Since the dmg fandom (i think) collectively decided Luke is to Po3 like Kaycee is to Leshy, clearly we need to either

A) Assign Carla + Lionel to the other two Scrybes. Or swap one of the two out for Theodore, idk

B) SOMEONE needs to make a post-canon fic where, somehow, a couple people (who are to Grimora and Magnificus in the same way as Luke = Po3 and Kaycee = Leshy) get the floppy disk, recover the contents, and blah blah blah

And yet another scandal for F1.........

It’s very windy in the desert and there’s a lot of dust and sand on the track.

Oh so it’s neither Ferrari nor McLaren on pole, and the journalist also talks about “a week of unwanted headlines for F1″? What’s that about?

First of all : Kubica got pole! So cool!

And now we move on to the scandal... It’s about Max Mosley and some people are asking for him to step down from the FIA. The boss of Toyota says it’s unacceptable. Horner says he doesn’t understand why they’re asking him to comment on it as his opinion is pretty much irrelevant and he can’t do anything about it (way to not take sides.......) Stefano Domenicalli doesn’t wanna comment on it. BUT WHAT ARE YOU ALL TALKING ABOUT ANYWAY. Sir Jackie Stewart says Mosley is representing a federation that goes in many parts of the world and in many different cultures and if he had been working for an international company he would already have had to resign. Oh-ho. That smells like there’s racism involved. Bernie Ecclestone who’s an old friend of Mosley (lol, of course he is) refused to give any interview and only put out a statement saying it’s in the hands of the FIA now.

Oh no, they’re interviewing a previous world champion (didn’t catch who it was sorry lol) and he said basically that Mosley is finished, and that “if it didn’t have the nxzi connotation it would have been another story”

...............THE WHAT NOW?!

The journalist reminds us that Mosley refutes any connotation and took legal action against the newspaper. BUT WHAT HAPPENED. AM I GONNA HAVE TO GOOGLE IT?! The previous world champion says he hasn’t inspected the tapes (the tapes?) himself but seen a little bit of it and that from what he saw it is indeed what it is “proposed to be”. Oh and now they’re really moving on from the subject without telling us what the subject was. Ok. Let me Google it then.

Lewis crashed during practice on Friday. He explains he was pushing, looking for the limit, and he found it. He says it’s going to be an exciting start and he might have to “pull one of these miracle moves”. He’s happy for Kubica but also points out it’s good because he knows him well from back in the days and knows how he races. He says he’s gonna give him hell on the track.

Macy Gray is Star on the Track, she says Jenson Button is a cute man. Ah but we also have Eric Clapton for some reason? Whatever, he’s an xsshole. Huh, weird, Massa is driving his Ferrari on the grid? There seems to be an issue with it. Eric Clapton says he’s rooting for Massa or Lewis to win which is surprising given he’s racist. Many people talking, I don’t know who they are. Oh so Massa’s problem was he couldn’t hear his engineer. They changed the radio real quick. AH is that Akon?! Yep, that is Akon. Of course him and Macy Gray are hanging out with Anthony Hamilton.

And they’re racing!

Oh no, bad start for Lewis. Massa overtakes Kubica immediately. Kovalainen is doing well. LEWIS IS DOWN IN 10TH?! WHAT EVEN HAPPENED. And he makes contact with Alonso oh no! He’s lost his front wing! He’s now off the road cutting a corner. My god it’s catastrophic. Other cars elsewhere have also made contact and someone has spun. One car is already out of the race too. Damn this first lap is chaotic.

We see the replay : the contact with Alonso was absolutely his fault. He rode up the back of his car for no reason. The broadcaster says “Alonso failed to continue accelerating” but what I see is Lewis failed to brake lol

Now we see a replay of the start. Ah he just didn’t fxcking start. Stuck to the ground. It’s a bad day.

Kubica now also overtaken by Raikkonen. Lewis pits. The car who DNF’d during the first lap was Seb.

We’re now 10 laps in and Lewis is 18th. 20 laps in and his pace is terrible, there’s probably further damage to his car. 30 laps in he’s back in 14th and racing Fisichella. He overtakes him! Of course he got refuelled when he got his front wing changed so he’s now on a different strategy than everybody else. We’ll see how that turns out. But 5 laps later, he’s back in 16th. Nothing’s gonna come out of this race clearly. 40 laps in, he’s back in 14th. This race is boring. 50 laps in still nothing much. At least Kubica is still 3rd so that’s cool for him.

And it’s the end of the race!

Massa, Raikkonen, Kubica.

The commentators are insisting Alonso could have brake tested Lewis. Honestly I wouldn’t put it past him to do that, but from the images it’s not obvious that he did. Maybe if we had an aerial view... In any case telemetry would clear things up but at this point there’s no investigation into the issue. If they protest I guess we’ll learn more about it at the next race.

Lewis is now 3rd in the WDC.

We don’t even get a post-race interview :(
