tbh to me the disabled fetus whatever abortion discourse is so ironic because the broadest possible understanding of eugenics (or racial hygiene) is the control of reproduction (both natalist and antinatalist) to cultivate a desirable population. what “desirable” means actually has varied historically in various eugenics schemes. the idea that women should be socially compelled to have children they don’t want to have (or “rethink” why they don’t want to have these children) for the sole purpose of guaranteeing a certain kind of population is……interesting
