figure out the story. who is purple guy? what is golden freddy? who are these night guards? why is mike so stinky?
