i am going to start my own podcast reacting to scary stories but critiquing them on their mistakes
for instance: >considering a 4 year old child a woman >christianity being the be-all end-all safety latch >a story not giving a conclusive ending
join me soon for “worlds biggest weenie roasts scary stories”
#this is a joke#but i have been listening to this podcast that opens up with 'do you wanna hear something scary'#and i have yet to hear anything scary bc i keep poking holes in the stories#the one that i just listened to... i am mad bc it makes no sense#i don't get what the story was going for#a manor is in perpetual morning and the realtor goes to check it out#the thing lives in the same hour every day and has a bunch of mirrors in it#the mirrors display gore and death and then a man in burlap sacks who apparently#lives in the mirrors (???) sees him and tracks him through the house THROUGH THE MIRRORS#and then. breaks through the mirrors and kills him???#even tho it started w the realtor exploring like. the house repairing itself from broken mirrors and pipes#like okay. scary man in the mirror. he takes people THROUGH the mirrors to kill them#apparently. for some reason.#BUT THAT DOESN'T EXPLAIN THE HOUSE?#is there like a spiritual attachment because of this murder spirit?#why does it repair itself? to draw people in?#why is this one specific piece of property INCLUDING THE OUTSIDE in perpetual daylight#why do the worms keep returning and the baby birds not get older#is it a timeloop? but people can come and go?#I DON'T GET IT#there was one story that might have been a bit creepy that i BELIEVE is a thai legend#except i'd seed a dark comedy movie already based on it#and the ending was so sweet and sincere that it had me in tears#so i kept comparing the story (kinda poorly told) to the movie and it just didn't compare#one listener asked the podcast host slash narrator to give a warning for one of the stories#bc of their culture and the host instead slowed down and distorted the music the listener asked for her to put a warning up for#no warning included. the music still plays. and this listener had just explained why people from their culture#didn't want to play or hear that music outside of funerals for a specific reason#hnnng#anyway
