doing abyssos weekly as a whm every week is so much fun i love actually having to use raise because my fellow healer didnt expect the p8 raidwide hellscape

#yes hephaistos those attacks are very cute. HOWEVER. #im an angel with a bubble and a magic flower. so die #literally just put down an asylum & a liturgy and MAYBE a temperance & medica 2 and everything will be fineeee #same with the several sparks of life in p7 #asylum + liturgy combo is unbeatable #i love healing #its like 'ooh healing sucks' NO #HEALING IS FUN #NONE OF YOU FUCKERS ARE ESCAPING THIS HELLSCAPE BEFORE ME #oh you want to take a nap??? you want to floortank??? no. fuck you. get up #i use the aoe afflatus sometimes but thats HONESTLY overkill 90% of the time considering my overreliance on medica 2 #it just nourishes the blood lily #and if theres something you need to know about me is that i Must Nourish The Blood Lily #wishing i could have a static for endgame raiding but i hate meeting new people and no one i know plays the game ;;;; #i want to get better at being a healer man #like im decent!! but i could be so much better #less than 6 hours till we can do abyssos again <33333 #the abyssos raids are my favorite man #specifically p7 but i fucking love p6 & p8 too and p5 and hhhhh #pandaemonium raids... #(this post was not made for p2. fuck you p2) #like the abyssos raids (not aspho aspho doesnt do enough damage anymore lmfao) are just intense enough to require me to step in #but not so intense (a la omega) to be overwhelming??? #granted i did omega as a healer once and it went fine #but #eh #it was STRESSFUL #omega opens with an attack that will launch half the party off the edge of the arena and you WILL spend the 1st minute or 2 rezzing #is it avoidable. yes. do most people who do omega know the attack. no #IM FINE.

6.4 spoilers

Pandemonium really feels like the writers had no idea what to do during asphodelos then once in abyssos they left out Athena purposefully for the Big Reveal tm of the last part of the raids so outside of Eric's fight asphodelos is just there screaming at us that lahabrea is a charismatic leader (citation and examples needed/he just publicly hurt a subordinate so y'all look bad)

Not saying they should have deleted Hesperos but he should have been clearly in on Athena's plot even if it was revealed after his death because like this he felt very much like a flat crazed gay character obsessed with a het man. The only thing he gave us was linking rdm with vampires even more and it's not like this will be ever explored.

They should have deleted the proto carbuncle especially now that Kokytos exists.

With the reveal of Hegemone all women were either killed, punished for their evil or both which is... not very Girlboss!

Lahabrea's mental degradation, knack for changing bodies despite the obvious consequences and change of attitude was not explained outside of maybe the heart of sabik also corrupted which oh! The heart of sabik! Complete asspull. Once more ivalice makes the other raids look bad when its just a homage to ff tactics.

I didn't get Athena trolling the rest of the paragons which is expected because nobody can pull a fast one on Most Ancient Emet or Elidibus, Dev Favorites. Instead she became yet another ff villain trying to become the most generic brand of god. Big sad but not surprised that me and several other people can make better theories than these writers. She's still my gamer girl queen though.

What's with elidibus choice of VA huh. Why is a boom speaker coming out of this little twink.

Oh well, there's other ways to make the ancients look bad.

The new fights ARE fun. They seem less complicated than agdistis but still good. And we are done with the ancients! That's always good news to me.
