Man, seeing people's nice (or excited, or even just emotional in any way!) comments in tags/reblogs/etc warms my heart so much ;___;

I was pretty close to giving up on drawing some time ago, because drawing just for myself just doesn't do much for me and feels like a waste of time more often than not, and I was trying to stay away from social media for the sake of my mental health, so I almost stopped drawing for fandoms as well - with a few exceptions when I just /had/ to draw something to interact with it in some way and/or to process my emotions about it - but those were pretty rare. In some ways it felt more peaceful, but also not being able (or not wanting) to draw eventually started bothering me quite a lot - because it did feel like a resignation/depression/burnout rather than just "I just don't need it anymore, I can be perfectly happy even without it" that I hoped it could be. Something just didn't feel right. So I forced myself to start posting my drawings on tumblr again, and seeing people reacting to it finally started to thaw some of that ice on my interest and motivation for drawing. Though most of what I've been posting back then was old artwork, so the impact from the reactions to that wasn't as big for me, it seems.

But seeing people enjoying my recent Monster drawings just makes me go all ;___; 🖤 It's such a wonderful feeling, and I didn't even realize just how much I missed it, and how big of an inspiration and motivation it can be. Just to see that something that you made means something to someone is... man, I can't even describe it and how much it means to me. It's pure magic.

To anyone who leaves comments and shares their impressions - thank you so, so much for taking the time to do so. You are literally my biggest source of the strength to not give up 💪 (And I'm grateful to everyone else too, of course - I cherish every littlest bit of kindness 🙏 Thank you all so much!)
