thinking about mk11 subscorp. Imagine how Kuai Liang felt when his Hanzo didn’t come back and it was past Scorp that joined them at the end. Hanzo asked him to go ahead and leave first, but maybe he wouldn't have been killed if Kuai Liang stayed. Imagine what Kuai Liang thought, looking at the much younger version of Hanzo now at their side. It's Hanzo, yes, but not his Hanzo. This Scorpion doesnt remember their relationship and the years of mutual trust and respect they built. He wasn’t the one that stood by Kuai Liang and promised they would avenge the loss of the Lin Kuei together. Kuai Liang's Hanzo was gone and he had to deal with it by himself.

Hi, can I request Bi Han, Kuai Liang and Tomas (separately or together) reactions to a f!reader who is seeking refuge with the Lin Kuei/Shirai Ryu? She knows the brothers from a long time ago, and after a seriously battle, she needs help with her injuries and just laying low. It can be platonic or romantic, I don't mind. Thank you for all your stories!!!
Tumblr media
Idk what this was exactly, I went through multiple drafts but decided to wing it and this became a thing. 🦦
This trio of brothers would take a unanimous vote that you were to stay within the Lin Kuei, just until they could prove that you wouldn’t be sought after, by having frequent search parties look high and low for the individual who had put you in such a injured state in the first place.
Now how the trio would take care of the situation in the meantime were vastly different;
Kuai Liang is out with the search parties looking for your assailant to satiate the anger he felt upon seeing your multiple injuries, many of which from what he could see were intended to have you killed. This only proved to piss Kuai Liang even more that someone was targeting you and if so, what purpose? Did they know of your ties to him, Tomas and Bi-Han?
Either way Kuai Liang felt the need to protect you from this threat by any means necessary as to make up for failing you the first time. He’s steadfast in his ways to keep you safe, he’s stubborn and he’s itching to exact revenge on your behalf.
He essentially becomes your guard dog of sorts.
He’s incredibly stubborn about leaving you for prolong periods of time but he wasn’t about to fight with the medics and will leave for a bit before coming back to watch over you again.
Kuai Liang would even help change your dressings when it was appropriate, much like he did when you would get injured from doing stupid shit and getting scolded by Bi-Han afterwards. He would be his most gentle at this moment in time as he would check up on you, asking how you were feeling and telling you the progress that was being made towards finding your assailant.
Tomas Vrbada would visit you in the medbay the most out of the three, always occupying the seat beside your bed, holding your hand, helping administrate medication when needed and even cooking you easy to consume meals per the medics instructions.
Other than that Tomas would keep you company throughout your healing process whilst hiding his feeling of immense guilt behind a soft smile. He wouldn’t be a hard one to remove from the medbay like Kuai Liang but he would do so begrudgingly, not liking that he’d have to leave you unguarded for long periods of time. So much so that when Tomas came back he would’ve gotten you something from a nearby village as a way to apologise for his absence.
He had gotten you so many gifts that he thought you’d like that he has to move them into one of the spare rooms in the Lin Kuei, more specifically as not to cluster the medbay from hindering the medics from doing their duties.
Tomas would even talk to you about his day in hopes of getting your mind away from the assailant, wanting to provide you an escape from your situation that his two brothers would always bring up upon visiting you. He just didn’t want you to stress yourself out over all this and just take time to rest and let him, Kuai Liang and Bi-Han take care of everything else.
He frequently promises to find your attacker but until then you were to be under his and his brother’s surveillance indefinitely.
Bi-Han would visit the medbay the least but that was due to his duty as Grandmaster and could be often found leading the search parties alongside Kuai Liang in search for your assailant, leaving not a single area unchecked, only to come back home visibly frustrated with their lack of progress. It was almost as though the assailant had just up and left the scene not longer after the fight, knowing that they’d be wanted by the Lin Kuei for hurting one of their own.
So when Bi-Han does visit you, it’s usually sometimes late at night when he couldn’t sleep and all he does is place himself in the vacant seat by your bedside, sitting in absolute silence while you slept peacefully. Bi-Han wanted to scoff at your ability to sleep easy despite almost having succumb to your wounds on a multitude of occasions, he suspected that you would be kept up late at night, on edge that your assailant might somehow or someway break into the Lin Kuei and finish what they started.
Not like that would ever happen, Bi-Han practically forbade that being a plausible scenario by having some of his most loyal to perform a mandatory night watch. And besides even if the off chance that they did manage to break in, they would have to face him before delving any further and Bi-Han would promise that he wouldn’t go easy on the assailant either, he’d be aiming to kill and all that.
However if he was able to visit you during the early morning, when he knew he wouldn’t get spotted making a trip towards the kitchen in order to make you something, just like he use to when you were had foolishly forgone the need to eat throughout the day, something he didn’t find out until later on when he saw how weak you were.
Bi-Han doesn’t often show that he cares for you because he was never properly shown how and so when he does, he does so when there is little to no one to bare witness to him prepare you a snack, getting you glasses of water or just watching over you while you slept. For he’s not quite use to being vulnerable or open towards anyone, especially when he’s known you for quite a long time, it was still hard for him to convey that he cared. Yet that didn’t mean he wouldn’t do little things throughout your healing process, for acts of service was his way of saying that he valued you and your company without having to vocalise it.

Hi I’m here with some Shang Tsung Bodygaurd Au Headcanons:
Reptile and Kuai Liang are reluctant friends, mostly for the fact they both were forced into the position they were in. In a way Reptile is a mentor to Kuai Liang, subtly teaching him how to not piss of Shang Tsung and how to stay on his good side to prevent further pain
The collar around Kuai’s neck mostly attacks his nervous system, occasionally it intensifies his pain from his mutations, but that’s when Kuai Liang pissed off Shang Tsung to the point of stricter punishment.
He has seen Shang Tsung’s flesh pits in Outworld and has been an experiment there. As well as seeing the beginnings of the development of Mileena during that time. Once Shang caught him looking at the failed clones, he slyly told him Kuai Liang would be next since in the process.
He is isolated away from everyone else on the island, he has his own quarters near Shang Tsung’s quarters, but he hardly ever uses them, having been forced to stay awake for so long due to nightmares and chronic pain keeping him awake.
Fucking hates Quan Chi, the sourcerer comes to the island frequently to talk with Shang Tsung and always treated Kuai Liang like nothing more than a lower servant. It was even bad enough for Shang Tsung commenting for Quan Chi to stop berating his body guard.
Reptile helps with Kuai Liang’s more, well, more reptile/dragon like traits like the scales and claws to help dial back the pain and irritation.
Even those among the Lin Kuei feel bad for him, as they know that working under Shang Tsung is in itself a death sentence, they have never heard back from those sent to Shang Tsung, they only know their dead when Shang Tsung returns for a new one. Even Sektor feels a bit bad for Kuai Liang despite their mutual hatred
Bi-Han is only being held back by Tomas from acting on impulse to go find Kuai Liang. He doesn’t think he has cried that hard since he was a child when Kuai Liang hugged him goodbye one last time before being carted off.
Tomas and Kaui Laing’s goodbye was bittersweet , Tomas promising they will find a way to get him out of this mess, and Kuai Liang saying not to waste their lives on trying to save him, he has come to terms with it himself.
Part of the clause of the agreement is that in the event it Shang Tsung’s death, his bodygaurd’s service is transferred to Shao Kahn. However by all the events of the tournament and Shao Kahn’s defeat it was never fully recognized.
And not really related to any of the Headcanons but just a angsty idea: Bi-Han is spared but in his stead Kuai Liang dies instead to ensure Tomas and Bi-Han survive against Sindel’s attack and ends up become an wraith under Quan Chi instead of Noob Saibot. So they are apart of helping stop Shinnok’s invasion during the Netherrealm war.
eeeeeee more headcanons gimme gimme (I love these)
After Bi-Han and Hanzo manage to free him, Kuai Liang brings Reptile with him to join the defenders, the two having developed a mutual respect for one another as the only two who understand what Shang Tsung is truly like.
The collar is not the only method of punishment Shang Tsung uses, often threatening (and following through on that threat) to add more mutations if he continues to act out.
He found a clone of himself in the fleshpits once that was already dying and tried to save them, hoping that they could go free even if he could not but he wasn't able too. In the end, the clone knew they were dying and begged him to end their pain so he did. He buried them under a tree and named them Yi, meaning justice or righteousness, as a vow to get justice for them one day
At this point he can go days without sleeping, and once he's free it's only Bi-Han's and later Hanzo's presence that can convince him he is safe enough to do so.
Upon discovering that Hanzo wants Quan Chi dead, Kuai Liang tells him everything he knows about the man as a way of getting revenge.
Reptile tries to help, but can only do so much given the differences in their scales, but Kuai Liang is grateful for it nonetheless.
Sektor even argues with his father about sending more Lin Kuei to Shang Tsung, believing it to be a bad investment, but Oniro refuses to stop
Tomas has to actually tie Bi-Han down to stop him from trying to kill Oniro for sending Kuai Liang to Shang Tsung.
Bi-Han blames himself for Kuai Liang's fate, thinking it was bc he acted out and so his brother got punished.
Sektor, after his father dies and is cyberized actually tries to uphold the agreement, but fails.
That last headcanon is so good and angsty, I love it

@paindealt asked.... (aka the MK Kommunity Rambler)
Honestly YESSSS. That's what I love about Sub-Zero and Scorpion, and just Mortal Kombat characters. Is that they're IRONIC, and they have things about them that intentionally contradicts what character they're supposed to be. And that? Makes them feel more realistic imo. With a lot of characters in medias, they tend to fit one role/mold (like the stoic one, or the angry one, the funny one etc etc) which makes them feel one dimensional. But not the MK kast. Not only what we just talked about.
Raiden is another fine example. Like, he's this wise mentor character -- yet he FUCKS UP so badly. In fact, lots of people blame Raiden for the key problems in the series. Like Earthrealm's defender, yet he led characters' to their deaths, technically tried to sell their souls, became a "bad" (or "dark") for a little bit. Like Raiden is that wise old guy, but he's far from perfect, and even his wisdom is of no help. And I just find that very interesting about the kast & why I love them so.
The Mortal Kombat characters just SURPRISE you. And not in an ooc/bad writing sort of way. They're like REAL PEOPLE, and not only do they have a lot of history -- but you find out things about them you wouldn't expect. And it's why the MK games are my FAVORITE fighting series, just because the series really aced their characters and they're so good.
Like Kuai for example... when we see him older, it feels like he's actually aged. His younger self seemed more emotional, more liable to do something impulsive without thinking. (Example; going to straight on kill Scorpion for his brother without considering the circumstances). And then we see older Kuai and how much he's matured, how much wiser he became, and overall a man of peace. Yet... he STILL feels like the Kuai Liang we know. They did an amazing job with realistically aging Kuai up.
Same with Johnny and his younger self. And I know I'm rambling now. But MK just does an AMAZING job with its characters and I am impressed by it. Yes, there are still some ooc stuff, or they didn't do a character justice... (such as the death of Hanzo). But for the most part, they're good at writing realistic & interesting characters and except for a select few (mostly from the ps2/3d games era) I honestly adore all the characters.
I love that they’re both ICONIC and IRONIC, and despite their supernatural abilities and exceedingly and excruciatingly tragic lives, I believe they are two of the most relatable and characters who one can sympathize with the most. I called it their duality, but also, it’s their complexity and humanness that initially intrigued me to nab Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion and Kuai Liang/Sub-Zero as my dual-muses (obviously)!
To begin, the premise of my blog’s creation (based on the word cathexis, which means THE CONCENTRATION OF MENTAL ENERGY ON one particular person, idea, or object (ESPECIALLY TO AN UNHEALTHY DEGREE - which I headcanoned here). Basically, it has to do with Hanzo’s most woeful tragedy that only has brought him a vicissitude od descension; with the loss of his life, his family and his clan, he has lost self-control, governance, freedom and humanity. By accepting the hubbed hell and excruciating suffering by letting himself be forged in hellfire, Scorpion not only lengthened his life (if he were to simply accept his fate without vengeance, then Hanzo Hasashi obviously would have not existed ever), he found the sole, one-track mind to seek out the one who annihilated his life to charcoal dust and exact revenge, to cause equally excruciating suffering against anyone who had been complicit in his clan’s demise (most notably Bi-Han, Quan Chi, Shinnok and Sektor, amongst the others who are subordinates under them).
Despite Scorpion’s motive being immoral and wrong, I cannot help but to let it justified, because he too, is inwardly and outwardly suffering through his own hubbed hell and chaos and insanity. Through anger, there’s an associated sorrow and suffering and through vengeance, there’s self-destruction and emptiness that’s so humanly relatable and connect to. It’s also the universal idea that the concept of self-sustenance and familial love is what serves as the foundation of anyone’s fueled desire, responsibilities and duties.
Through his suffering, depression and PTSD that continue to haunt him, despite taking more than two decades to free himself from the shackle of the past and let Harumi and Satoshi’s death become the fuel for his fiery passion to protect the Earthrealm at all the cost and regain his humanity and redeem himself, Hanzo’s redemption arc is essentially what drove me towards Mortal Kombat and especially MK11. It is a poignant, emotionally-changing makeover of an individual who literally has gone through hell and back, to be killed multiple times only to be resurrected and come back even more stronger, and gradually purified towards the good side with his solemn vow becoming evermore stronger. I especially like the fact that the franchise’s quintessential antihero got a huge transformation, to serve the side of good for seemingly the first time, without wrath and revenge, only to meet the most noblest death one can suffer through the all (through the allegory of retelling of The Scorpion and The Frog).
Kuai Liang is one of those people who you immediately feel sympathetic for; he’s your quintessential good guy who has also suffered so many hardships, yet the stacked experiences of the past has only made him kinder and wiser; he IS perhaps the most miserable character (next to Hanzo) in my opinion.
His clan (or most of it anyway) gets forcefully converted under Cyber Initiative. And that's after Kuai Liang rebuild it piece by piece, to add insult to injury.
His protégé Frost absolutely hates his guts, betrays him, cyberizes herself and even leads the new Cyber Initiative that perverts everything his Lin Kuei vision stands for. He's obviously hurt by it too, as seen in one of his intros ("Was I such a bad mentor?").
His friend Cyrax has to be put down literally right after he's freed from the cyber mainframe.
His other friend Smoke is trapped in Netherrealm according to Noob Saibot (Bi-Han) who taunts him with his.
According to his Story Ending, his biggest wish is to redeem his brother which is quite obviously not happening anytime soon without the Hourglass and in the main story line.
From many of his intros it seems that as a Grandmaster, he lives a lonely life. He straight up tells Cetrion that "love gets in the way" and both Jax and Johnny note that he doesn't socialize much outside of his Lin Kuei duties.
He makes peace with Hanzo and both become respected equals and brothers in arms. Hanzo then gets promptly killed by D'Vorah and Kuai Liang is understandably upset about it ("This is for Hanzo" intro with D'vorah).
In a lot of his intros with Jade, he constantly badgers her to join the Lin Kuei and she always refuses (funnily enough, in her intro with Scorpion she's more than eager to prove she can join the Shirai Ryu, despite not being from Earthrealm).
He keeps getting his ass whooped in almost all trailers or promotional videos.
Add on top all he had to endure throughout MK9 and the MKX comics (forcefully cyberized, killed by Sindel, then painfully "remade" again into a Revenant, gets tainted by the Kamidogu dagger, Scorpion almost kills him etc.).
Sub-Zero deserves major respect. He’s been through all this, and wasn’t seduced by Kronika’s promise of a new era and still remains resilient and headstrong and a beacon of hope in Raiden’s army against the Keeper of time.
I obviously concentrated on Hanzo and Kuai, because I love them much more than the other MK rosters (obviously), but I definitely agree that Netherrealm Studios has done such an amazing job not only fleshing out their characters and giving them relatable growth and development, but different facets of their characters that become so intriguing and contradicting in a sense. Hanzo could be stern, hot-headed and intimidating outward, yet he’s perceptive, astute and compassionate to those who deserve his trust, loyalty and love. Kuai is your ever-stoic, phlegmatic individual who hides all of his pain and suffering inward, yet he’s so open about his philosophies and is able to crack ice puns or partaking in pranks, etc. They’re so multifaceted and the possibilities are endless, which makes them two of the most amazing characters.
TL:DR; I FUCKING LOVE THEM SM.

Jubei Lives AU Part 2/2: MKX
Remember this AU I made a awhile back? I finally manage to make part 2 of this. We’re diving into Mortal Kombat X territory. (Also, this AU will not extend to Mortal Kombat 11).
Here’s Part 1 for a refresher. This is a longer than the last one.
Enjoy:)
****
Several months passed since Jubei and Hanzo reunited. Shortly before the events Mortal Kombat X, Jubei returned to Special Forces, keeping contact with his father.
The first 7 chapters play out pretty much the same as it did in the game, with minor differences.
Jubei is assigned to help at the camp where refugees from Outworld’s civil war are staying. Cassie & her team return from their failed training exercise at the Lin Kuei grounds. Jubei greets them as Kenshi explains the situation. They all hear Li Mei’s story where she revealed that Shinnok’s amulet somehow is in Mileena’s possession.
Before Cassie’s team leave for Outworld, she and Jubei talk alone, since they were close by this point. Cassie expresses her doubts on leading her team but Jubei assures her that she more than capable and believes in her. They both gave a farewell, wishing each other luck.
Cassie’s team trip to OutWorld plays just the same as it did in-game. Jubei helps out with the OutWorld refugees. Sonya’s fight with Kano plays out the same.
Cassie’s team later helps Kotal and his crew take down Mileena. After she's executed, Kotal imprisons the team but they escape.
Chapter 8 is where things start to play out differently.
Word gets out about Quan Chi and his revenants lurking in the NetherRealm. Sonya assembles a team to ambush him, including recruiting Jax. Jubei volunteers to go on the mission. Sonya-reluctantly-lets him go after some persistence.
The team heads to the NetherRealm to meet up with Sareena to prep the ambush. Jubei is alone with his thoughts. Stories that his father told was the only thing crossing his mind. This is the place where Hanzo was reborn as a wraith, and soon he may come face-to-face with the person responsible for Hanzo's pain.
Kenshi and Jax took notice of Jubei’s distress as they go over to check on him. Jax, knowing Jubei’s relation to Hanzo, offers him a chance to turn back. Jubei insists them that he’s fine, that he feels unsure what to do if he comes directly across Quan Chi. The two men assure him that whatever happens, they'll do everything to bring in Quan Chi.
Cassie’s team calls to reveals D'Vorah's betrayal and has the amulet. The ambush and Jax's fight with revenant Kung Lao, Sindel, and Kitana play out the same. The Revenants fled, but Liu Kang and Quan Chi slipped passed SF. Jax decides to go after the pair, despite Sareena & Kenshi's warnings. Jubei offers to go with Jax as his backup, which the man agrees.
Quan Chi and Liu Kang made it to the fortress where they await D’Vorah when Jax arrives. He and Liu Kang have their fight. As Jax emerges as the victor, Jubei sneaks behinds Quan Chi.  Just looking at the sorcerer was enough to send chills down his spine. Jubei didn’t show his fear, only giving Quan Chi an angry look until Jax knocks him out.
SF apprehend Quan Chi. While helping with the escort, Jubei hears that Hanzo is on the base. Throughout the events, Jubei had forgotten to keep contact with his father, leaving Hanzo worried. When he did manage to make contact with SF, they informed him that Jubei was in the NetherRealm. Of course, Hanzo was not happy to hear that, so he went to the base in hopes to intervene, but was too late. All he can do was wait.
A heated conversation follows between father & son. Hanzo reprimands Jubei for going on a revenge quest. Jubei rebuffs that saying that he didn’t do it for revenge, that he did it for Hanzo.
A silence follows before Johnny and Kenshi decided to take the two apart before things could get more heated. Johnny leads Jubei away while Kenshi does the same to Hanzo. Unbeknownst to them, Quan Chi manages to overhear the conversation.
Kenshi takes Hanzo away to a private space.  Hanzo reveals his reasons. Since reuniting with his son, Hanzo grew a small fear of Quan Chi killing him, or that Jubei takes revenge and gets killed in the process. Kenshi tries to ease Hanzo’s worries by explaining that Jubei handled himself well on the mission. Kenshi suggests that should apologize to Jubei, to which Hanzo agrees but not before paying a visit to Quan Chi.
After getting permission from Sonya, and apologizing to her for his behavior, Hanzo speaks to the sorcerer alone. Quan Chi believes Hanzo came to gloat. Hanzo states that the sorcerer no longers has any control over him anymore, and he'll soon answer for his crimes. Before he leaves, Quan Chi brings up the conversation that Hanzo had with Jubei. Hanzo claims that Jubei was only a mere soldier, not wanting to reveal the truth. But Quan Chi presses on saying that the conversation Hanzo had more weight to have with a ‘mere soldier’. He then brings up that back in the fortress Jubei gave an angry look, the type he had only seen on Hanzo. The only way that possible is that Jubei is Hanzo’s son, specifically the one he believed died in the Shirai Ryu massacre all those years ago.
Hanzo gave him no words, though the expression of panic he tried to suppress was enough confirmation for the sorcerer to give an evil chuckle. He comments that Jubei would probably be a better servant than Hanzo. That resulted in Hanzo punching his face. Were it been months ago, Hanzo would’ve killed him on the spot, not caring about the consequences. Having Jubei back in his life allowed him to think more clearly. Before leaving the cell, Hanzo tells Quan Chi that he's only still alive because Raiden needs him to free the revenants. But when the time comes, he will end the sorcerer’s life.
Hanzo soon found Jubei alone. Hanzo apologizes for he acted. Jubei also apologizes for leaving Hanzo out of the loop. The reason he joined on the mission was that he wanted to give Hanzo peace by help capturing Quan Chi him. Hanzo states that no one is safe as long the sorcerer is around. Jubei reaffirms what he told his father months ago that nothing will come in between them.
Alarms suddenly blare near Quan Chi's cell. They rush over to see Johnny, Sonya, Kenshi, and SF members fighting off D’Vorah, the Revenants, and Quan Chi who is now free. Hanzo goes to deal with him while Jubei goes to help the others. Quan Chi reveals that he allowed himself to be captured so he could free Shinnok within EarthRealm. They fight each other with Hanzo emerging as the victor and demands Quan Chi to call off his attack. However, in the midst of the battle, D’Vorah takes Jubei hostage and threatens to kill him unless Quan Chi is let go. Johnny tries to save him but is knocked out by one of the Revenants.
Reluctantly, despite Jubei’s protests, Quan Chi is released. He and his followers leave for Raiden’s Sky Temple, taking Jubei & Johnny as hostages, threating to kill them if they're pursued.
Cassie’s team return shortly to see the destruction left behind. They learned what happened and it's up to them to save EarthRealm. Hanzo tries to go with them, despite the injuries he received from the brawl, muttering that he couldn’t lose his son again. Cassie and Takeda convince him to stay put, promising that they'll save Jubei.
Quan Chi’s group ambushes Raiden at the temple. The sorcerer taunts the Thunder God before heading into the Jinsei chamber in tow of D’Vorah and Johnny, leaving Raiden with the revenants, and Jubei. The revenants taunt Raiden before he fights back before he is overwhelmed. Jubei manages to free himself from his binds and goes to help The Thunder God fight them before telling Raiden to deal with Quan Chi.
Although reluctant to leave him, Raiden goes into the Jinsei chamber but he arrives too late. Shinnok has been freed from the amulet and imprisons Raiden. Before he infects the Jinsei, Shinnok proclaims that 'such a beautiful moment can't be rushed.' He then proceeds to torture Johnny and Raiden.
Chapter 11 happens as normal, except Cassie’s team plane is grounded due to malfunctions (since Shinnok hasn’t infected the Jinsei at this point). They are ambushed by Kotal Kahn’s forces and fight them off until Kuai Liang and the Lin Kuei arrives, having been alert by SF.
The team arrives at the temple to see the revenants guarding the entrance, and Jubei once again in their custody. When notices them, he attempts to distract the revenants by mocking them. Liu Kang sends Kung Lao and Smoke away while he, Kitana, and Sindel start beat Jubei. Cassie’s team took that moment the strike and take out the 3 revenants. Cassie & Jin tied them up, whilst Takeda & Jacqui free Jubei.
They learn from him that Shinnok is freed and in the Jinsei chamber. Cassie, Kung Jin, and Jubei rush in there, while Takeda & Jacqui stays out to deal with Kung Lao and Smoke.
The trio arrives to see Shinnok torturing Johnny. This prompt Cassie’s powers to awaken. A standoff occurs between Cassie’s and Shinnok’s group before a fight occurs. Cassie vs Shinnok, Kung Jin vs D’Vorah, and Jubei vs Quan Chi.
Cassie manages to defeat the former elder god thanks to her magic. Jin had trouble with D’Vorah but manage to take her down and goes to free Raiden.
Jubei has difficulty fighting the sorcerer due to his injuries. After he knocked on the ground, Quan Chi tells him that he plans to make him a revenant and to show him to Hanzo. He'll even make them fight to the death. Resulting in either Hanzo killing Jubei and living with the guilt, or Jubei killing Hanzo and he becomes a revenant.
Unknown to him, Jubei had a kunai of his own, gifted by his father, hidden. That statement was enough for him to pull it out, strike Quan Chi in the shoulder.
“GET OVER HERE, BITCH!” Echoed the chamber before Jubei pulls Quan Chi over and proceeds to beat the everloving shit out of him, proclaiming that he'll never harm his family ever again. In his final punches, he had one for himself, the Shirai Ryu, his mother, and his father for the knockout punch.
Once all three villains are now defeated, Jubei collapses from the physical and mental exhaustion. Cassie and Jin manage to catch him before he struck the ground. Before passing out, he asks them if they save the realm which Cassie replied with yes and that the Jinsei is left unscathed. Sonya and SF arrive soon after.
Jubei wakes up in the SF recovery room to his father on his side. Hanzo explained that Shinnok, D’Vorah, and Quan Chi are apprehended and that the revenants are in SF’s custody as well. He then tells his son that he is proud of his efforts to save the realm and defeating Quan Chi. They both say they love each other.
Cassie's team soon visit Jubei's to check on him. They offer him a spot on their team. Jubei asks Hanzo's opinion to which he states that he'll support whatever decision he makes. Jubei accepts the offer.
A lot happens during the next few weeks. Raiden takes Shinnok to the Elder Gods where he’ll be imprisoned under their close watch. Kotal Kahn makes peace with EarthRealm. Once the remaining Revenants are rounded up and restored, Quan Chi is given a summary execution carried out by Hanzo himself.
And all is well from there. Raiden doesn’t go dark. Quan Chi is out of the picture. The Revenants are alive. Hanzo and Jubei’s bond is stronger than ever. And more importantly, there's no Kronika. Everyone pretty much gets a happy ending.
The End.

ALTERNATIVE FOLDER: DIVERGENCE
They came out of nowhere in the middle of the night, even when the strongest Lin Kueis gave their best attempt to defend the temple, the students were hijacked one by one in the Grandmaster’s absence. Even the other cryomancer that still carries the blood of warriors couldn’t defend herself, knocked out by the leader of the Cyber Initiative.
A white light woke her up, perceiving the deadly metallic tools above her face, she wasn’t supposed to wake up before the procedure, but due to her biology, she’s more resistant under the influence of narcotics. Sektor studied Frost even before striking against the clan, he studied every single member, who wasn’t worthy of becoming another cyborg in his lines and who could be the next leader in case he can’t complete his mission. However, this was informed not by Sektor himself, but by one of his cyborgs, the rest of the clan was suffering a destiny worse than death, and she would suffer the same fate as well.
Her own rage, the one who’s been under control for years under the guidance of the Grandmaster, was responsible to save her from the units that kept her captive. The more she stayed in the conversion room, the more Lin Kueis would be converted into cyborgs, mindless machines obeying the orders of someone else. One by one, Frost got to save 9 members of her clan, just like her, they were afraid and confused, unknowing if Kuai Liang himself was turned into a cyborg again, Frost had no other choice than lead the group out of the factory and escape from it, even if it means fighting their way out. Gladly for the group, they got to encounter Kuai Liang and Hanzo Hasashi in their way out, since the group wasn’t in the best conditions to fight (some were wounded, others under the effect of narcotics and affected by the traumatic events), the group had to leave and hide until it was safe to return, meanwhile Frost was requested to stay along with the two leaders, since she could provide information and help.
After years of the first encounter, things were still difficult between her and Hanzo, the unconformity is easy to sense in the air, however she didn’t direct any word towards him, since she only cared about the safety of the remaining Lin Kueis, investigate why the Cyber Initiative is back from the past and Sektor’s reasons to isolate her and perform a different procedure. Frost reunited with the rest of the Lin Kueis that hide inside of a cavern, away from the Factory but safe enough for them to recover. The cryomancer had the task to take them back to the temple if it wasn’t for the sudden apparition of an unknown Titan, Kronika arrived just in time to convince the warrioress to join her, promising a new future in which she wouldn’t be so affected by a doomed past, granting her the chance to become the Grandmistress by sacrificing her flesh to the cause. But Frost denied the offer, imposed herself to protect the survivors of the tragical strike against the clan. The Titan didn’t take this answer, vanishing the survivors in the form of sand and dust, if she didn’t join her then she would take away her group as a form of revenge, even if Frost regret her decision of denying the offer, the Titan didn’t hold back her disappointment, leaving the cryomancer alone and completely shattered after seeing her people dying in front of her.
This was enough reason to join the rest of the group, familiar and new faces, people she heard of, and a version of Raiden that seemed closer to what she saw for the very first time. Frost has one big reason to fight the Titan, the death of her clan and earlier kidnap. Even if that means allying with people she can’t stand with but would prove her talent to save the realm.

Legend of Wyatt: Mortal Kombat
It’s just a normal day for Wyatt MacArthur. Actually, it’s rather quiet; no immediate dangers that need the aid of the Avatar. So he decides to take the night off to be with his friends and girlfriend, Natalie. But while they’re out having fun, Wyatt is suddenly teleported away.
Wyatt awakens in a temple courtyard where a fight is taking place between Kitana and Smoke (ninja, not robot). Smoke wins and kills Kitana, much to Liu Kang’s dismay. As Wyatt watches Liu mourn over Kitana, he is approached by Raiden, who says he’s responsible for teleporting him [Wyatt], which he ensured no one else noticed.
Before Wyatt can get anymore answers, Shang Tsung announces Smoke’s next opponent. Liu demands to fight, but the sorcerer summons Wyatt instead. Being a new warrior for Earthrealm, he’s now forced to participate in the tournament. Liu is angry, but Raiden talks him down. Wyatt sees the desperation in Liu, and can even relate to it. So he reluctantly fights Smoke. He manages to win using just airbending and firebending. Both Shang Tsung and Liu demand Wyatt kill Smoke, but Wyatt refuses. So Shang Tsung kills him instead, stealing his soul, much to Wyatt’s shock. Liu berates Wyatt for his mercy. Due to Wyatt’s history, he’s sworn never to kill out of revenge, even if it’s someone else’s. Liu storms off.
Afterwards, Wyatt speaks with Raiden. He tells him everything; the tournament, how all of his defenders sans Liu have thus far been slain, and what will become of Earth should Liu lose as well. Raiden is forbidden to compete since he is Earthrealm’s deity. And so, with no more fighters available to defend his Earth, Raiden desperately had to summon one from another (alternate dimensions). Besides, if Liu were to lose, the emperor Shao Kahn would not only conquer Earth, but might eventually learn of Wyatt’s Earth and conquer it as well. Raiden apologizes to Wyatt, who becomes frustrated; he was kidnapped from his friends, forced to fight in a death game, and now the existence of his world maybe exposed to an evil emperor. Raiden could send him back, but won’t. Wyatt storms off.
Shang Tsung speaks with Shao Kahn. He’s troubled by Wyatt, the new and sudden arrival to protect Earthrealm. After watching his fight with Smoke, he’s convinced he’s an elder god like Raiden, and therefore has no place in the tournament. Kahn denies this theory; he knows the elder gods’ identities better than anyone. He theorizes the existence of alternate dimensions, an idea which interests him, because it means more worlds for him to conquer. Regardless, Shang Tsung mentions that due to Wyatt’s arrival, they should continue with the “plan”. Kahn grants him his request.
Liu is on the bridge/pit, taking in the destructive sights as he thinks about Kitana. He’s also angry at Raiden; by bringing in a new warrior, he thinks Raiden doubts his strength and can’t win the tournament on his own. And of course, he still hates Wyatt. Suddenly, a legion of Baraka demons appear on both sides of the bridge, and under it, ambushing Liu (this was the “plan”). He tries to fight them off, but they’re too many. Just then, Wyatt appears and saves Liu. He tries using the Avatar State, but it doesn’t work. So Wyatt includes all of his bending this time, throwing the Baraka off-guard and surprising Liu. Wyatt even metalbends some of their blades. Down to the last/leader Baraka, Wyatt and Liu send him plummeting off the bridge and onto the spikes below. Liu tells Wyatt death is certain in this tournament, one way or another. Wyatt apologizes for Kitana. Liu realizes this ambush wasn’t random, but Shang Tsung’s doing. If that’s the case, he must tell Raiden. No longer mad at Wyatt, Liu asks the Avatar, regardless of his feelings towards Raiden, for his help. After all, if Liu had been killed just now, it would mean Earthrealm is doomed. Wyatt resolves to fight, if it means saving Liu’s world and returning to his own. But he’s still troubled over his inability to use the Avatar State.
Wyatt enters the forest to face his next opponent, Sub-Zero (it’s Kuai Liang, the second/younger one). The ninja respects the Avatar for sparing his fellow Lin Kuei member, Smoke. But that won’t stop Sub-Zero from killing him, whereas Wyatt himself will do whatever it takes to win. The two fight. Wyatt is pummeled within an inch of his life, but pulls a fast one and defeats Sub-Zero. This time, Wyatt gives into killing. He earthbends the ground beneath the ninja, causing him to sink into it. Wyatt stops just as the ground swallows Sub-Zero up to his head, and then he hardens the earth, which crushes the ninja’s body underground, spraying blood all over the snow (fatality=Burial). Wyatt leaves while Sub-Zero’s head is left to freeze, until it’s picked up by Quan Chi, who had been watching the fight the whole time.
Wyatt joins everyone in Shang Tsung’s throne room, where Liu’s next fight is underway. Raiden doesn’t approve of what Wyatt did to Sub-Zero. Wyatt brushes him off, still upset at Raiden for bringing him here and now, for whatever reason, he’s unable to use the Avatar State; he even says he won’t be of much use defending Earthrealm without his full power. Liu’s fight begins; his opponent, Scorpion. It’s a very close fight, neither warrior breaking stride. But Scorpion comes out on top. He eyeballs a terrified Wyatt for a second, and then kills Liu (fatality=Toasty). Raiden stops Wyatt from attacking Scorpion, warning him he’ll be forfeited for interfering. Wyatt tries to heal Liu, but he’s too badly burned. He makes Wyatt promise him he’ll win, and then succumbs to death. Shang Tsung then steals Liu’s soul. Wyatt glares at Scorpion, vowing to kill him. Then he glares at Shang Tsung, vowing to free Liu. Raiden watches, impressed.
Wyatt is already fighting his next opponent, Mileena, in the dead pool. He’s disgusted by the sight of the hanging, burnt bodies. Due to the narrowness of the bridge and Mileena’s quick rolling abilities, fighting her proves more arduous than he thought. Mileena holds Wyatt over the acid, and say’s he’s gonna burn just like Liu did. This sparks fury within Wyatt, and he breaks free. Then he learns he can waterbend the acid, and does so to kill the demon. He sends a dozen frozen acid shards (icicle/acicle) into Mileena, then he thaws them so they burn her internally from the head down.
Later, Wyatt meditates in the gardens, the only tranquil place the death island has to offer. He’s trying to make contact with his friends, with anyone, but something’s blocking him. He realizes it’s Shang Tsung’s magic, which has also been keeping him from using the Avatar State. Suddenly, he’s ambushed by both Cyrax and Sektor. They want to avenge their fallen Lin Kuei, Smoke and Sub-Zero. Wyatt doesn’t have time for robots, and tries metalbending them, but it doesn’t work. By now, by some impossibility, the villains have learned of Wyatt’s abilities (Quan Chi’s doing), and they know he is unable to metalbend platinum, which the robots have re-armored every inch of themselves with. Wyatt tries fighting them both alone, but they’re too much for him. Just then, Raiden appears. The thunder god says the robots aren’t part of the tournament, and he won’t allow Earthrealm’s sole remaining warrior to be killed. Raiden gives the robots a chance to leave. They refuse and engage in a tag team fight.
Wyatt fights Sektor while Raiden fights Cyrax, and then they switch. Raiden kills Sektor (fatality=Electrocution), while a perplexed Wyatt watches. Wyatt jokingly calls him out for killing. Raiden jokingly tells him to shut up. Wyatt, wanting to see more of the elder god’s blood thirst, tosses him Cyrax, who Raiden also kills (fatality=Explosive Uppercut). Before Raiden can say anything, Wyatt tells him to stop; he understands and isn’t upset anymore, finally establishing some trust with the thunder god. Raiden mentions Liu warned him about the Baraka ambush.
Wyatt and Raiden arrive at the throne room. Scorpion appears, much to Wyatt’s delight. The fight between them begins. Suddenly, the ninja teleports Wyatt and himself to the Netherrealm, where he [Scorpion] is even stronger. He explains it was Sub-Zero and his clan who murdered his family. Though he already killed Bi-Han, the first Sub-Zero, he wanted revenge on Kuai Liang as well, which Wyatt denied him. And so, he killed Liu, Wyatt’s friend, out of retaliation. But now, it’s Wyatt who seeks revenge. The two engage in a vicious, bloody fight. Wyatt defeats Scorpion, and is about to kill him using firebending, the same way he killed Liu.
Back in the throne room, everyone waits for the winner to return. Suddenly, Wyatt reappears with Scorpion, still alive. Wyatt tosses him to the ground, and explains his mercy. Scorpion’s family is dead, and killing Sub-Zero didn’t change that. Liu is dead, and killing Scorpion won’t change that either. Wyatt also blames himself for Liu’s death; if he hadn’t killed Sub-Zero, Scorpion maybe wouldn’t have killed Liu (although Liu may have been killed by Shang Tsung anyway due to his loss). Like Wyatt said, if he’s going to kill, he won’t do so out of revenge. And since Scorpion is an undead warrior, there’s no soul for Shang Tsung to steal, so there’s no reason to kill him; Wyatt is aware of this. The sorcerer is angry the Avatar keeps getting the better of him; sparing Scorpion, his tribute, was just another blow from Wyatt. Shang Tsung shares a look with Quan Chi, who has an idea. Scorpion stares at Wyatt, and then teleports away before anything else can happen.
Wyatt and Raiden venture to the Colosseum. Wyatt meets Shao Kahn for the first time. Shao Kahn announces Wyatt will now face the reigning champion, Goro. Raiden warns Wyatt to be careful. Then Shang Tsung transports Wyatt to the lair; Wyatt can’t help but joke/complain about how he’s once again being teleported.
Wyatt drops into Goro’s lair. He’s alert, focused and ready. Suddenly, Raiden (Quan Chi) appears. Wyatt lowers his guard and asks why he’s here. Raiden responds by attacking Wyatt with chi-blocking. Wyatt is dumbfounded and powerless. Raiden disappears just as Goro reveals himself. Wyatt tries entering the Avatar State, but it fails again. With no bending and no state power, Wyatt faces the four-armed champion with his bare hands. But miraculously, Wyatt wins the fight, breaking all four of Goro’s arms and then breaking his neck, killing him.
Wyatt returns to the Colosseum, once again surprising everyone. He immediately charges Raiden, slamming him to the ground. Raiden is dumbfounded. Wyatt doesn’t speak; he just glares at Raiden for what seems like an eternity. It takes a moment to register, but Wyatt realizes it wasn’t Raiden. He confirms this by touching the ground, feeling Raiden’s vibrations as the latter tells the truth. They both turn to Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, knowing they were behind this. Raiden heals Wyatt with his electric power, and then berates the deadly alliance for what they did (rigging the fights so that Wyatt would lose, as well as the ambush on Liu). As such, he demands Wyatt be named champion by default without having to win the final fight, but Wyatt refuses. He wants to face Shang Tsung, and if he wins, not only is Earthrealm to be spared, but the souls of all its fallen warriors are to be freed. Shang Tsung laughs, claiming a thing like that can only be achieved with his death. Wyatt replies, “No problem.” Shao Kahn, intrigued by this turn of events, commences the fight.
Day turns to night. The rain falls. The final fight in the Colosseum. Sorcerer versus Avatar. Even with Wyatt’s bending restored, Shang Tsung is too powerful, stealing Wyatt’s energy throughout the fight. He even shapeshifts every now and then into a different fighter, starting with Liu. Raiden yells at Wyatt not to be misguided; he is still fighting Shang Tsung. The sorcerer then transforms into Kitana, Kabal, Jax and Raiden (Wyatt kind of enjoys beating up the Raiden version; at one point, Wyatt redirects Raiden’s lightning back at him). Wyatt holds his own until the sorcerer changes into Wyatt himself. The epic Avatar vs. Avatar fight shakes up the Colosseum. Wyatt, refusing to quit, manages to beat his doppelganger, forcing Shang Tsung back into his old self. As Wyatt gets closer to winning the fight, he realizes Shang Tsung’s magic is weakening, meaning he can finally use the Avatar State. Wyatt unleashes himself on Shang Tsung, proving far too much for the sorcerer. Wyatt wins and kills the sorcerer once and for all (fatality=Spine Rip).
Suddenly, a soulnado erupts out of Shang Tsung’s corpse. All of the stolen souls have been released, and the Earthrealm warriors who fell in the tournament are free to rest in peace. Wyatt is relieved to see Liu and Kitana’s spirits fade away. Raiden announces Wyatt as the official winner, and declares the tournament is over. He reassures Kahn that Earthrealm is not to be threatened, careful not to mention the existence of another/Wyatt’s earth. Kahn abides Raiden’s words and leaves.
Wyatt and Raiden meet with the elder gods. Raiden explains himself to them, since bringing Wyatt into Mortal Kombat was a violation of the tournament’s rules. Much to his and Wyatt’s delight, the elder gods pardon them for their actions. Raiden is about to send Wyatt home when he feels a sudden vision. Wyatt asks what’s wrong. Raiden just stares at him in shock.
Shao Kahn has invaded Wyatt’s world, starting with Wyatt’s city. It’s being destroyed, and all of his friends are fighting against an army of Baraka. Wyatt and Raiden arrive at his destroyed base. Raiden says he must return to the elder gods for aid; what Kahn has done can’t go unpunished. Wyatt, desperate for Raiden’s help, begs him not to go, but the thunder god does. Wyatt curses Raiden for abandoning him. He steps outside his base just in time to watch Quan Chi kill Natalie. As she dies in Wyatt’s arms, she doesn’t blame him for what happened, and says she’s just relieved that he’s here now to protect the world, like he always does. Kahn jeers Wyatt, having learned of alternate dimensions. Wyatt took away Kahn’s chance of conquering one earth, so he’ll simply take Wyatt’s instead. Wyatt won’t give up. He’ll face Kahn and his whole army alone if he has too; his friends are too busy to help. Wyatt won’t let them suffer anymore than they already have because of him.
Quan Chi has resurrected several fallen warriors from the tournament to face the Avatar: Kano, Reptile, Ermac, Sindel, Kintaro, Sheeva, Noob Saibot and Cyber Sub-Zero; the last of whom was killed by Wyatt himself, so he’s got a personal grudge against the Avatar. Wyatt fights them all alone (with the MK theme song playing in the background). Impossibly, Wyatt kills them all, even without using the Avatar State. But then, to his horror, they all stand back up. Since they’re already dead, they can’t be killed again. Wyatt realizes this is Quan Chi’s doing; as long as he’s alive, his fighters are immortal. They charge Wyatt once more.
Suddenly, Raiden and the MK warriors, all brought back to life, arrive at the base, surprising Wyatt. Raiden made a deal/sacrifice with the elder gods; their souls for his immortality. They owe Wyatt for saving their world, now they can return the favor by saving his. Wyatt doesn’t know what to say, especially to Raiden, except that he’s grateful. Wyatt’s friends want to help too, but he encourages them to fight the evil Baraka army and protect the citizens while he and the MK fighters face Kahn and his underlings. Wyatt’s friends wish him good luck and like Natalie, they don’t blame him either; they’re just glad he’s back.
The ultimate battle begins. Wyatt immediately goes for Quan Chi. He exposed Wyatt’s weaknesses to the robots. He disguised himself as Raiden and chi-blocked Wyatt prior to his fight with Goro. And worst of all, he killed the woman he loved. So Wyatt hurts Quan Chi, and hurts him good. It’s a tough fight, but Wyatt comes out on top. Quan Chi reminds Wyatt he wouldn’t kill out of revenge. Wyatt responds by bloodbending Quan Chi’s leg out of its socket, and then (still using bloodbending at first, and then grabbing the leg with his own hands) beats Quan Chi to death with his own leg until his head explodes. After all, Wyatt had a lot of anger/steam to let off on Quan Chi (fatality=Bloodbending w/ Leg Beatdown). Best of all, with Quan Chi dead, the immortality spell on his fighters has been lifted. In other words, they can finally be killed for good.
Liu Kang and Kung Lao fight Noob Saibot and Cyber Sub-Zero on the street. They realize these are the original Sub-Zero ninjas, but they’re too far gone to be saved, and need to be stopped. Kung Lao kills Cyber Sub-Zero (fatality=Razor’s Edge) while Liu kills Noob Saibot (fatality=The Beast Within).
Johnny Cage faces Sheeva in the subway. During the fight, he acknowledges one of his movie posters on the wall. He kills Sheeva with his own fatality before hurling her in front of a runaway train (fatality=Little Improv w/ subway stage).
Sonya Blade and Jax fight Kano and Ermac in an alley. Back in the tournament, it was Ermac who killed them both. So Jax is really gonna hurt him. Sonya doesn’t mind; she’s just upset that she didn’t get to fight Kano the first time around due to her death. But now’s her chance. They switch back and forth so they can both get their licks. Jax kills Ermac (fatality=Smash and Grab), and then Sonya kills Kano (fatality=Scissor Split).
Kitana takes on Sindel at a construction sight. She scorns Sindel, her mother, for allying herself with Kahn and takes no quarrel in killing her, which she does after defeating her (fatality=Kiss of Death).
Kabal fights Kintaro in a desolated police station. It was Kintaro who burned Kabal to a crisp, so Kabal takes joy in this fight. He slices off all of Kintaro’s arms before killing him (fatality=Tornado Cut).
Nightwolf versus Reptile in a sewer. He uses his energy tomahawks during the fight, and easily kills the ninja (fatality=Ascension).
Raiden fights Shao Kahn on the rooftop. Try as the thunder god might, having relinquished his powers to resurrect his friends, the emperor is far too powerful for him. Before Kahn delivers the final blow with his hammer, Wyatt intervenes. He killed Quan Chi the fastest; the others are still busy with their fights.
Wyatt and Kahn stare each other down. As they talk, we jump back and forth to the other fights. Having heard enough, Wyatt enters the Avatar State from the get-go and charges the emperor. Impossibly, Kahn is able to hold his own even when Wyatt’s at his best. Even worse, he overpowers Wyatt. In a final effort, Wyatt uses bloodbending, but it has no effect on the emperor. Kahn is about to kill Wyatt when a spear suddenly impales him from behind. Wyatt and Kahn stare in confusion. Then Kahn is pulled back, followed by someone yelling, “Get over here!” It’s Scorpion! He reels Kahn back, and beats him up. Then he hurries to Wyatt’s aid.
Wyatt doesn’t understand. Scorpion explains he owed him for his mercy. Suddenly, Liu and Kung Lao appear. Liu and Scorpion stare each other down. Before an angry Liu can rush the ninja, Kahn attacks. The monks take him on first, but Kahn knocks them aside. Then Scorpion faces him. Wyatt needs to heal himself before he can fight again. Scorpion puts up a good match, but Kahn easily overpowers him. Before the others can stop him, Kahn kills Scorpion (fatality=Home Run).
Wyatt, fully recovered, unloads on Kahn. Even while not in the Avatar State, Wyatt does some serious damage. And then, Liu and Kung Lao join in the fight. Soon enough, the other MK fighters join in too, getting their piece of the emperor. Raiden, on the verge of death, appears last, delivering a brutal combo. He’s about to strike Kahn down, but then hands him over to Wyatt (just like what Wyatt did in their robot fight). Wyatt goes Avatar State and beats Kahn to a pulp. Then he traps Kahn’s limbs using earthbending, and kills him using a combination of all four elements (fatality=Avatar State).
Seconds after Kahn’s death, the world reverts back to normal (night becomes day, the city is restored, all who died are brought back). Wyatt is overjoyed to find Natalie alive. He reunites with his friends, who are also unharmed. Raiden receives word from the elder gods; both earths, and all other realms, are finally free of Kahn and Outworld. The heroes have won. But Raiden, too badly injured in the battle, succumbs to his wounds and dies. Wyatt, his friends, and the MK fighters pay their respects, and thank Raiden for his help.
Liu stands on a bridge, taking in the sights of the new world. Wyatt joins him; it’s a mirror image of their scene back on the Outworld bridge. They discuss Raiden, and what they’ve been through. Most importantly, they mention without Raiden, the MK fighters have no means of returning to their home. Fortunately, Raiden appears; due to his sacrifice, he’s now an official elder god. And he can return the MK fighters home. But Wyatt and Liu have an idea; they don’t want to send the MK fighters home just yet.
Wyatt’s friends and the MK fighters are gathered together in the team’s restored base. They’ve decided to hold one last, friendly tournament before the MK fighters go home; them against Team Avatar. The first ones up are Natalie and Kitana. Wyatt and Liu watch, bantering over which of their girlfriends will win. Wyatt and Natalie exchange smiles. Then Wyatt glances around at everyone; they’re all happy. Then he and Raiden share a subtle nod before turning their attention to the fight. Natalie and Kitana smile at each other, then rush each other...cut to black.
