au: surfer sam au based off his character in a faberry fic i read years ago

it was a bright and sunny day in florida, and the waves were anything but flat today. sam could already sense that it’s going to be an amazing beach day ( although, every day is technically a beach day with the job he works ). with quinn, santana, and mike manning the surf shop, he could easily enjoy his day off. he’s swimming around, pumping himself up to surf afterwards. there seemed to be a lot more tourists on the beach today, and a lot of them here meant some of them may want to take up surfing, which was good for the shop.

surfacing in the water, he swims to the shore, standing up and ready to grab his board, until he feels a sharp sting along his right leg. sam grunts in pain, doubling over to fall onto the sand. man o’ war. it had been a while since he’d gotten stung by one of these.

She had some down time today and thought it would be a good idea to hit the beach. She stood on the beach, wearing a jet black one piece swimsuit with red accents. Thorn started in amazement as a blonde out on the water surfed the waves. Surfing was a talent Thorn didn’t possess, but she liked watching other’s show off their skills when she came to the beach.

Dark green eyes watched as the blonde finished and headed towards the beach. She decided to walk over to where the blonde was. Thorn had to praise them on their skills. “Hey!” Thorn called out. She walked up to the blonde. “I was watching you surf and I think you’re amazing.”
