i WILL say

i do really like that joe kelly in writing this comic definitely hits at a fact/facet of peter parker that some authors try to deny which is that like—oh he’s losing his intelligence, what does that mean? well if he’s losing his “higher thinking,” he’s losing his deliberation. if he’s losing his deliberation he is losing his control. and what happens, when spider-man stops being deliberately merciful? what happens when he starts to lose control and loses his capacity for thoughtful action and is reduced to his reflexes and instincts?

and kelly knows the answer to that, which is, of course, rage. deep, deep rage and violence.

that is the core of peter and what makes him so compelling, that he is a man so composed of both righteous and unrighteous fury and rage, justified and unjustified, threatening to boil over if he does not keep tight his control. that peter is a man capable of such incredible violence, who is so angry all the time, and he chooses to focus that on helping people.

i appreciate a writer who can go for that.
