Yoo Cyberpunk 2077 accidentally got too real:

So I did the new date quest they put in after 2.0 (team Judy for life btw) and after doing all the options (except sleeping cause I'm a gonk and forgot to check if you fuck while they're over) I even did the shower option which she joins you, and the dance option which is hilarious and janky.. literally AS A JOKE because I had a Roach Race arcade in the apartment (the horse jumping minigame) I was RPing like what if I invited her over and just played games instead? So I did a couple runs that instantly failed (stupid fucking rng don't EVEN...) but the third run I LITERALLY GOT THE HIGH SCORE for those unaware there're leaderboards for all the arcade minigames and this is the first time in.. let's see, all 3 playthroughs I've done of Cyberpunk 2077 and I actually got it.. well I was so psyched that I ended the date without even seeing if the sleep option with Judy around would lead to a sex scene...

Tl;dr I RP'd as a stereotypical douche who games instead of fucking their gf 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 jesus, but I got high score 🥲

Cyberpunk 2077 Urban-explore blog #1

Hello there Choom! I’ve been exploring around in Cyberpunk 2077 recently, since I enjoy the world design and wanted to share some of the stuff I found. First off, I can be pretty critical of this game, but I do understand that others enjoy it. I do too! I just was very disappointed in the state of release of the game back in December of 2020. From the tons of bugs and technical issues to the massive amount of cut content. I do hope this game can improve and become something better.

Also apologies for the long post. I really don’t know how tumblr works, but I’m trying it out anyway. Also mild spoilers down below. Nothing major.

For exploring I don’t use cheats or console commands. For most of my exploring using the double jump cyber implant is enough to allow me to explore for my heart’s content. It’s honestly the only reason I keep playing the game. There’s just so much to explore!

Anyways, onto exploring. The first thing I did, was play some Roach Race. The new minigame where you can actually play an arcade game. In this game you play as Roach, the horse of Geralt from The Witcher series, running and avoiding obstacles. If you’ve ever played the dinosaur “no connection” google chrome game, then you’ve pretty much played this. Though interesting to note is that the game has a leader board, and after I played a game I got a message stating that if I got into the top 5, there would be awards. Which was pretty exciting. It doesn’t seem very hard, but after playing a bit I got 6th place, and called it for today. I’ll play again some other time.

After that I started to roam. I even found this Private Investigators office. I wonder if there’s any meaning behind the sign? I couldn’t tell.

After that I started to to climb. And oh boy did I found something great. Usually the rails in night city are blocked by huge amounts of collisions that actively push you away from them. I guess they really don’t players to roam on top of the empty rail ways? So I guess they forgot one cause:

If you can’t tell I am a lot closer to the rails than what should be allowed. So much so that I was able to actively get on the rails past the collisions and walk on top of it.

Something interesting to note is that these set of rails are special because they lie on top of a road. I don’t know why they are. It’s even marked on my mini-map as such with the green line being the road. But don’t worry I bet you’re curious what’s at the end of the rail right? Well fear not because I found it.

As you can see the end of this railway is nothing more than a slab of pure concrete. Guess the trams have the ability to go through solid material. And as you can see from the screenshot I got a special message for going too far. Ah yes the famous “Turn back. Nothing out there for you... just yet” message that appears when entering parts of the map the devs don’t want you to. Always something good to see to make sure I’m on the right track.

Though fun fact: the trams do work as moving objects and you can be hit by one. Which is so odd, since you’d have to go out of your way to get hit by one, like me. But sadly no, there is no way to ride these. I guess the fast travel system is meant to be using them? But I always wanted to be able to ride inside of them. Anyways.

I don’t think these rails are up to code... surprised they haven’t caused a derailment yet.

Now then, if that was one end of the track, where does the other end go? Well good question. It goes to a station presumably to be loaded with cargo. You can see a very rare look into the station here. It really is nothing more than just rails switching sides.

Sadly however, I can’t get any closer. There’s a gigantic collision box on all sides of this station. No matter what angle I tried this was the end of the rails journey. Sad :(. Though I did certainly try.

So I went exploring else where. Something I find a ton of is areas where you can tell assets were placed together. Such as the roofs of this building overlapping with one another.

Or how this barbed-wire is embedded in the roof behind the motel for BugBear’s quest.

I also don’t think that this placement of ventilation would get much air flow. No would that latter be much of use, seeing that it’s inside the ventilation machine.

But now for the final part of my exploration. I found something that eerily resembles some actual urban-ex stuff. I found an empty tunnel that used to lead from a parking garaged to a hotel. But the hotel is now run-down, except for that night club you can find during one side-quest. Here is the tunnel:

Both ends just end to walls. But the stairs lead down to the garage:

There’s no need for this tunnel or the garage to exist. But this is really cool to see. You can tell this hotel was once functioning, but has long fell to disrepair and negligent. This is some seriously cool environmental story telling that I think a lot of people would miss out on. Hence why I wanted to make this post.

But shortly after this my computer blue screened.

So I guess that’s all from cyberpunk today. Yeah, fixed game with no technical issues huh? I swear the latest 1.6.1 is just very unstable. I had less issues with 1.6 before this new update.

So anyways, I want to make more posts like this in the future but I don’t know how often I’ll do them. They’re mostly for me to reflect back on previous stuff I found. But until next time, have a good one!
