First one: Mexico tour aaaaand I can’t differentiate beteeen 2013 and 2018 so I’m just gonna quit while I’m ahead.

Second one: hmmm so definitely pre-revival and looks very British but I’ve been wrong about that. Jennyanydots looks like Susie McKenna but I don’t know which production she was in other than 1998. I’m really in the dark because all those European London-based productions look. Exactly the same. So I’m gonna guess original London sometime in the 90s. Hey what are Alonzo and Munkustrap doing 🤨

Two versions because I couldn’t decide which was better!

It’s weird, I’d actually been in a bit of an art slump lately. I hadn’t really been making much art, certainly not finished pieces, and I felt like my grasp of anatomy wasn’t where it should be and I just wasn’t making any progress in improving that. I was improving my art in other ways, but I felt stuck anatomy-wise.

Then I watched Cats for the first time six days ago and since then I’ve watched it five more times, written 5000 words in one day, and churned out an average of at least one artwork I’m genuinely proud of per day. Do they have flaws? Sure, but honestly, I’m pretty happy with them and pretty proud of how they look (:

Anyway! Jennyanydots, my beloved. This costume is one of my favorites in the show but it’s pretty annoying to draw actually 😅 I still had a lot of fun with this one, though. Jenny is just so endearing, you can’t help but love her.

Okay, so. 'The Shows Must Go On' uploaded the 1998 version of M&R's song (still without the missing footage, alas). But there's just one problem...

... sorry Drew and Jo! It looks like 2019 M&R - being far more competent criminals than the stage version, and pouting over the non-star actors getting no credit for all their hard work - have led an ingenious heist to steal all the credit by replacing the names of the 1998 actors with their own in all online material.

First day of Cats 1998 Anniversary Celebration! I'm so happy! Today prompt: favourite actor.

And after first excitment I'm sad now. I don't have a fav! I don't know them personally, so I can't say "That one I like, that one don't". I love all of those wonderfull people, because they changed my life. Because of their hard, unusual work they together created somethin amazing, something... well, lifechanging. So, I want to say "Thank you! You are the best! I love you!" to all of them!
