I asked someone else this and I wanna know your take;

any thoughts on the idea of cliffjumper and bumblebee being brothers?

I've heard somewhere—forgot where—that bee and cliff, in the original transformers show/or comics (G1), were supposed to be brothers and that's why they look the same. and if they have kept that idea then it would've made a lot more sense on how the autobots (and others) confuse bee and cliff for being the same bot.

like, their frames and paint jobs are different, especially with their personalities. cliff is red and has sharper horns, bee is yellow with black accents and has stubber and smaller horns. but it's just my take.

Yeah i can them being brothers- when i first saw Cliffjumper in tfa i thought it was a weird version of Bumblebee. X3

Bumblebee is the younger from the twin sibblings- i imagine the way it happened is because the Newspark split at the end of gestation in the factory's artificial chamber so Bee's Spark had to stay in incubation longer while Cliff already onlined.

They got put in the same carequarters after that. Cliff was very protective of his little brother, especially since other Sparklings picked on him for being different(having a creation defect(disability*)). *I headcanon that he has a disability that suppresses his emotions to the point of being near emotionless. He got a patch for it in the academy.

I imagine the reason they are a little different is because they are different age(and because Bee was somewhat of a runt)- Bee is younger therefore his features are not as distinct as Cliff's. Cliff is also taller than him.

So Bee and Cliff went to the same academy, Cliff had finally experienced his brother being like any other bot thanks to the patch he got. Everything was going fine... but then Bee got kicked out for a very massive prank. So yeh, he got enlisted in the military instead. He kept in contact with Cliff the whole way. Bee told him about the bully Wasp and Ironhide and his new friend- first friend besides Cliff, Bulkhead... And then he got kicked out of there too. Thankfully Bulkhead pulled him with him to the repair crew so at least that was good.

Cliff was anxious about Bee's job, they were going into so many dangerous territories. Bee told him that everything was gonna be fine and that after their last stop they were gonna go back on Cybertron to replenish supplies and that he'd visit.

...but the visit never came.

In fact, Cliffjumper saw the news on a repair crew going missing- and a picture of Bumblebee was right there along with the rest of the crew.

His Spark could not have hurt more.

Cliff could only hope they find him and the crew. In the meantime, he finished the academy and completed the study to get into Elite Guard on the file managment department. He met the other friend Bee told him about, Longarm. He asked about his brother and surely enough Longarm knew him. They kept in contact, Longarm and Cliff worked together in the office. Then Longarm got assigned for an exploration mission. For deca-cycles(weeks) there was no messages, but that was to expected...

What he didn't expect was Longarm videocalling him in the middle of his work and seeing Bee on the other end. Cliff cried right there and then.

They talked and caught up- Cliff was very surprised and scared that Bee and his crew for the Allspark itself out of all 'bots. The talked about everything- Bee told him how fun it is on Earth and how much fun he is having here- and how many friends he made!

They have an agreement to call each other once an earth month- which is like once a deca-cycle on cybertron i think. Bee will literally make a checklist of things to tell Cliff of all the things that happened. There isn't much happening in Cliff's life so he's mostly listening to his brother talk.

I would guess Longarm pulled some strings on Cliff's request to go visit earth and his brother. Bee could not have been happier.

I imagine the moment he walks in with Elite Guard he beelines for Bumblebee- the bot's smile grew awfully wide btu instead of a hug he got taken by his shoulders and physically shaken-

"YOU IDIOT! How could you do this to me- Do you have any idea how worried i was?! You just go and disappear- WHY must you get into every trouble possible?!" and then he hugged the dear life out of him...

Yeah, that was a weird first impression to Bee's teammates. Turns out, Bee has forgotten to mention his brother even exists.

To their surprise, Cliffjumper is completely different from Bumblebee: he's well-organized, calm, responsible and very mature. If Bee likes to go wild and party, Cliff likes to sit back with a book and some oil. Even so he's still very portective of his brother, Prowl got to experience it first hand- while Cliff agreed with him on some occasions he also got physically threatened when Bee got upset because of him. Cliff literally pulled him to the side and slammed him to the ground and told him to never speak to Bee like this ever again if he wants to have a working optic...

Optimus on the other hand was surprised to learn Bee had a brother. Cliff took a liking to him quickly. The Prime was kind and caring but also assertive when needed, he could see why Bee kind of saw his as a Sire-figure.

Bulkhead was nice too, the gentleness the giant had with his brother was earning of respect.

Sari on the other hand- She was not what Cliff thought she'd be. He was sceptical at first but eventually they became friends too.

Once Cliff had to go back on Cybertron, Bee gave him a crate of all sorts of things from earth as a gift. There were games and a console to play them on, books, toys- and most definitely the fluffy cubes to match Bumblebee's on his rear view mirror.

They keep in contact, sometimes his friends join in the call.

Destinyverse Q&A

I asked my watchers on Deviantart to send me questions, related to me or Destinyverse, for me to compile and answer for a Q&A! Below the cut is the full Q&A and I hope it’ll be informative about me, my characters, or the Destinyverse universe! c:

Mysticalite:

1. Do any of your characters have any disabilities (I haven’t read all the bios so I might have missed something) if so, who and what do they have?

When it comes to physical, no! Though Destinyverse!Daring Do does have a permanent wing injury that gets in the way of taking off and flying normally (her wing can lock up and impair movement in the air). When it comes to mental (which I think mental illnesses count?); There's Eventide Twister with her general and social anxiety, and Skychaser has his bouts of depression. Then there's one other character who has dealt with clinical depression, and may still have its effects, but well...this isn't the right time to out them. ______________________________________________

2. Does the pony world in your universe have more relation with the human world? Like do more humans come over to the pony world and vice versa? With all video game stuff that involve Nova Spark, it made me wonder, do the humans share their technology with the ponies?

(Note that my answer is based off of Destinyverse headcanons!) There have been fun, silly stories passed around Canterlot City about magic and monsters and highschool students transforming into magical girl human-pony hybrids. But nowadays, people have waved off such stories as one huge school-wide prank or just exaggerated rumors to give Canterlot High and the city an interesting reputation. After graduating Canterlot High, and after magic disappeared (for the most part) from the human world, both Sunset Shimmer and Princess Twilight Sparkle agreed it'd be best to keep the existence of the magic portal on the down low. Not that normal humans who have never come in contact with equestrian magic or have never been pulled in at least once can cross it, but...better safe than sorry. A lot of back and forth communication and monitoring of the area around the portal is needed for Sunset or Astral to pass through unseen. Only those with Princess Twilight's permission are permitted to use the portal to cross back and forth.

As for technology! With all Sunset Shimmer has seen and gathered from the human world, the mare has used that knowledge over the years as inspiration to help advance Equestrian technology! Twilight puts her at the head of planning such projects, though they naturally need blueprints and research notes to be approved by Princess Celestia herself before they can start a project and have it produced for Equestria! ___________________________________________________

3. What kind of technology is available to the ponies from the human world?

Similar to question 2, all advancements to technology in Equestria are human-inspired, but Equestrian-made! And I think it's safe to say magic has been added to the equation to create a unique magi-technology only Equestria would possess (think of how the helicopter blades on Tank's flight gear are run via an enchantment!)

One of the first things Sunset helped introduce were computers and monitors. Naturally an evolution in the gaming industry followed with the creation of consoles and computer games. We also have the creation of CDs and the development of portable music players, which improved the music industry.

There are some ideas still in the works for the topic of technology. For one, what about a development in animation and even TV shows? For some reason I feel like live TV wouldn't be a thing in present-day Equestria (whether because it's still being worked on or...Sunset wants to settle on live radio news broadcasts). Secondly, it'd be nice for there to be a communication device similar to a telephone, but not the complex cellphones/smartphones that humans have. That's an idea being smoothed out!

But one thing's for certain. The human's expansive "world wide web" does not exist in Equestria. Sure, computers - including desktop computers - exist. They're helpful with creating and storing documents and files, digital art, reading discs for computer games, etc. Buuut...Sunset has a new mantra, thanks to her past regrets. ”Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should”

4. I'm sorry if this came up before, but if Dream's parents were both Earth ponies, where did her unicorn traits come from?

It hasn't! I believe one of Dreamaria's grandparents on her father's side is a unicorn! I have a feeling her father grew apart from his own parents for one reason or another, hence why the thought of going to them for unicorn-advice wasn't an option he considered. Dream has no connections to them.

5. Your characters are beautifully made, but I wonder: Are your characters’ personality and background based on your life, people around you, or both? Or is it just to discover topics through fictional characters?

Thank you so much! And ah geez, this is going to be a long one, I apologize ahead of time. <xD There are a good chunk of characters in Destinyverse that I've handed aspects of my own experiences to. These characters would be Eventide Twister, Monochrome, Dreamaria Flow, Skychaser, and Summer Rush.

Dream, Sky, and Summer have the most subtle connections, don't worry! It ties into the aggressive behavior they've faced in their lives, but to keep it from getting too personal, I'll end that thought there. <:3

Monochrome only has one aspect in particular that I gave them because it's something I struggle with and needed to give form. The chapter "Gallery of Infamy" alone embodies it: a desire to share the things that are important to you with others, especially those that matter most. But when you can't, you're often left with a sense of loneliness. Being able to explore that feeling through Monochrome was pretty freeing. ;w;/

Then there's Eventide Twister, who in all honesty embodies the most aspects in her own way. Specifically, her struggle with anxiety and her plotline with Heather. That's something I don't mind sharing: My ex-friend wasn't Heather. In fact, I've shaped Heather in a way that's made her completely different from the friend I knew. But she was my best friend for many years, whose toxic behavior shaped my anxiety into what it still is today. The chapter "Honesty", while the event that forever damaged me and my friendship didn't play out quite like that, holds heavy references to that event and embodies the emotions I was left with that day. Emotions I had to struggle with for years. But I've gotten better with my anxiety and can function better than I could years ago. I continue to handle my anxiety the best that I can! And everything I've ever learned from my experience, I'm handing over to Eventide. Because even when you're left damaged, without a single bit of closure in sight, you can still heal. You can still overcome your hurdles and build yourself up again. That's what Eventide's character arc is about. And I look forward to sharing what I have planned for her. <X3

There's something almost therapeutic about expressing these internalized experiences and feelings through a medium like this. It gives those things form and provides a way of reaching out and communicating them to others! It's incredible how much reception Eventide's arc received, and seeing others be able to connect and relate to her and share their own personal stories is something I find so, so meaningful. I can only ever hope that being able to see these characters have similar experiences or struggles helps people feel heard or a little less alone...! _______________________________________________________

6. What ships in your NG are endgame? Like, which ones are gonna be official? Like Skychaser and Evergreen

While I can't give a direct answer to that, this question allows me to provide a bit of insight, since I'm sure others have wondered this too!

The reason EverSky is so openly canon is because 1. Skychaser, before he was fully developed, was originally created specifically to be Evergreen's boyfriend. xDD Not that he wasn't going to have more to him, but! That's what motivated me to make him! Now he's developed a solid story role! And 2. I drew tons of EverSky before I even started working on Destinyverse, sO, it's out there in the open. xD

For the other endgame ships? I want to avoid outright confirming certain ships for reasons, and then there are others who I'm just not 100% certain with yet (like the idea of Summer Rush and Jonagold!). Just know that while certain things may be perceived as either romantic or platonic (platonic physical affection after all!!), I'm also...not the most subtle when it comes to hinting or enjoying my own ships. <xDD That's your clue! But I have at least established that ChromeTwister isn't endgame, and I confirmed that because hellevenIenjoyit but I don't want people getting upset thinking that's being set up when it's actually not and Monochrome's crush is a thing of the past. ;w; Feel free to ship what you want though!! As long as it's harmless and everyone's respectful of one another's ships (as well as the canon ships), it's all good. <xD _______________________________________________________

7. When we will see Evergreen past arc?

AH, surprised someone's asking for Evergreen! He indeed has his own past arc, and well...I want to say he'll most likely be the last character to get his revealed, BUT it also completely depends on which arcs I feel like working on as time passes. <xD I already feel like I'm jumping around and unable to settle on one character. But admittedly some things still need to be sorted out for Ever's, so! We'll see! _______________________________________________________

8. I've got a question/story idea for you. Are enchanted comics that pull you into the story an established form of entertainment in your world or was that one spike got one of a kind?

I had to look back at the episode in question, but it turns out Spike got that comic from a shop called "The House of Enchanted Comics", so apparently there are multiple! I'm sure that it's somepony's unique talent, since I imagine that kind of spell would be a rather complex one for just any unicorn to perform (and it's a rather specific creative approach)! And because it's unique, I don't think it's a form of entertainment everywhere! Since Spike's comic disappeared at the very end of the episode, I almost think these enchanted comics only have a single copy that can be borrowed before they teleport back to its creator! So there's just one very specific shop in Canterlot that provides such magical comics. c: Hope that creator has their form of comic-enchantment trademarked. u m u

9. On a related note, do you think Nova would ever invent a game console that magically sucks it's players in, either intentionally or accidentally? Given that he's Twilight's son I wouldn't be surprised if he could.

HAH, the thought never occurred to me, but hey! He probably could. uwu As a whole new generation of gaming~ Though it'd have to be intentional and consensual. xD And it'd be way down the line! His present goal is to just create immersive story-driven games. _______________________________________________________

10. This may be considered a spoiler but I still gotta ask- Are Pinkie and Sugarsocks gonna have any kids in ur storyline or are they just a little side idea?

For some reason my mind tells me that those two don't feel a need to have any kiddos! >:0 They're just livin the best life with their business and parties~ Caramello from the Cake family is kind of the closest thing they have to a kiddo they can love and spoil. uwu

YOU HECKIN BET YOU WILL, THERE'S S O MUCH I STILL GOTTA DRAW xD I haven't even introduced their future daughter yet. I'll end up drawing stuff about her eventually. ;w; And I personally call their ship EverSky! Makes me think of a beautiful endless expanse of sky.

12. Also, what was the first nextgen you came up with an idea for, or what triggered you to start developing a nextgen story on Deviantart? I'm curious owo

I was inspired by Lopoddity's next gen artwork!! I was particularly enamored by her royal next gens and basically went "I...want to design...a kiddo for Luna", AND BOOM, WE GOT PRINCE AMADEUS, my first next gen! Princess Lumina followed after. c: From there I already had Dream Flow and Eventide Twister as characters (Eve was an undeveloped OC at the time), my friend had her character Star Chime, and the existence of my royal next gens started forming a story! A cover (now taken down unfortunately) of the song "Ballad of the Crystal Empire" kick-started ideas for an arc of the present-day story. And as more characters joined the cast, my brain exploded with ideas from there. <xD The realization that I could present this story via illustrated stories and art dumps was the final push I needed to start working on it!

Nope! In reality I don't actually keep up with a lot of celebs and media figures. <xD Aside from youtubers maybe, but still.

14. What do you, Mia, personally like music-wise? What are a few of your favorite bands?

I always have a hard time naming genres because I kind of just like whatever songs sound good to me. <xDD But I think a common pattern is that I really enjoy emotionally-charged songs. Probably why I tend to enjoy songs from musicals (Dear Evan Hansen is perfection, fight me)! I also like things with a good beat, piano, strings, and a combination of all those things is mMMMMgoodshit.

For some bands! And singers! I enjoy Halsey, Panic! At The Disco, PVRIS, Rachel Platten, Paramore, and Marianas Trench!

15. Were you nervous about sharing you Pony next gen stuff?

Nah! I was already posting art and stories for other fandoms in the past, so posting for a new fandom wasn't bad! But most of all, I had a powerful desire to get out of my own way and get my stories out there. I have a hard time communicating my thoughts and ideas with people - or finding a place where I can do that - and it was wearing me down, internalizing my own ideas and passions. SO, sharing my stories became my way of communicating these thoughts and feelings and connecting with others!

16. Out of all your ships, which is your favorite? Parents of next gen/next gen or otherwise!

For canon characters; TwiTempest is my absolute jam. They're so freaking cute; perfectionistic and panicky princess and her cool-headed and secretly soft guard captain. HM. Runner up would be DaringDash. I never actually shipped them until after I paired them together to create Monochrome. Only then did I realize how cute of a couple they could make. Stubborn, blushy fools.

For my next gens: EverSky was my everything for the longest time, but then came another ship. I won't name the ship, partially because of my whole "no confirming" thing, but also because it's a ship that I don't think anyone will be able to fully appreciate or understand until you see it unfold for yourselves. ;w; It'll become obvious with time~

17. What advice you'd give someone who wants to share their own fun pony stories/ideas themselves?

WELL! SCREW CRINGE CULTURE FOR ONE. As long as you're not copying or using harmful ideas, HAVE FUN AND BE INSPIRED!! Your ideas deserve to be out there! Not receiving much attention at first can admittedly be disheartening, but please don't give up! Keep believing in your passion, keep expressing it and having fun, and people in time will be able to see and appreciate those things! Also remember that it's okay to retcon if you end up finding ideas that work better. c: And one of the best things is that there's no pressure in posting stories 100% in order. You could jump around from character to character, from present day to the past to an event in the future, etc. In the end, just make sure you're having fun. ;w;/

Also, always have something with you to record new ideas! Your phone, a google doc, a notepad, whatever you need to jot ideas down new ideas as they come! From experience, you might think "oh this is an interesting idea, I can remember it for later". NO. DON'T TRUST THAT MY DUDE. YOU WILL LIKELY FORGET AND THEN HAVE REGRETS AS YOU TRY TO CALL FORTH THAT ONE SCENE CONCEPT OR THAT PERFECT LINE OF DIALOGUE but can't. So just be safe and jot down every idea you like, even if you end up tossing it out in the end. ;w;

ANYWAY! It all starts with you, so please, make that move and share your work~ Who knows who you'll end up reaching with your stories!

19. Regarding Dream, has she ever met any other unicorn with the same kind of magic as her? Would she like to? And if so, would she be happy to meet them?

She hasn't! Then again, other than the few times Uncle Serein would take her out of town for an outing or for visits to her grandparents, Dream didn't get out of her town much. Not until she moved to Ponyville! Whether she'd like to meet a similar unicorn is a little MMM complicated. I think meeting another pony with her abilities would at least be a good opportunity to see if she understands the full extent and workings of her magic. >:0 _______________________________________________________

ANONS! 20. Since the last ask reminded me of your mystery dungeon kids: if Eventide, Skychaser, and Dream were a mystery dungeon team, which Pokemon would each of them be and what kind of roles would they take? (tank, ranged, etc)

Dream Flow would be a shiny Ralts (emotion-abilities and psychic-type after all!) She'd be a ranged battler and healer!

Skychaser would be a Dartrix (no reason other than flying type + the hairstyle, and the hood for Decidueye. Besides, grass type boi would work well with grass type - possibly Roserade - Evergreen Glade~) And Sky would be a mixed fighter! Also have...have you guys looked up birds in hoodies. Please do.

Evie would be an Eevee~ Not only cause name play, but! Eventide's a char of possibilities. Darling's gotta find herself. ;w; While a reluctant fighter, if it means aiding her friends, Eve will do her best to fulfil her role as a close-ranged fighter (with Skychaser staying close to help out when needed). She'd also carry a wing-shaped backpack for the team's items! Evolution-wise? Even with no flying type Eeveelution, I think the most perfect evolution for her would have to be Sylveon~ You can piece together why. <X3 _______________________________________________________

21. Which characters were fun to develop and had the toughest backstory to plan?

Fun to develop? Oh Nova Spark all the way. A character who was originally created for fun and to serve the role of Prince Amadeus's best friend has developed into such a major character and I love him. It's probably why he has the longest past arc out of anyone, and also why I'm really excited to work on it BUT WELL I'm worried about leaving everyone else on the backburner. <xD

Hardest backstory to plan? Dream Flow. I've been developing her for over four years now and I'm still trying to sort her out. Heck I was figuring certain things out for her AS I was writing "Impasse". BUT HEY, I think I've settled on a good amount of Dream's story now! I'm sure I'll be editing some things as I go, but I've got a basic idea for what I want! _______________________________________________________

22. You've shown off kids for a lot of the MLP main cast, and they're all great! But one I've never seen mentioned and it has me curious. Does Starlight Glimmer have any kids? Will they be showing up even as a cameo/background pony?

Thanks! So this answer applies to all next gens, but for me to make a next gen, I need either 1. A ship I'm genuinely interested in! or 2. A character concept I want to design, thus I'll figure out parents that could fit the concept best. Examples would be Nova Spark (TwiTempest) and Beat Mania (VinylOctavia) for #1, and Monochrome and Skychaser for #2.

While a Starlight kid sounds nice, I just don't have a Starlight ship that's won me over. <xD Nor do I have any interesting char concepts I could use for a Starlight kid idea; BUT, the thing about that is that I'm not actively trying to create new character concepts. You see, I seem to have a hard time creating background next gen ponies because my mind likes to go off with ideas for almost every character I create. And with the amount of characters I already have, I really don't think I can balance any more characters in the cast without feeling a need to have them play a role in a main plot or another character's plot. And things are complicated as they are. <xDD SO you won't be seeing any new next gen designs unless I find a new MLP ship I REALLY like, or I think up an idea I really want to pursue! ;w;/ _______________________________________________________

23. Do any of the Destinyverse characters have friends that aren't ponies? Some of them did go to the school of friendship after all. Will we ever see them or have them mentioned?

Yep~! But see, those who have attended Friendship Elementary/the School of Friendship (Nova Spark, Eventide Twister, Astral Dusk and Monochrome) ironically are also the characters who have problems with friendship. <xD So none of them have non-pony friends presently.

As for those who do! Evergreen Glade actually has a Kirin friend who is very important to him. You'll meet him in Evergreen's past arc!

Summer Rush is very personable and probably has made friends with both ponies and non-ponies. ;w; None of them have been planned past being minor background characters, though. Maybe they'll have brief mentions! We'll see!

Princess Lumina has made friends with tons of royals/chiefs from other species! Comes with visiting or receiving visits from representatives/leaders/heirs of the other kingdoms within or outside of Equestria!

And finally Terra Rosa....may or may not have a friend who's not 100% human. Without realizing it. _______________________________________________________

24. They all seem to be around the same age, but who's the oldest/youngest of the Destinyverse crew?/How old is everyone supposed to be in Destinyverse?

Keep in mind these are approximate ages, from oldest to youngest! Princess Lumina is the oldest at 27. Then comes (big bro) Skychaser at 26. Summer Rush, Astral Dusk, and Prince Amadeus are around 23. Monochrome (and maybe Evergreen Glade) is 22. Eventide Twister, Nova Spark, and Dream Flow are around 20. And finally, Venture Gale is the youngest at about 14! _______________________________________________________

25. Will we ever be seeing more of Lumina or Amadeus? Will they have a part in this story?

Certainly! The only reason we haven't seen much of them is because we haven't explored the right characters that are connected to them! c: Which would be Prince Nova Spark and Star Chime (again, a friend's character!)! _______________________________________________________

26. Does Venture Gale read his mom's books? How does he react to them if so? Excited, embarrassed, or something else?

Absolutely~! He's a HUGE fan of his own mom's books! He gets so engrossed reading them, getting to re-experience his adventures in such an awesome light. It's exciting seeing himself as a character! Though he does get embarrassed when his mom adds extra narrative commentary, such as writing that Valor Wind is a fast-thinker, intelligent mind, a brave and honest soul, etc. His embarrassment is also fed by people who are die-hard fans of his character (Not that anyone knows he's Valor Wind or that the stories are real. Astral Dusk. It never occured to me until I read this question, but regret is a leading theme in present-day Astral's character conflict. _______________________________________________________

28. Who is your least to most fav character to draw in Destinyverse? Why?

Favorite character to draw? Nova Spark I think! I love coloring his gradient hair. Much simpler than hair streaks, and it's very pretty <xDD From there, everyone else so far has been on pretty neutral ground.

Now when I say "least favorite", in this case I mean the char that gives me the hardest time. And that'd be Skychaser, only because of his dang hair. <xD Getting the right curls and shape is WEIRDLY hard, but hey that's the price to pay for luscious hair. _______________________________________________________

29. What's Nova and Monochrome's relationship like?

Hehe~ It's a healthy one, built on trust and a sense of understanding they don't really share with anyone else in their lives. They often find themselves on the same wavelength and constantly have one another's back. If I can choose one word that embodies their relationship, I would choose...loyalty.

Uplifting- CaeJose Dancer!AU

Summary: Joseph, a transgender dmab girl, is the best dancer in her troupe and assists with teaching her mother’s class. Being larger than most girls, though, not many people are too keen on being her partner for certain lessons- namely, lifting. That is, until a new blond haired student waltzes into her life...

Notes: So, after reading this post by @freckledbastard the idea for a CaeJose Dancer!AU got stuck in my head and I ended up writing out the whole thing instead of sleeping tonight! My brain is now mush ~_~ Anyway, enjoy!

Also: The song I envisioned Joseph and Caesar’s dance to was an extended version of the song “Dance of Swords” from Steven Universe, you can easily look it up by typing the song name into Google- go check it out sometime, it’s lovely :)

Joseph sighed while looking out over the various new students of her mother’s dance class. There were certainly a lot of promising new faces, many of them already possessing limber and strong bodies that would look amazing through the art of properly choreographed dance. The best of the bunch, like Joseph, would be invited to join the Hamon Troupe- the country’s premiere dance group that always guaranteed sold out shows wherever they performed.

While waiting for the instructor, Lady Lisa Lisa, Joseph over heard the usual gossip that tended to transpire between new students and the veterans of the class that had yet to be scouted for the troupe.

Unfortunately, though, as always, it was gossip about Joseph.

“Hey, so, who’s the big guy in the pink tights?”

“Shh! Don’t call him a guy out loud or you’ll get kicked out!”

“What? Why? Who is that?”

“That’s Lady Lisa Lisa’s kid- Joseph Joestar. He’s been a member of the Hamon Troupe since he was, like, sixteen or something.”

“Seriously?! Wow, he must be REALLY good!”

“Yeah, he is. Kind of weird, though…”

“Huh? Whattaya mean?”

“I mean, well, look at how he’s dressed, for starters.”

“Yeah, I was wondering about that- why’s he a wearing a girl’s uniform?”

“Eh, some weird artistic thing, I guess. Says he’s a girl and gets really mad if you call him a guy to his face.”

“Ha! Seriously?! The dude’s built like a body builder and says he’s a girl?”

“Yeah, yeah, we all know- but keep your voice down! He’s really sensitive about it and if you upset him then his mom’ll kick you out of the class.”

“Damn, what a freak…”

Joseph took a deep breath in slowly through her nose, then exhaled it through her mouth, masking the breathing exercise as part of her warm-up routine as she stretched her leg over the balance bars. She stayed close to the radio and pretended not to hear a word they said. They were idiots, anyway, she shouldn’t take what they said to heart.

Still…

Joseph took her leg back off the bar as she finished her warm-ups and looked at herself in the mirrors spread around the room: She was large and muscular, but that was simply how her body retained muscle after years of her mother’s intense training. She also kept her hair styled short and a bit messy, but that was simply how she liked it- it was easier to pin it back if she didn’t let it get too long. She wore make-up occasionally, though today wasn’t one of those days, but she was an all-or-nothing person and either went without the make-up or went over the top with full on paint and glitter until it was stage make-up level. She knew her outfit- the standard women’s class uniform of a black leotard, pale pink tights, sheer black mid-thigh length cover skirtlet, and black dance slippers- was a bit tight on her muscular form, but that’s because it was hard to find women’s clothes for someone as tall and big as she was.

Even so, none of that made her a freak, by any means. Her family accepted her, and she accepted herself, that’s all that mattered. The others were just fools intimated by her beauty and talent.

“If you all have the energy to talk, then I’ll assume that means you’re finished warming up.” The sharp voice of her mother cut through the studio like a knife and everyone jumped to attention, Joseph chuckling to herself at how nervous the new ones were. Walking to join her at the front of the studio by the radio, Lisa Lisa gestured for Joseph to turn off the music. After it was done, Joseph stood proudly beside her mother, feeling like a drill instructor surveying new soldiers. “Let me start by congratulating all of you for making it this far- merely getting into this class is quite an accomplishment. However, do not take that to mean your life will get any easier. From here on out, you will receive the most grueling training of your lives. You will eat, breathe, sleep, and bleed dance by the time I am done with you! Then, if any of you show significant promise, you MAY have the chance to join the Hamon Troupe.” She adjusted her sunglasses, looking over the students with a sternness that made the weaker ones quiver in fear. “However, don’t get your hopes up: The senior students here will quickly tell you that they have been here for years perfecting their craft and still have yet to reach the standard I hold my troupe members to.” With an elegant wave of her hand, she gestured to Joseph beside her. “This is my child, Joseph Joestar. Jojo has received personal training from me since childhood and is the standard to which the rest of you will be held to: If you do not demonstrate even half the talent Jojo has, then you won’t even be CONSIDERED for the Hamon Troupe.”

Joseph smirked at the nervous and uncomfortable faces staring at her. “That’s right, and I’m essentially the best dancer you’ll ever see, so don’t get your hopes up too high!”

“Now then, let’s get started on your first lesson!” Lisa Lisa clapped her hands together and began class, everyone hurrying to their starting points.

As Joseph set up the music for the lesson, she thought she felt someone looking at her. When she turned to look, though, everyone was already mirroring her mother’s movements.

She decided to brush it off as more people staring at her and being jealous of how amazing she was.

After the first couple weeks of lessons, they were starting to weed out the weaker links among the new students. A few had already quit and several more looked close to it by now. Others, though, were showing promise and might stick around.

The ones that had stayed were now being treated to a special lesson: The male members of the Hamon Troupe were visiting the class today to assist with the one lesson that Joseph and her mother would need help to teach properly: Lifting.

Joseph both loved and hated lift day. On one hand, lifting always looked like so much fun, the way the other girls twirled and arched in the air was dazzling. On the other hand, however, it always left her feeling depressed because of one sad, constant fact:

No one ever lifted Joseph.

With her size and weight, it was something that she had simply grown to accept over the years. Every other dancer in her classes and in the troupe would take one look at her and offer up a nervous smile and a shake of their heads when it came time to choose partners.

Today was no different, sadly.

After the troupe members had demonstrated the basics of lifting to the new students and her mother showed them the basic choreography they would use for today’s training, everyone was instructed to go find a partner. As with every other time this occurred, Joseph had resignedly found a spot to lean against one of the bars as the boys in the class hurried to pair up with the smaller, cuter girls, no one even sparing her a glance or asking her if she wanted to dance-

“Pardon me for intruding, signora, but are you not going to participate in the lesson today?”

Joseph was surprised by the smooth, accented voice suddenly speaking to her. She looked up from the spot on the floor she’d been staring at and saw one of the new students leaning on the bar beside her with an expectant look.

She hadn’t fully memorized all of the new students’ names yet, but she remembered this one standing out as one of the better dancers. He was also one of the more handsome ones, if she was being honest: He had bright blond hair, fascinating purple marks on his cheeks that were either birthmarks or tattoos, eyes that sparkled like twin emeralds, and a charming smile that could make any woman’s knees weak. He was pretty tall, too- only a couple inches shorter than Joseph herself, and quite muscular, though, again, not as much as Joseph.

Joseph also noticed him in the crowds because of how he liked to add accents to his uniform in the form of a purple and orange headband that trailed behind him as he moved and the feathered pins in his hair that fluttered whenever he turned. She could certainly appreciate his sense of style, as she too personalized her outfits by usually wearing her favorite green and yellow striped scarf around the studio and pinning various flowers to her hair (today’s flower was a pink rose with a silver clip).

She realized she’d been staring too long and looked back out at the dance floor where the students and troupe members were taking turns in the center showing off their mastery of the choreography. “Oh..yeah..uh, no, I don’t really get to participate on days like this.”

“Why is that? You’re the best dancer here, are you not?” The blond student asked with a curious tilt of his head.

“Tch, well, duh, of course I am!” She replied quickly, crossing her arms over her chest proudly. Her pride deflated a bit, though, as she watched one of the new girls being lifted into the air as if she weighed nothing, an excited smile on her face. “But..lifting’s not exactly something I can do by myself..”

“Then why not ask someone to do it for you?” He sounded almost concerned by this point.

She sighed and closed her eyes, a pout on her face. “It doesn’t do any good. No one can lift me- I’m too big.” She opened her eyes again and was surprised to see the man looking at her with a displeased expression. “What’s with the look?”

“No one can lift you? Really? Not even the members of your troupe? Have they ever TRIED?” He asked her, looking somehow insulted even though the situation had nothing to do with him.

“Er, well, no, not really. I’ve asked before, but most guys just say they can’t and- Hey! What are you-?!” She was startled when the blonde student suddenly grabbed her by the hand and led her out to the center of the dance floor. He even went so far as to harshly shove one of the troupe members who was about to take a turn out of his way. “Wait, why are we-?”

“You know the choreography, si?” He asked as he took his place across from her on the floor, getting into the starting position for the lesson’s dance.

Joseph hesitantly got into her starting position as well. “Well, yeah, of course I do, but-”

“Then dance with me.” He said firmly as the song looped back around to the beginning, leaving no room or time for argument on Joseph’s part.

“Don’t tell me what to do.” She said with a huff but began to dance anyway.

The movements for the dance were simple, a way for the students to get used to each other’s tempo and movement so they could synch up well enough for the female partners to be lifted properly. The smooth twirls and measured steps were a bit boring for someone as skilled as Joseph, but she followed the choreography flawlessly. The man, whatever his name was, performed the movements with just as much ease as they slowly drew closer to one another.

When they finally reached each other, Joseph did the appropriate spin that landed her in her dance partner’s arms. Closing her eyes, Joseph prepared for the imminent hesitation or realization of how heavy she actually was to kick in so the dance would come to an abrupt end.

She was instead surprised to feel strong hands gliding smoothly over her leotard and tights so that one was braced on the back of her thigh and the other on her back. Those hands then began to effortlessly hold her weight and allow her to rise up.

“?!” Joseph opened her eyes and realized with shock what was happening as she saw everything around her shift: She was being lifted off of the ground.

Surprised gasps and murmurs filled the room at the sight of Joseph being lifted up upside down over her partner’s head. By pure instinct and her own natural dancing prowess, Joseph remembered the right way to tense her body into a graceful arch above the man below her. She held the pose effortlessly, despite it being her first time.

When she expected to be set down at the end of the dance, though, she was surprised once again by the blonde man when he lowered her back do the ground gracefully, but continued dancing with her. The song was technically about two and a half minutes long, though they’d only been taught enough choreography to cover about thirty seconds of it. Despite this, her partner seemed content to keep going and, in all honesty, Joseph was feeling too giddy to stop herself either.

They moved together flawlessly: Every brush of their hands was coordinated in perfect synch. No step was misjudged between them. Each spin they did while joined together caused Joseph’s long scarf and the twin trails of the blonde’s headband to billow around them like ribbons. The man even picked Joseph up on a few of the spins so that she could feel the wind rushing through her hair like never before.

It was all so incredible, an entirely new experience for Joseph. Sure, she’d danced with several skilled dancers over the years, but none of them had this level of strength- this PASSION behind their movements like this stranger did. Even though this was their first dance, they moved as if their very souls had been dancing together since the dawn of time. She honestly wished the song would go on forever, leaving just the two of them dancing in their own little world.

Alas, all good things come to an end eventually. The end came when the song reached its final crescendo, Joseph’s partner lifting her in the air one last time at the peak of the music before lowering her seamlessly into a dip. The way he smiled down at her made her heart skip a beat and her cheeks flush- no partner had ever looked at her like that, let alone managed to dip her without looking strained.

At the end of the song, he carefully lifted Joseph back up into a standing position. Instead of letting her go, though, he kept his hand planted firmly on her back, holding her close against him. While holding her almost protectively, he raised his other hand and pointed at the men- both the students as well as the troupe members- with that same displeased, almost angry, expression he had earlier before the dance.

“Cowards!” He yelled at them harshly, his finger pointing in an accusing, sweeping gesture at the various male dancers. “Cowards and weaklings, the lot of you! How dare you leave such a bella fanciulla on her own!” He shook his head disapprovingly. “It’s absolutely shameful to consider yourselves skilled if you’re too scared to even try dancing with someone of such high caliber.”

‘Wow..’ Joseph thought to herself, a slight blush blooming across her cheeks. ‘He seems really offended about that. It’s..kind of sweet, actually…’

He looked back up at her, a charming smile returning to his face once again. “My apologies, signora- I nearly forgot to thank you for that wonderful dance.” He took her hand in his own and placed a kiss to the back of it like a classic gentleman from an old movie. “Grazie, mia bella dea.”

Joseph’s face flushed a little more, certainly not used to such treatment- let alone from such a handsome guy. “Uh..Uh huh..” Her heart was hammering in her chest and her hand tingled where his lips had touched her skin.

He gently caressed the back of her hand with his thumb as he spoke. “My name is Caesar A. Zeppeli. It is an honor to finally meet you formally, signora Joestar.”

“C-Call me Jojo..please..” She found herself speaking even though her mind felt like a pile of mush.

“Jojo.” The way he said her name should be illegal with how sexy he made it sound. He placed one last kiss to her hand before letting it go. “I shall look forward to our next dance, mia bellissima angelo.”

“Yeah..” Joseph blushed as she watched him walk back into the crowd of dancers, holding her hand to her chest and feeling her thrumming heart beat beneath it. “Me too..”

It was the first time she had been lifted by a partner, and, she realized, the first time she’d ever looked forward to a second dance with one as well.

Cutie Reviews: Kawaii Box Jan 20

Word of the month: Kira Kira - Sparkling

Steamy Cheesecake Koala’s March

These are a limited edition Koala’s March, featuring a fun winter design and yummy, cheesecake-flavored chocolate.

Koala’s March are crispy and creamy, and usually I really like them. But these were a small disappointment; they taste good, but I get a really strong buttery, faint cheesy lemon taste. The Koala pictures don’t have anything to do with winter either.

Pastel Popsicle Highlighter Set

For important works or just fun, who wouldn’t want some cute highlighters like these? They’re unscented and come in a rainbow of colors, pretty small and generic (and doesn’t it seem weird to have a popsicle theme in winter?), but they’re pretty cute. They all worked fine.

Fluffy Pastel Purse

I keep looking at this and thinking “it look’s like a poodle“. Our next item is an exclusive to Blippo/Kawaii Box purse, made from a very soft, fluffy pastel rainbow fabric with a matching pom-pom and a Kawaii Box rainbow sewn on front. The zipper is pastel pink and easily opens, and on top are a pair of gold clasps to fasten the purse to various items.

Sumikko Gurashi Gum & Sticker Set

We’ve seen a few of these before, this is a pretty common “character candy“ item you can find in Japan. These include a piece of flattened, square-shaped gum, along with a folding stand card and sheet of stickers. The gum in this set is Ramune/Soda flavored, which is also very common. It’s tasty but it only lasts for a minute, but this is a pretty cheap candy to begin with.

Bonus Kawaii Gift

Each box usually includes one, and for this month we got this cute change purse.

I think I might have this, or one very similar to it from a past box. It’s very familiar to me. Anyway it’s really nice quality, featuring the same gold clasps as the other purse. The zipper is very smooth to pull.

Sumikko Gurashi Notepad & San-X Sticker Flakes

As frequently as we get these, I like getting new notepads. It gives me a chance to change it up, or pull out what would go with whatever situation I may need it in- like grocery shopping, note taking, doodling, etc. It includes a sheet of stickers and 4 different sets of pages, one of which is horizontal. The spine/binding is a lovely white holo.

To go with our Sumikko notepad, we also got some stickers/flakes. These are fun packs because you get so many variations, and each one has multiples. So if you’re really attached to a certain sticker you can use it a couple of times, or even trade with a friend if they have a different pack!

This specific set features a delicious fruity design with gold accents.

Ice Cream Bunny Pen & Kawaii Sweet Pastel Lanyard

I probably say this with every box, but I always look forward to our next new pen x3 they’re so much fun, and very kawaii~

This is a basic black ink fine-tipped pen with an ice cream scoop shape, topped with an adorable bunny! There’s no where to put the cap (other than cramming it on the bunny ears, which doesn’t look pleasant for the poor bunny DX) which always annoys me, but it’s such a minor detail.

Rock Paper Scissors Game

How cute is this?! :D I love little games and gadgets like this that you can bring around with you. For as simple or basic as they are, when you’re sitting around with nothing to do or in the car, they can be pretty entertaining.

You can play this with a friend or on your own, and basically you push in the button after you make a gesture. The center piece will spin to reveal a symbol: Rock, Paper, Scissors, or the special Invincible hand.

Content - 4.5 out of 5. Compared to last months box, I thought this one was a lot better, in terms of new or interesting items anyway. I’m still feeling kind of bored with this one, but everything worked fine, has good quality, and is really cute.

Theme - 0.5 out of 5. I’m not really sure what you could do with a New Years theme, other than some like... decorative items maybe? Plus, for Kira Kira I kinda expect to see sparkles, glittery things, shinies! I think this is the only time i ever gave a 0 on any sort of rating scale yet...

Total Rank: 7 out of 10 Cuties. After the previous box I didn’t really have a specific expectation or anything, but I felt like this one was better/more original in comparison. I like the items, but it’s still not my favorite one.

Cutie Reviews: NMNL March 19

Okay, I wanted to let you guys know that I’m probably going to be moving. Long story short our land owner gave us an ultimatum we don’t agree with, and we only have this month to find places, check them out, pick one, pack, and get moved. We might be able to extend this to September, but we’re not sure. A month seems like a long time but not when you can only work on it a few days of the week.

I was devastated when I was told this back on Friday, I felt really sad and angry over the whole thing. But at the same time there is actually a whole, HUGE list of positives in this move; like a bigger home, an actual porch and backyard, I can modify my room to fit the current me instead of the me that moved in almost 20 years ago, we’ll finally go through things we’ve been putting off, central cooling~

Basically, I just wanted to keep you guys updated so if my activity slows down you know why.

“Tired of the cold? Don’t worry, spring is on its way! Everything is coming to life: flowers start blooming and colors around us are becoming more vibrant. That’s why in March’s box we’ve included Japanese and Korean beauty products that are also giving off vibrant vibes so that you can create colorful and fun spring looks!“

Contest Prizes

This month, the winners would get Cherry Blossom cleansing oil, and 5 hyaluronic acid face masks.

Glam Gift

This month the glam gift seems to be focusing on pretty pastel colored items for the face. The two featured brands are Missha and Nihonshu.

Meanwhile, this months horoscope is a Must-Try Activity. For example, mine (Libra) suggests a new recipe to work on cooking skills, my friend is a Gemini and it suggests she take friends on a picnic. The featured celebrity is JooE from kpop group Momoland, who is also the face of the makeup brand Baker7.

Hair Curler Set & Mineral Ion Hairbrush

First we have this unique set of hair curlers (you get 4 of both pieces), that bind the hair over night to produce lovely waves without the use of a hot curling wand. Depending on how you use them, you might also produce curls instead... which happened to me because I didn’t realize I was putting my hair into it wrongly. The book gives you no instructions, and the back of the packaging just made it look like gibberish to me. You’re supposed to like... flatten/spread out the hair, if you just wrap it around you get curls.

So curls or waves, I’ve used this twice and as a warning, this probably wouldn’t be a good item if you get headaches easily. I got one both times of use. Once I wore them over night (9 hours give or take), the second time about a few hours, and I actually got the same results: curls that hold for a limited amount of time and still look kind of messy.

But to be fair, you do get a result. If you want it to last then you'll need spray or something to hold it.

Our next item is this mineral infused mini-brush to repair and nourish the hair by stimulating the blood flow. If used repeatedly each day, there should be a noticeable improvement with split ends. The brush was available in pink or blue.

As a brush, I use types like this (my current is a really old bamboo brush that I was obsessed with and need a new one of) because any other type hurts me. Initially I thought it’s smaller size would make it difficult, and it did feel a little weird holding but the more I use it, the more natural it feels. I also feel like there has been some difference in my hair since using it a few days ago, so I think it works.

Cake Hand Cream

Our next item is a Baker7 Cake Hand Cream, which was available in Pink Berry, Banana, and Blueberry. The creams are made with ingredients that brighten, prevent aging, and protect the skin.

Out of the 3 I could have got, I’m sure you can tell I got the one I really wanted x3 it has a really pretty pale pink color, and it has a faint strawberry scent, it kind of reminds me of strawberry chocolate; and a very light hint of banana.

Well besides the adorable packaging, scent, color, it’s pretty much a typical hand cream. My hands feel really soft and nice after using it, and it seems to soak into the skin pretty quick so your hands don’t get greasy.

Candy Lip Tint

Another BK7 product, this time with JooE on the package as you can see. This lip tint comes in 3 delicious candy colors; from cherry red to red orange to coral. They’re also scented.

I think the creative design of the package was adorable, but after you take away the stick you’re left with the top half; so I was like “how does this open? Is it just liquid? is it on something?“

Well here’s my answer; it’s a wand. According to the back of the package I got Cherry Red. I agree there is a scent, but it doesn’t bring cherry to mind. Initially I was getting like... cinnamon? But now I can’t really place it.

Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I really like the unique packaging of the product. It’s really cute looking and fun to use, and the wands brush is very soft on the lips so the product glides on with little effort. It does tint though, so yeah it did take me like five washes to get it off my hand, and even now it’s still barely on my hand. On the lips it seems to come off easier, but you’re left with a pretty pink hue.

One oddity is that I noticed that when applied, my lips feel weird. I’m not really sure why that is. I did notice it lacked a foul taste though, which I appreciated. A lot of tints and “lip tattoo” products taste horrible.

Etude House Eye Shadow

Our next item is the Etude House “Look At My Eyes eye shadow“, available in red or pink with an adorable heart pattern in the product ♥ As you can see by my finger, the product is a bit of a... smoky copperish red color and has a vibrant shimmer with sparkle.

Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The product applies very easily, you can use it as is or build it up. I feel like the color would work with a lot of things, and I can’t get over how nice it looks. The hearts etched in the product is very cute, and I love how the container is clear.

Color Mascara

Our next item is this colored mascara, available in either red or blue (like delicious snowcones~) which as you can see is by Crayon Touch-me, like the lip product in February’s box. Ironically, this one says it’s made in Taiwan, rather than Korea or Japan.

As of late colored mascara seems to be growing as a trend, and I really like the concept but worry I can’t pull it off. But given my hair color, I feel like this would actually be a really nice color to compliment it.

The image on the package shows the product being applied all over the eyelashes, while the book suggests giving your lashes an ombre look with it. I’m not really sure a full lash is possible, because the product is fairly scarce on the wand (which the book also shows) and in most cases, applying too much mascara makes your lashes clumpy and gross. I noticed that I had an easier time applying the product with my eye shut and doing it in swooping down motion.

But if you don’t mind a medium-minimum look, then the gradient/ombre is pretty good, and you can tell the product is there. It’s definitely noticeable though, and I’m planning on using it when I go to the mall, either later today or tomorrow.

Facial Cleansing Brush & Animal Mask

Okay, so any long-time readers will recognize the facial brush. I recently got in some boxes back and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it if you can find it! It’s super-soft and feels amazing on the skin, and your face will thank you.

In saying that I won’t be reviewing it since I already have.

The next and final item though is an adorable animal mask by berissom: available in either collagen kitty/tiger, Vitamin C + arbutin sheep, blackberry panda, or hyaluronic acid puppy. These are called animal masks because they resemble a specific animal. All you do is wear it 15-20 minutes, then pat the remainder of product onto the skin.

In terms of scent, it smells really good in a pleasant sense. Oddly enough, I get a combination of the store Target and shampoo. It was very wet and moisturizing when I put it on but it ended up being a lot longer than my face actually is, so I probably wasted three minutes or so fiddling with it. Because of that (I assume anyway) the ask dried very quickly, so I barely wore it for even 15 minutes before it got on my nerves.

But my face did feel better than it did prior to using it.

Content - 4.5 out of 5. Everything is practical and I like the items a lot. I just think some of them could have performed a little better.

Theme: 5 out of 5. Yeah, I guess I see it. I mean, the items are very vibrant looking and fun, I’m not sure they all fit spring well but I do like how all of the items were in pink-red and blue themes, to match the cover design.

Total Rank: 9 out of 10. I’m pretty happy with this box, I liked it a little less than the previous box, but I still thought it was really good. As I noted above, there was some minor issues, but nothing was useless and I know I’ll use these.

♥ Cutie Scale ♥

1. Mineral Hairbrush - I was kind of surprised by this decision, but I actually really really like this. I’ll probably be using it for now, if I can force myself to throw away my old brush...

2. Eye Shadow - the color is really pretty and I love how the piece looks; the product reminds me a lot of my favorite eye shadow palette to use.

3. Cake Hand Cream - Again the packaging says a lot, I love it! It smells so good it makes me want to eat shortcake... or strawberry chocolate.

4. Candy Lip Tint - I’m still not sure about the scent, but the color is really pretty. I can’t get over the unique package~

5. Color Mascara - I really like how it looks, I just wish it was possible to get a fully coated eyelash without having to use so much product...

6. Animal Mask - The package is very cute, and the smell was lovely. But the quality wasn’t doing it for me.

7. Facial Cleansing Brush - I’m not rating it low because of quality, if I went by quality this would probably be the #1 item! I just put it here because I already have it, and because I really liked the other items too.

8. Hair Curlers - They’re very unique, and although they are a little uncomfortable and can induce headaches, they aren’t unbearable. I would probably reach for my curling wand over these though.

Cutie Reviews: Kawaii Box Feb 19

So it’s probably obvious by now... I didn’t get to put in an order with Japan Crates online website like I initially planned. I think what happened was that I became distracted by something else. At the very beginning of the month I put in an order for a set of scented oils for my room sprayer and it said it would come by the 5th.

I’m still waiting.

I have no idea what happened, and by the 9th they said “there’s a chance it might be lost, so you could get a refund”. But I decided to wait it out thinking it would show up, and I just found out yesterday that they JUST took out the money for it. Meaning I either paid for it twice (considering it shipped on the 3rd) or there’s something else going on.

Neko Travel Tag Charm

I’ve expressed my disdain for luggage/travel tags before, I have no need for them. But... I’ve decided to be more lenient about this one for numerous reasons; not only is it smaller than the other ones I’ve gotten before, but I also think it could be used for other purposes (like attaching to your belt, purse, straps, etc).

There are 4 styles, each in its own color with a cute, simple kitty drawing on the front, each costing $2.03. But I also saw some others on Blippo.com in a similar style if cats aren’t your thing.

Like I said, I’m not a fan of getting luggage tags and the like because they serve no purpose for me. I can’t really do any traveling right now. But at the same time I feel like they can still serve their purpose; like if I were to go to a hotel and somehow lost a suitcase or pack or something. They could just look to see who it belongs with.

Creamy Dream Stickers

(On Blippo and in the booklet its referred to as Dreamland Pastel.)

Our next item is this very cute, pastel puffy sticker sheet themed around kitties and sweets. They’re very shiny and semi-puffy, with some puffier than the others. These cost $2.03 as well on Blippo.

I think these are very sweet and cute looking, I love how shiny they are too. The color palette is really nice on the eyes, I just wish maybe they were scented (despite what the writing on them says, they sadly aren’t), or at least equally puffy. Some of them feel really hard, while others are kind of soft.

Fluffy Sanrio Socks

I think Kawaii Box has a thing for socks, we seem to get them every now and then. But I don’t think it’s so bad, I like cutesy socks and I don’t buy them very often since I don’t wear them too much.

This item costs $3.22 on Blippo right now, and there are some other pairs from this set and the previous ones we got.

So as you can see, the sock is yellow and white with stripes on the ankle and pale brown coloring around the cuff and heel. The foot portion resembles Pompompurrin.

At the time of this box’s release, these types of socks would be very cozy if it’s still chilly where you live. Even now in summer it’s still pretty comfortable, but that might be because it’s been a little cool again due to the rain we’ve gotten the past few days.

The fuzziness of the socks is minimal at best, but they look very cute and are pretty stretchy, with the size being 23-25cm. I can feel the toe seams though, which bugs the heck out of me.

Iridescent Candy Mechanical Pencil

Next is this really pretty mechanical pencil featuring a clear, glittery tube, gold accents, and a cute matching candy with a big pearl inside of it. Each costs $1.75 on Blippo and comes in Pink, blue, purple, yellow, and white. You can also remove the charm and attach it to other items, which I think is a cute little touch.

This is also our first Valentines-esque item.

I’ve seen this plenty of times online and I’m very excited to have my own. I even got in pink x3 but all the colors are pretty. In terms of quality... what can you really say about a pencil? I will note that you can’t remove the top (as far as I know, I didn’t want to break it) so you need a separate eraser. But it does twist open so I think it can be re-filled.

Sakupan Strawberry & Sanrio Plate

(In case you were wondering, when I took these pictures I just happened to have a nearby storage container and got curious to see how it would look with the items.)

Valentines sweetness continues with our next 2 items; first up we have this adorable bag of Sakupan Panda’s in Strawberry flavor. They have a handful of variations on the Blippo website for varying prices. This specific bag is $3.90 currently.

I love eating sakupan pandas, so seeing them in strawberry was very exciting. They are a little “stuck together” because of them being exposed to heat, but they taste just fine. Speaking of taste, these are really good :P they have a sweet, slightly tart taste.

To pair with the sakupan, we got this adorable Hello Kitty melamine plate celebrating her 40th anniversary! Each plate costs $3.15 on Blippo and is in the shape of Hello Kitty’s head, featuring her and a friend dressing up together.

If you don’t wish to use this with food items, you can also use it as a little decorative bed or door side dish to hold small items, like jewelry, keys, stationery- the possibilities are endless.

Being an avid Hello Kitty fangirl (and little twin stars is cute too), I love this plate! It’s shape, the design, their pose; it’s the best thing ever. In fact, I plan on using it for upcoming Tokyo Treat reviews.

Heart & Lace Princess Jewelry Box

Our next item is this pretty heart-shaped jewelry box. My picture fails to do it justice- it’s so pretty! It’s available in Pink or Purple, both with unique detail and accents, and on the inside there is even a mirror. On Blippo this costs $2.75.

I love love love LOVE this cute little box~

Not only is it just really cute, but it goes with my aesthetic perfectly. It’s also perfect for Valentines Day, and you know, makes a really good box for Jewelry or other little items. I did notice that mine has some scraggly strings in a few spots, but I can easily take care of it with a trim with some sharp scissors.

Sprinkle Heart Squishy & Heart Fantasy Keychain

How perfect is it to include a squishy in February’s box? Everyone loves squishy x3 See what I did there?

Anyway, this is a simple, heart-shaped squishy covered in sprinkles. These come in pink, green, blue, yellow, and orange, and each costs $1.33.

Bluntly putting it, this is one of those really cheap squishy everyone has at least one of in some shape (they even sell mixed bags of these types in various websites). They throw sprinkles on it that barely stick to the thing and only partially color it (although the picture probably makes it look more colored than it actually is).

Cheap squishy aside, it’s very cute- although the sprinkles aren’t very appealing. I wish they used softer colors, or at least spread them out more. I hate playing with these ones since I end up worrying over the mess it could make.

It has a really good squish though, I’d give it... probably a 6 in terms of speed (with 10 being fast and 1 being slow). It’s slow and very soft, so if you like squishies that don’t take forever to rise again and want to keep squeezing, this is a really good option.

When I was little I loved collecting keychains, especially ones like this. This charm is very pretty and available in 3 colors; I’m not sure if everyone got the pink options for these items due to the holiday or if its coincidental- but I am very happy x3 they even came in my favorite shade of pink!

The other colors are blue and purple, and contains a clear heart filled with shiny sparkles, glitter, and stars. Two tiny bottles are both filled with matching star pieces and hang between the heart and top of the chain, which has two styles of attachment. On Blippo each one costs $2.75.

It’s so pretty I can’t stand it, it’s fun to play with too. Although usually these types of things are a lot “slower“ when you shake them around, making it a lot more satisfying to watch. This one is on the faster side, so it’s not as satisfying but still nice.

It’s sure to add that sweet touch to any item you want to use it with~

Kawaii Surprise

Our final item was a special kawaii surprise for the holiday, which was a randomly selected item. I’m not sure if everyone got the same item or not, but what I got is this fun set of various glitters, mix-ins, gems, for things like deco, nail art, (probably slime making too honestly).

On Blippo this is called “Korean Cute Topping Glitter Set“ and costs $3.90. Each has a rounded topper, so I feel like you can string them together or with other items.

In this specific set we get:

x2 Heart-shaped shiny pieces in pink and blue

x3 glitters in silver, green, and purple

x2 salt/sand-like flakes in blue and purple

x1 gems

I think they’re all very pretty, especially the gems. I like the mixture we get of items, but there are a few problems with this set. Firstly, some of them are easier to open than others, most of them have lids that pop right out, but 2 of them have deeper lids and needed more force to come out. Then there is also the fact that they lack color coordination, with most of them being neon yellow or green, with one that is pink, and one purple.

What else really bugs me is that the amount they give them isn’t the same between the items. Like for example all 3 tubes of glitter come in alternate amounts. The same applies to the flaky sand/salt pieces, but the heart bottles are equal length.

Content - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I think the items are lovely~ they seem to be fine, there’s no real problems or anything with them.

Price - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Everything comes to $26.81 as of now (due to recent price changes on Blippo), which is pretty good when you think about how much we pay for this box (which is almost 20 dollars). So I would suppose this box is worth the price.

Theme - ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I thought last months box really failed when it came to the theme, so I am very happy with the improvement in this one. It’s very girly and sweet, and pink, and includes all kinds of heart-themed items. A great option for Valentines Day!

Total Rank: 9 out of 10 Cuties. There are some tiny individual things that could have been better or improved upon- but I really think this is a good box and I liked it.

1. Heart Fantasy Keychain - It’s so sparkly and pretty! I haven’t actually been using any of the keychains I get as of late but I’m very tempted to find a use for this one.

2. Princess Jewelry Box - It’s so elegant looking, it definitely makes me feel like a Princess when I look at it and I’m going to have to find just the perfect spot for it in my room~

3. Sanrio Plate - I love seeing Hello Kitty dress-up like other characters x3 Doraemon, Chopper, the kitty from Monster Hunter, it’s always cute!

4. Heart Squishy - I really like the squish in this one, and it’s pretty cute. I think it could also be improved though, but I’ve never done a “squishy makeover“ before. If anything I’d at least remove all the sprinkles and apply some new, more natural looking ones that will actually stick to it.

5. Candy Mechanical Pencil - Their iridescent pastel appeal is very sweet and pretty to look at (like almost everything else in the box). I'm very happy to finally have one to call my own~

6. Sakupan Panda - I love strawberries and strawberry flavors, pandas, and pink- they’re perfect for me! They taste really good too, I wish we got more varieties of these in Tokyo Treat.

7. Glitter Set - Even if the various items aren’t an even amount, I think they will be pretty fun to use, and even looking at them is enough to enjoy their prettiness. I really want to try doing something with them, but with so many options I’m not sure what just yet...

8. Sanrio Socks - the only non-pink item I got. But they’re very soft and comfortable, with the exception of the toe seams.

9. Pastel Stickers - Very sweet and soft, looking at them gives me a dreamy, delicate vibe.

10. Cat Travel Tag - It’s pretty cute, but I just liked everything else a lot more. At least them I know for a fact I’ll end up using.
