The circus was definitely a freak show. The customers were most of the time more freakish than the performers. That's what Sanghyun noticed, at least. He was walking through the crowd of people as they entered into different tents, each wearing a unique expression may it have been surprise, shock, anticipation, boredom, awe, and everything along those lines. All he wanted to do was get back to his tent, because he wasn't used to the late hours the circus had to put up with and he wanted to take a nap. 

To avoid any eye contact from strangers, or possible questions about the circus, Sanghyun pointed his vision to the floor. He got the basics down, but as far as directing anyone to where they wanted to go or telling them something interesting about the Midnight Circus, he was useless. It wasn't like he was around long enough to play along as well as the rest of the circus did. All he knew was that he needed to pretend that any ability anyone in the cirque had was purely generated from clever stage props and illusions. Once he learned how to entertain a crowd with his ability, he'd have to figure out how to avoid talk of his act as well. 

Why couldn't he just hand out water bottles or something?

He was pulled out of his own world by the sudden bump of a stranger's shoulders. Surprised, he looked over at who he had hit, to not only see a strange man looking back at him, but the eyes of strangers surrounding them, who definitely didn't actually belong there. Just before the connection faded between the two, he watched as an unsuspecting guest walked straight through one of the entities surrounding the stranger. 

Surprise turned to absolute shock, as the image in front of him faded out. He was silent, but it was clear in his eyes what he just saw. His mind was racing with questions. Did he just see a ghost? No, ghosts didn't exist, right? Not real ghosts anyway. Not like the ones who still inhabit the earth in their past body, like lost dogs. If not, what did he just see? Was his eyes playing tricks on him? That was possible, but it looked way too real to fully believe it.

He met eyes with the strangers, studying the other's eyes for some kind of answer as to why those.. people? ghosts? things? were around him.

HI SAUM I'M ALSO HYPED! god i think the better question would be what Hasn't changed since i last talked about it, because it feels like practically everything has except for the base concept: feral lesbians slowly going insane in a haunted little coastal town while their rather more genre aware younger siblings are participating in a detective novel.
