Heck, back in my day, you used to be able to get a Z-95 Headhunter for well under the MSRP’s sticker price and the dealer would still throw in an extra deflector shield and some proton torpedoes to sweeten the deal. I actually fondly remember the government used to have a scheme called “Credits for Junkers” which paid people to actually trade in their old rocket propulsion starships for the new and more clean and environmentally friendly ion-engine-powered starships. So now most of us aren’t thinking about buying our dream starship, we’re being more careful and pragmatic without economic choices. In economic times like this, it’s all about finding a good economical starship that has good resale value. This way when you decide to sell or upgrade your starfighter, you can minimize your loss. So we’ll be taking a look at the TIE fighter.

You guys know that I would never take a standard TIE into a dogfight. I hate the solar panel design that gives you massive blindspots, the lack of shields, hyperdrive, and heck, there isn’t even life support on this thing. But when it comes to resale value, it’s not always about performance, instead, you have to look at the market and what individuals are willing to buy and the TIE fighter has a lot of really good features that might attract your more budget buyers You see, TIE fighters are relatively cheap, to begin with at around 60,000 credits each and at around 25,000 credits used so they won’t really break the bank when you purchase one. There are some reasons why the TIE fighter is an extremely smart buy from a resale point of view. First of all, it was one of the mass-produced starfighters in galactic history.

While other starfighters focus more on performance and features, the designers of the TIE fighter first focused on the manufacturing process and how to build things cheaply. The TIE fighter is an engineering marvel, it has no moving parts and it has a very low maintenance cost. The point is the TIE fighter was extremely reliable and well-built. Sure it was fragile even when compared to an A-wing, but you could still keep a TIE fighter running even decades after the empire collapsed and they stopped manufacturing parts for them. When the New Republic arose, so did a new market for old TIE fighters. You see, you had the centrist faction in the government, they basically supported stronger feral control over the galaxy and they have a really unhealthy nostalgia for Imperial memorabilia so a full-on TIE fighter would fetch you top dollar. So remember guys, resale is all about demand, and with this in mind, I’m sure you’ll be rich in no time.

Today is her -497th birthday!

Hazel is a war orphan; she was conscripted into to the SPARTAN-III program and was assigned to Alpha Company. She served with Alpha company for nine months until she got noticed by Admiral Whitcomb's advisors. She was reassigned to ONI's HEADHUNTER initiative: Spartans who were specially trained for risky, clandestine missions, and were often expected to complete their assignments undetected and without radio contact. As a result, she avoided the devastation of Operation: PROMETHEUS.
After the war, she and Owen-B096 were sent to escort the A.I. Gabriela, who had been recovered from Reach, to Outpost Discovery--a mobile, educational exhibit open to the general public to entice them to join the UNSC.
She was reassigned during the Created conflict to protect human colonies from Banished supply chain disruptions.
In canon (~2560) she is turning 39!

The government’s Vahan website states that approximately 9,89,000 EVs have been registered with regional transport offices as of 29th December 2022. The figures already indicate an increase of more than three times from 2021 (without Telangana data).
The major drivers of the rise have been EV automotive and mobility fleet operators and individuals purchasing two-wheelers. New models, more charging stations becoming available, and reduced operating costs have all attracted customers. Manufacturers like Tata Motors, Ather Energy, and Ola Electric stand to gain the most from the rising use of EVs.
In October, November, and December, EV sales per month exceeded the 1,00,000 mark due to high demand during festival season and year-end purchases. 1,02,000 electric vehicle registrations were made in December, compared to 115,000 and 119,000 sales in October and November.
Even though sales for the industry were down in December, Tata, the dominant player in the four-wheeler market, passed the 50,000 EV mark. It became the first vehicle manufacturer in India to do so this year thanks to its aggressive strategy in the EV market and automotive executive search firms, which helped increase its customer base and raise the necessary awareness. Tata Motors currently control 85% of the market for electric passenger vehicles. According to predictions from the industry, if this year’s trends continue, EV sales might reach 1,00,000 each month over the following 12 months.

INR 8597 crore has been granted incentives under Phase II of the FAME Scheme, which was introduced in 2019. INR 1000 crore has been designated for the construction of charging infrastructure, giving rise to recruitment agencies for the automotive industry due to the rise in workforce demand.

Traditional country singer-songwriter and Oklahoma native C.J. Garton’s latest single “Good Gone,” from his double-length album Tales of the Ole West and Other Libations to Please the Palate, continues to deliver modern-day masterful songwriting works of the lost traditional sound, which most of current country music lacks. “Good Gone” is available everywhere now from G-Bar Records and The Orchard and to country radio programmers via Austin Radio Promotions. Garton wrote “Good Gone” on the first day of a multi-state 700+ mile horseback journey he embarked on with his son in 2019. The night before, he celebrated his anniversary with his wife and stayed out late. He was feeling it the next morning as he walked across the church parking lot. His idea of someone hungover from a heartache came to mind and he immediately wrote down the lyrics and recorded the melody to his phone. “The song just hit me out of nowhere,” Garton said, “and I stopped for a bit, wrote it on my phone in the notes application, put the phone in my pocket and then began our 700 mile trip together.  Over the duration, I wrote 32 songs in 30 days while on horseback.” Garton is an Oklahoma native with Cherokee blood running through his veins.
