One of my assignments from class this year that I'm proud of. For this master style study, I chose to attempt rendering in Christopher Denise's style, which I have always adored. It was interesting using the chalk pastel brushes, as I normally do not touch them. In studying his work it seems he moved from real media into digital and there was very little about his process I could glean from his posts, but they were still helpful. Definitely not the way I'm used to working, but a lot of fun and I learned a lot about working with heavily textured brushes.
The sketch was from one of my thumbnails for the final assignment, which was to illustrate a few pages of The Tortoise an the Hare. I liked this pose enough to finish it.

Whipped up my own imagined "official" artwork for fun and experimenting. Mentally I am here, back in my kalos phase.
Bonus: It would be funny if we get the banishment treatment in PLA except this time we get fired from the organization that we'd work for and we have to stay at some makeshift campsite with AZ lol

I always wanted to try emulating the ghibli style and since kaveh really reminded me of howl when I first saw him, I thought it was time to finally give it a go!
