sorry to bother you. i have not watched the contintental yet, but i was wondering if you could answer something for me if you have? do they ever mention what caused the scars to the adjudicator's mouth? thank you for your time. :)
Oh, my word where do I start....
According to the director of that show, she got her scars when she was a baby because she had milk on her mouth area so rats ate her lips.
The Adjudicator didn’t deserve what happened to her and Katie McGrath deserves better than to have her characters keep dying all the time. She was the best part of the show, and they kill her? The writers ruined the show by doing that.
P.S. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! That was a personal attack. Idc if it wasn’t, it felt like one. Why can’t y’all let her characters LIVE?!
Katie needs to pick something where she has a happy ending im so serious TT^TT
lena better for real be getting that sweet sweet kryptonian love every damn night to make up for the approximately 6.5 times i’ve sat through tragedy for miss mcgrath
and again i will accept her apologies in the form of more audiobooks narrated by her in lieu of her paying for my future therapy
THE GOOD: Action is dope as hell, and Katie McGrath is fantastic as The Adjudicator. I enjoy seeing young Charon. And I’m guessing Frankie and Yen (her fight scenes were epic btw) are John’s parents? Anyway, KD has potential as a character aside from screwing her gross boss, but I’m not sure if I like the police element being THAT front and center as the franchise usually avoids focusing on cops. If there’s a police presence in the movies, it’s usually in passing as an obstacle, as opposed to a lead protagonist. And I like it that way, because this franchise is supposed to be about the criminal underworld, but anyway.
THE BAD: A couple characters could lift right out and it would flow better. I found myself a tad bored midway through Ep 1. Some dialogue is frustratingly cringey and cliche. And I accidentally caught a couple Gibson scenes. Not only was it bad casting because of who he is as a person, but his acting here is awful. Truly. He’s just there, chewing the scenery with a terrible accent.
Overall…
As a big John Wick fan, I’m definitely entertained and enjoying further exploration of the world and the lore. I’m digging the action and style. Loving McGrath’s power and scene stealing. And they definitely should’ve hired a different actor as Cormac… for many reasons.
In general, I’m looking forward to the rest of the show!
