crazy to me when people are like "wanting people to reblog your art is a toxic trait" like girl what are you talking about this is a blogging website......
#*don't reblog*#theres an important conversation to be had about how destructive and corrosive it can be#to only view your art through the lense of consumability#and the detriments of letting others perception of what you create by the soul factor in your own opinions of it#the harmfulness of only creating to be good rather than simply to preform the human act of creation#but whats the point of posting art on a blogging website if nobody.... is going to reblog it#like I don't post things to keep them I have a sketchpad for that??#I don't know its just sooo weird to tell artists that its unhealthy to want others to appreciate and validate#the work that the put hours of love and effort and care into#like if you want to consume art you have to appreciate said art?#someone being disappointed or annoyed that they have a 4 to 1 like reblog ratio#doesn't mean they're so forlorn that they're going to Stop Creating Forever#it just means they're going to stop posting it lmao#again its important to talk about the harm that viewing art as something to be good at rather than as an inherent act of humanness does#but the importance of that isn't contradictory to being pissed off when the art you spend 4+ hours on#and make a point to put out into the world#gets 5 reblogs and 57 likes#and it just seems dismissive and weird to try and tell artists that its unhealthy for wanting appreciation for their hard work#and fuck me I guess but I don't think wanting to be good negates the ability to create for the sake of creation#I can make things because it fulfils a part of my sould to do so and because I want to improve in an activity I am putting effort into#anyway this isn't in response to anything from today or anything I have just been thinking about it lately#and I get Chatty when I'm tired#as you may be able to tell akbsmxjlsbzj#ghost posts#text

A Truth By Song
[MASS of text underneath the cut, as well as angst and metal and revelations. If you wanna know about why Shanaris, a rather well-established druid, hangs with The Coldwall Collective, a seemingly simple group of criminals, keep reading down below.]
I can feel it aching within every bone inside me I can feel it breaking out retaliation: released I need to cause the evil-doers’ suffering Can’t wait to choke the life out from your baneful bodies If only I could afflict you Hurt you in the same way that you hurt I just want to exact reprisal Retribution calls The only way I depict you Is that your redemption’s undeserved Meet the vessel of your reprisal Retribution calls It’s not that I take life for granted It’s only that the good won’t make it Innocence dies while villainy thrives
youtube
How can you harm a living thing thinking that it’s your right? How can you defile a life deprive it of innocence? For too long you have gotten away with murder A fitting justice would be your painful execution If only I could afflict you Hurt you in the same way that you hurt I just want to exact reprisal Retribution calls The only way I depict you Is that your redemption’s undeserved Meet the vessel of your reprisal Retribution calls It’s not that I take life for granted It’s only that the good won’t make it Innocence dies while villainy thrives
I want to ruin the rapist Punish the criminal Violate the abuser End the murderer
I feel like I should tell Shanaris’ true reason for ever thinking of joining up with the Coldwall Collective. I can say she does it for amusement or sadistic choice and both would be true, but they aren’t the main, actual reason. Funnily enough, a song I never heard from one of my favorite bands brings it out for me, perfectly. I joke about it all the time. “Oh Shanaris is just in this guild because she likes watching humans and others squirm”. “Shanaris joined because she wants to amuse herself”. Still true, all of it! Still not the main reason. The main, true reason is something fairly cliche and almost typical for someone with a high sense of regard for herself.
Shanaris, when it all comes down to it, had seen too much. By that I mean her mind wasn’t just hardened by all the wars, traumas, and tragedies but warped. Her views on her own people and the people around her warped in such a way where she hardly sees anything but different breeds of corruption living inside a world they don’t deserve to live in.  A corruption so vast that it hardly matters if you were born in the best of times, in the best of ways, for Shanaris believes you will grow to grow corrupted. By one thing or another, the views of the past, a pain that never shook from you, or a witnessed tragedy that etched into your eyes.
Shanaris isn’t free from the so-called corruption either. Her sins haven’t been forgotten easily, and even still they have a way of haunting her one way or another, be it from the subtly abusive ways of her father by shutting down her emotions, to the seemingly casual murder of her own people, orcs, and various other races. Her belief is that there is no such being or entity that is free of a sin. Once the mind becomes aged enough to point where it can preform its own thoughts and create its own ideals, it will devolve.
Before Shanaris became a druid, she held an insurmountable rage, purposefully drowned by alcohol, sex, and isolation; none a healthy choice to let these thoughts do anything but fester. She thought of setting herself into an army of mercenary group, even becoming a simple bandit to do as she pleased, but Shanaris couldn’t escape the call of the wilds; saving grace as well as an opportunity.
I never mean it plainly when I say ‘druidism really mellowed out Shanaris’. It goes deeper than her racism and bitterness to the world.. Without druidism Shanaris would likely be something of a criminal, perhaps a terrorist who would just keep on chipping away at society  until it eventually chipped at her completely. At the same time it made her smarter, seeing through the emotions and painful morals to understand them all with a twisted revelation that it is civilization that corrupts. Shanaris believes wholeheartedly the rules of the wilds is the best and most pure way to live - a way that would eventually redeem Shanaris of her sins as well as others. A simple rule of freedom of action, thought, and survival. The fittest endure while the weak perish. Instead of charisma gathering societies? The simplicity of claiming a territory and leaving it at that. No expansion, no conquering of others, simply being content with what is given to you.
Shanaris sees civilization as the root of all the evil and corruption there is to have in Azeroth. Perhaps not even civilization but the continued progression of such is what she despises. There’s never a point of content, and even she’s guilty of it. Shanaris constantly hones her magical attunement if only to better serves her wishes of simply…granting others grisly punishment.
Pessimistic? For sure. It’s a twisted spiral of vindication by killing and torturing those that kill, torture, and manipulate. I never said it was healthy, definitely not. Shanaris could learn how to fucking chill but there’s literally not a single bone left in her to be chill.
The best example I can give of her zealous druidic morals and twisted view of life would her her ‘reputation’ in Un’goro Crater. More of a headcanon, but Shanaris is known for creating many a corpse in that jungle, all of them from simple hunters trying to catch big game, poachers attempting to retrieve devilsaur horns, slavers looking to hide away, and occasionally the desecrator to the jungle’s sanctity. guest. She kills for a sense of redemption in herself for the crimes she’s committed while also seeking out some sort of vindication from these practices after seeing countless beasts and humanoids under the terrible treatment of someone else’s villainy. Her kills are rarely clean, each one to send a message to the one’s who behave in a way that sickens her, even if they’re going to die anyway.
Aszhara’s betrayal, her father’s fatal order, the death of her mother, the death of her lovers, due to something she can’t control - urges of the mind that want to feel…good, controlling, greedy. She can’t control these ideals and thoughts for certain but she can definitely try to control how many people can do sickening acts and live.
Shanaris serves with Masnira, with the Collective, because with them she can let loose all that rage and hatred and simply be seen as doing her job. With the Collective Shanaris can do just as Masnira envisions, cause chaos to the so-called structure of civilization and bring freedom of action to the people, the one’s who work and make an effort to live rather than use others’ effort to get through their lives. Shanaris wouldn’t openly admit it, but she’d gladly spend her time with Masnira to make sure this ultimate plan goes along as she wishes if only to see the one’s who deserve to be punished, punished.
As such I think I need to start exploring both her past a bit more as well as her life withing the Collective rather than outside of it.

🛠🛠🛠🛠🛠🛠🛠 please I love hearing about your characters
I’m gonna take each of those hammers as individual characters cuz I love talking about my babies and I love the fact you enjoy hearing about them, too.
Okay frst I wanna talk about some characters I’m tweaking for my novel. –Kuro-M1  was originally an OC I made for Bleach. She’s probably my oldest OC considering I made her when I was 12 or 13. Originally, her story was that she was an experiment of Aizen’s before all the Hollow experiments started. She was to be a basic Alarm System/ Guard Dog. But as she grew, she gained more of a personality than he would have liked, causing him to lock away her memories and toss her aside only to find her more usefu-ll during his betrayal at the end of the ‘Save Rukia Arc’. In my novel, she is still an experiment, though is changed from a simple Guard Dog to a Soldier in the Royal Family. She does not have much of a personality other than following orders and protecting the Royal Family. She looks a little different, though her skin is still pale and her hair is still white. She keeps her ears, face markings, and tail, though her eyes are completely emerald(no sclera) with no pupil. This is actually a common trait among the species she originally comes from, though with her Robotic personality, it makes her more eerie. The experiments preformed on her began when she was a very small child, she was an orphan and completely deaf. The experimentation cured her deafness(by giving her new ears) as well as heightened senses and even better balance. She’s a master swordsman in the book.–G4-N   was originally an OC for Yu Yu Hakusho. He’s probably the second newest OC I have. Jordyn could be considered his younger sister in that regard. Originally he hailed from Demon world where his family owned a large warren and he had multiple brothers and sisters and generally had a loving family. Since he was the oldest, he was set to inherit the land and be the head of the family when he came of age, though he was much too cowardly to really ever want that. Unfortunately, his family was attacked by bandits who were after his family’s heirloom: a large, red ruby that was passed down from generation to generation. He had managed to run away from the bandits, however, he was unable to save the rest of his family. He was forever haunted by this, often berating himself for his cowardice. He eventually wanders to the Human world after hearing about the Spirit Detectives. He admires humans and hopes to become as strong as the Detectives one day so he can avenge his family. In the Novel, G4-N is an experiment and a Soldier for the Royal Family. Unlike Kuro-M1, he was experimented on when he was an embryo, giving him no memories of ever being normal. His skin matches his hair color, though it seems to be a little lighter in shade. His eyes, like Kuro-M1′s, are solid blue with no pupil. He is very obedient and only seems to truly listen to his creator. He specializes in Hand to Hand Combat, often using his powerful rabbit legs to do all the hard work. –Chie was originally another Bleach OC of mine. She grew up in poverty but eventually was able to show off her skills enough to be allowed into the Soul Reaper academy, leaving her family behind without a second thought. She was one of my more selfish characters and originally supposed to be a Self-Insert of sorts? But she eventually just grew into her own thing and strayed very far from myself. In the Novel, she grew up the same way, though the place she grew up is called Ruia City. Ruia City itself is a giant cluttered, dirty, slum-like city where people with dreams of fame and fortune go out of the foolishness of their own delusions. Chie’s ancestor had the same hopes only to fall in line with the rest of the population. However, she was born with a very specific type of Magic, one where she can see every single strand of DNA in a person’s cells. Due to this, she can rearrange and splice together all sorts of creations/creatures with a simple flick of her wrist and a pair of tweezers. This paired with her excellent memory and learning abilities caused her to be noticed by the Royal Family, specifically, their eldest son. Because of her creations from before, she leaves her family more with a way to live in somewhat luxury, having plants that grow fruits and vegetables far bigger than commercial crops and appliances that can keep them warm during the cold nights. She is the reason for G4-N’s and Kuro-M1′s existence, as well as the rest of the Royal Army. She does not see any harm in what she does and is even quoted to saying she loves all her creations, even the failures. The Family can agree that her creations hold a strong affection for her as well.–Hanako(unfortunately I do not have a picture of him) was originally a DRRR!! OC. I think he’s my third Oldest OC? I originally had him as female, but I made the decision to change him to Male cuz I don’t know. I think it just fit him better. His parents were murdered by one of the Color Gangs(A whole gang I made up with it’s very own OC Leader but unfortunately I don’t have her documents and I don’t remember much about her so I’m not going to talk about her), causing him to grow up more or less by himself. His only companion is a black cat named Knight who waits for him outside school as well as waits for him to get off work at the Floral shop in town. He is constantly given false leads and often lead into serious danger by Izaya all because he promises Hanako with leads into who killed his parents. One of these incidents left him with deep scars on his back which he covers up with a corset piercing. I do not know if I’ll feature him in the Novel, but if I have to place him somewhere, I would put him in Angelus Sanctum. AnSan is a huge city dedicated to peoples of all religions and backgrounds. This is often the place where people go to celebrate festivals and holidays for their respective religions. Unfortunately, there is an orphaned population in the city, though they are looked after by all sorts of monasteries and churches. Hanako grew up in one of these with a few other of his companions. They would often get into trouble, stealing food and other goods, though would always look after one another no matter what. Hanako was designated the leader of their little group, which while he had a bit of a hesitation to, he eventually accepted. There was an instance where while practicing their magic, a child who had very little control over their abilities caused a huge explosion. Protecting his friends who were too close to the explosion by shielding them, Hanako sustained heavy injuries and eventually scars from the ordeal. He doesn’t seemed bothered by it in the slightest. As he and his group grew into adults, they all eventually decided to just open a brothel together within the city. There are many followings, even ones that worship sex and fertility, so a brothel is not all that out of place. They are kept up to a very high standard, being sanitary and the suitors incredibly clean and healthy. Hanako runs the building and makes sure all of his friends are safe and comfortable, even kicking out and if it’s called for, beating up rude guests. On the side, he prefers to flower arrange rather than partake in sexual acts. The Inn also has a mascot: Knight, the Black Cat. He mainly sits on the front desk, sleeping all day or playing with the curtains in the lobby as well as guests who give him attention. Hanako considers his group his family and will do anything for them. You could probably consider Hanako to be the precursor for Jordyn, though she’s much more outgoing and fun-loving than he is. Hanako is more relaxed and serious than he is playful or even a flirt.–Akiko(again, sorry but I do not have a picture of her) is and always will be a Katekyo Hitman Reborn OC. She is my Second Oldest OC and the first one I actually thought of as well balanced and not a Mary Sue. She has flaws and weaknesses, many of which are brought on by her weapon. She’s bad at certain school subjects like math and English, but excels in other subjects like History and Chemistry. Though because of her clumsiness and lack of proper balance, none of the students at Namimori take her seriously. She finds some companionship with Tsuna, though, even calling him her brother at some point. She is the daughter of two well-known Hitmen, though her mother is more known for running the Nerofiore family which has become corrupt over the past 300 years. Akiko had never been aware of her family’s ties to the Mafia but actually takes it a lot better than Tsuna had with his own revelation. She inherits a weapon called Augurio Di Morte (Death Wish/Wish to Death) which seems like a regular red and silver bracelet until she puts it on. Upon putting it on, she realizes that she cannot take it off, it is latched onto her until she dies. This bracelet can turn into whatever weapon, shield, object she wants it to simply by thinking of the thing she needs at the moment. Unfortunately, her thought process isn’t the speediest, making it more of a hinderance than anything else. Eventually, with the help of Dino(Who’s family created the bracelet), she learns to use it to it’s full potential. And since I was really into animal companions back then, she had a little ferret companion called Akisho while her mother had a Fox companion whom I forget the name of.Now, I originally wrote 100 chapters of her own fanfic which I enjoyed writing a lot. However, I stopped around the finale to the Future Arc and even more unfortunately, my USB recently corrupted and half of my files were lost, including that fanfic. So unfortunately, that will never have it’s conclusion. Akiko was originally going to become the next Boss of the Nerofiore family and even participate in the Arcobaleno War with a few younger family members from the family. I also created a Genderbend of her, but he eventually became his own thing, too. His name is Aiko(I’m so creative I know) and in a lot of plots, he is her older brother who has inherited the Nerofiore family title. He loves his sister with all his might and wishes for nothing but the best for her. Now in his own story, he is one of Hanako’s companions who suggests the brothel idea. He considers Hanako as an older brother and trusts him without hesitation.
I think that’ll do it for right now. If you wanna hear more, just ask! I’m always happy to talk about my babies.
