FUTURE DREAMS SEASON V +  WK03 SCENARIOS [김다원] 

Dawon hadn’t realised just how much being ushered into rooms and made to answer seemingly asinine questions this whole thing was going to be, and in truth, he finds it irksome; he wanted to be to the fun bit already, the bit where he got to show off on television.  

But at least the question is easy. 

“Well, I’d say that I’m number one.” he responds easily, shrugging, “I’m not being arrogant, but I have to at least pretend, right? If I don’t believe in myself how can anyone else? I’ve trained a long time to sing well, and I like to think I’m entertaining.”  

In each of the three categories ( singing, dancing, rapping ), who would you want to face one on one with and why?

Dawon chuckles. 

“Ah, well...for singing I’d like to go up against Hwang Taeji, uh, Teddy. He’s so cute, so he’s my rival in that regard.” he says with a smirk, “But he’s also got a very nice voice. I like his vocal tone, and it’d be fun to go head to head with him.” 

He thinks for a second longer. 

“For rapping...” he laughs; he’s not a rapper, like at all, so the thought of him having to do so is hilarious. “Well, I’ve never really done it. It’s not my skillset, so I’ll go ahead and say, maybe Parker? He’s another vocalist, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard him do hip-hop, either, so...if anything it’d be funny, as a gag.” 

The last question is the trickiest. He isn’t exactly a terrible dancer, but he’d not really been training with idolhood in mind, so the sort of high-intensity hip-hop influenced dance that male idol groups often performed was a little beyond him. 

“Maybe Bae Woobin.” he says, although he isn’t sure why he does so, “He’s a little better than me, I think, but a challenge is always fun, right? And I think he’ll need an easy win in at least one of his match-ups. He’ll struggle with the other two.” and he only catches himself being sassy after it’s slipping from his mouth, which he covers in surprise, bowing awkwardly, “I...Bae Woobin is my friend.” he lies, “I mean that all playfully.” 

He stands then, bowing to the staff present, and thanking them for their time, before he continues on with his day, increasingly anxious about the true start of Future Dreams. He really had no clue what lay ahead for him, but he’s begun to feel the true and proper excitement itch at him.

Can you believe IU and Yoo In Na weren't friends at this time? Omfg can you believe in the movie university student voting episode, the students are literally: Ryu Hye Young and Go Kyung Pyo.

So jealous of Sayeon's date with Taec. Yoo soo jealous of them riding on the air force's planes.

I wish Nicole was in the ending episodes.

The revenge plans are so ruthless and creative. Everyone is so sly. The prank cams go so hard. Tricking In Na with Bongsun's cries was crazy.

It's so crazy watching this in 2022. IU and Jiyeon are so young. I can't with IU fangirling over Taeyang lmaoo. Kahi looks the same and still hot. Lee Jin is always beautiful. She's so pleasantly there, and it's so charming. I like how mellow she is. She also seems wholesome. I highkey think she's the funniest despite everyone saying she's boring. I loved Lee Jin the entire interview employee episode. She looking amazing in her outfit. Her interview was so funny. I love watching the members get along and having their moments. e.g. In Na and Sa Yeon imitating dogs and puppies. I think Nicole is really amusing and cool. Narsha is like an older sister I want. They're all so funny. Nicole defining Korean words is like the most beautiful and amusing thing. Sometimes, it's so wise and sometimes, it's just so funny. Nicole is more often than not, very intelligent, confident, capable, and strong. I love and admire it so much. I like Lee Jin and Kahi's friendship. it was nice to hear all the vulnerable stories in the teacher episode. You expect parts of it since the path to success is difficult, but these are good reminders and how struggles are different and the same. It's definitely inspirational and they're supportive words that I personally never hear in real life, so it's nice to hear it from people who are optimistic despite what goes on. I love IU tripping as the rabbit mascot. I love how people are so crazy for food. Ngl, I respect In Na and her ease in lying. I love how accurately they mimic each other. I love how IU does things so enthusiastically. I honestly respect everyone because they're doing soo many things that they don't need to/don't know/aren't good at, but they still do it with a hardworking attitude. I love In Na laughing when she's pleased.

I'm interested in learning about the village woman whose parents live in Uzbekistan. The soldier talent audition made me think about how random people are and what they do with their time.

The Seo In Young birthday prank was so emotionally hard to watch. Cute moments: IU hitting herself on the head, the grandmothers in the village learning slang words.
