"Oh, this is a terrible idea." The waiter sets the espresso martini in front of Alex, who looks at it with wide eyes. "This is an excellent idea." "How many cups of coffee have you had today, love?" Henry swirls his own glass of scotch around and eyes his husband over the top of it. They'd met up at this trendy bar they've been meaning to try after work, both of them in nice, pressed suits. He'd tasted the cinnamon coffee on Alex's breath then, and so when Alex had perused the menu of flavored martinis and immediately picked the espresso one, Henry had voiced his concerns. "Just a couple," Alex says, bringing the martini glass to his face and smelling it. "Oh, my GOD, that smells incredible." Henry sighs, but he can't help but smile. Over the years he's gotten exceptionally good at learning to speak Alex Claremont-Diaz, and 'just a couple' when referring to coffee in Alex Claremont-Diaz means at least four cups. Probably five. "Oh, my God," Alex says again as he takes his first small sip, and Henry knows he doesn't stand a chance. ~Five Espresso Martinis Later~ "Say you can't sleep, baby I know, that's that me, espressooooooo!" "Alex. Love. Light of my life. Please." "Move it up, down, left, right, oh, switch it up like Nintendooooo!" "Check, please."
