9 Do you have a faceclaim / voiceclaim for your OC?

I confess I am terrible with actors and actresses and don't really know enough of any of them to try and match them up with OCs. Based on a quick google search and the soft quality of voice I imagine Lucía to have, maybe Salma Hayek or Sarah Ramírez for  Lucía's voice. I'm sorry I don't have a good answer for you 😥

20 If they came from their world to ours (if not already in our’s) how would they react? What would they do?

If Lucía were to come to our world - which mainly means 2023/modern times - she'd probably walk around in shock for a good day or two before even being coherent enough to ask questions, and then she'd be in absolute awe and wonder at modern technology - stovetops and electric ovens and microwaves and smartphones and music streaming and video calls and oh, what she wouldn't give to have a recording of her mother 😭

...and then would come the questions about how and how it works and eventually she would make it to the history questions and....keeping this light but Lucía would weep at a lot of it. Weep with sorrow for all that's been lost and weep with bittersweet gratitude at how hard people have worked to help and heal and save.

And after going through the 5 stages of grief and coming to grips with all that's happened in the world, she would explore more of it and learn - you can PUBLISH things DIGITALLY?!?!  Thousands and thousands of books available at your fingertips, and you can just - read them? And write them? There are sites where people write stories about things they love and expand on the stories they already know and love and share them and people talk about them and she can talk to people all over the world about her favorite books?!?! For real life?!

...I feel like Lucía would write fanfiction and she'd be darn good at it but she'd also be extremely shy about interacting with anyone online.

Who she's going with: Bruno

Where she's going: San Cristobál, to see a double feature playing 2 Colombian films: Antonia Santos, a 1944 drama about María Antonia Santos Plata, a peasant, Colombian rebel leader, and heroine; and Bambucos y Corazones, a 1945 musical comedy. (Based solely on limited google research.)

What she's wearing: Her green dress (the simple, off-the-shoulder olive green one with yellow-gold accents along the edges of the ruffles, waist, and hem) and a pair of comfortable alpargatas. Her hair is braided and wound into a bun at the back of her head and she's probably wearing her only pair of earrings - simple gold studs.

🎉 I always do a little happy dance when I post something. If it was a hard chapter I treat myself to something nice like a candy bar or a glass of wine. I have a hard time giving myself credit but even I can't deny since 2020 I've written A LOT. That's nothing to sneeze at.

For a person who said that everybody should publish their wip's more and not be afraid to post works even if they think they're far from perfect I seem to be too caught up in my mind about 'not having anything worth to post'. And it's bullshit. I have and I will

Here's a part one of my 'sketches I did in a span of roughly a month' featuring the Encanto oc's both mine and not mine! :)

Putting the rest under cut, because I have quite a few more sketches to share!

So, here, we have a section where I was figuring out how to draw Leandra ';D I still am, somehow I can't seem to 'get' her features but I hope I will eventually!

The last picture features my two oc's: Dioselina and Daniela. Dioselina is the one challenging Leandra to an arm wrestling match and Daniela is at the back with Augustín both rooting for their respective friends :)

1. Were you named after anybody?

I think my middle name came from a great aunt and I think my first name came from "Young and the Restless". Bruno would get a kick out of that, I bet.

2. When was the last time you cried?

A little while ago. I think the last time was a panic attack. I get those...heh.

3. Do you have kids?

No, never will.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I guess so, I have dry humour. I'm very blunt though, so who knows what I'm trying to do, haha.

5. What sports do you play/have played?

I liked racket sports like tennis and badminton in highschool, but I am not that sporty. I am more of a hiker.

6. What's the first thing you notice about someone?

Hmm...that's hard. I don't look at people. When I do end up looking at someone, it's their eyes that stick with me, ironically. While I'm talking, I can't make eye contact, but if someone else is talking, I can make too much eye contact. I think eyes are beautiful.

7. Eye color?

Sometimes green, sometimes blue, sometimes grey. It's as inconsistent as I am.

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I like both.

9. Any special talents?

I don't know.

10. Where were you born?

Manitoba, Canada

11. What are your hobbies?

Writing, reading, hiking, tracking, building things, fixing things and a multitude of other random things.

12. Do you have any pets?

A black cat. He's delightful.

1. Were you named after anybody?

Yes I am--my middle name is from my paternal grandmother, who is an amazingly strong woman who emigrated from Mexico to raise her five young boys on her own. I passed that name to my kiddo, too. My first name is from my great-grandmother on my mom's side. I was just fortunate enough to inherit her antique sewing/writing desk, which now where I often write from!

2. When was the last time you cried?

Ha! Today. One of my small humans was sad, and I was sad with her. I wanted to show her it's okay to be sad.

3. Do you have kids?

I do, two lovely small imps that I adore.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Oh, not at all. [sarcastic]

5. What sports do you play/have played?

I played soccer and volleyball back in the day. I was good at neither, but I definitely had fun!

6. What's the first thing you notice about someone?

If they are a listener or sharer (or somewhere in between). I often forget faces I should remember 😬

7. Eye color?

Light brown, some green.

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Ah, happy endings. I used to like scary movies, but I don't anymore.

9. Any special talents?

I can often predict the plot twist of movies. My husband calls it my superpower. It's fun when I'm right, but I LOVE it when I can't.

11. What are your hobbies?

Gardening is my main hobby. I love writing and am getting into art too, but I don't have as much time for those hobbies in this season of life. Gardening I can do with my kiddos 💚

12. Do you have any pets?

Not right now. I am allergic to cats and dogs...but I can dream! Maybe one day. I love doggies.

13. How tall are you?

I'm pretty average. I can turn off the smoke alarm without a stepstool if I jump just right.

14. Favorite subject in school?

English (reading/writing). Books were my everything!

15. Dream job?

Much like @16magnolias, I also had a dream job before my youngest was born. I taught writing at university and helped coordinate their undergrad writing program. I will say though, I don't think that's still my dream job. When I do go back to work, I might work with preschoolers or kindergarteners. That early age range is just magical :)

1. Were you named after anybody?

Yes! I am named after the actress who played the main character in the adaptation of my mom’s favorite book. I also have the same middle name as my mom.

2. When was the last time you cried?

I tear up almost daily at little things my kids say or do that make me happy. I’m an emotional person lol. The last time I really heavily cried was a few weeks ago at a funeral.

3. Do you have kids?

Yes! ❤

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Yes. It’s my husband's love language, lol, so I have to be fluent. I try not to be sarcastic online though because it's hard to discern tone and intention over text alone.

5. What sports do you play/have played?

I...have never actually played sports outside of PE in school. 😅 I’m not a particularly atheltic person. I do enjoy biking and hiking and swimming!

6. What's the first thing you notice about someone?

Usually some combination of hands, eyes, and smile.

7. Eye color?

Blue-green.

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings. I'm a wimp and can't handle most scary movies.

9. Any special talents?

I love to write! I’m also very good at organizing lesson plans, schedules/calendars, and events.

Reading, writing, camping, listening to music, playing piano, sharing my favorite childhood movies/tv shows/books/music with my kids

No. My husband and kids are allergic and have asthma so no pets. But we love on our neighbor and our family members pets!

14. Favorite subject in school?

Math. I loved that every problem was like a puzzle to solve that had one right answer. I love reading, but I hated having to analyze the stories.

15. Dream job?

I had my dream job before having kids. I worked in the library at an elementary/primary school. I helped kids find books they loved and ran book fairs and had all the fun of teaching with no testing and no grades. I didn't know it was my dream job until I actually did it, but after my first few weeks I knew I'd never find a job I enjoyed more than that one. ❤

1. Were you named after anybody?

Nope, but my parents mistakenly named me with the female equivalent of one of my oncle's first name.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Not sure. Yesterday I wanted to cry because of some intrusives thoughts but I didn't actually cried.

3. Do you have kids?

Nope.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Sometimes. Not a lot because it can be mean.

5. What sports do you play/have played?

Well, when I was a kid at some point I was learning to dance. And at another point I was doing Judo. I also did Jiujitsu at some point in my life. But I'm not really into sports.

6. What's the first thing you notice about someone?

The eyes.

7. Eye color?

Deep brown. I even had people telling me "wow! your eyes are very dark".

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I actually prefer happy endings. But I like scary movies too.

I like to think I'm good at writing lol.

I did karate for about seven years and swam for maybe two years. When I was a kid, I danced (ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical). Always enjoyed playing volleyball in PE.
