zennor hill. zennor quoit. constructed image. exploring the stones from zennor hill and their relationship with the quoit. significant stone features make up this extraordinary selection of tors: a holed stone(1) seen on the extreme left of the photo, is the result of acidic rain water oscillating in small depressions in the rock over millennia. this one still in place but one similar converted by the neoliths and included in the ing monuments; men-an-tol and cram brea. logan or balancing stones (2)(3) one with a large solutions basin and one looking like the capstone of a quoit. a propped stone (4) thus one recently classified as such, is now a recognised,fairly new, monument type. another such monument sits between the main tor stacks at carn galva and has an orientation towards the winter solstice sunset. and finally, although not viable from the quoit is a recently discovered ‘sunstone’ (5) that projects the suns rays each midday across its surface giving a different position in line with the changing seasons. it is in fact a very large upturned solutions basin repositioned so the that the original base of the basin is set 5 degrees off the vertical. on its southern edge a small hole penetrates its rim, making a ‘lens’ to project the sun rays. all making a this tor landscape of particular significance. the siting of the quoit in sight of this conglomeration of stone settings is clearly very intriguing. #stonefeature , #stonefeatures , #ancientwisdom , #landscapeart, #naturalstone, #naturalstonefeatures , #solutionsbasin , #waterbasin , #proppedstone , #archeaology , #sunstone , #loganstone , #quoit , #dolmen , https://instagr.am/p/CNX4pVvr73U/

New Documentary! Exclusive Clip Sees Crunchyroll Explore Dr. Stone

Dr. Stone was originally created by Riichiro Inagaki with illustrations provided by Boichi for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 2017. Viz Media has licensed the series, and they describe Dr. Stone as such, "Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens.

Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing... Depicting two million years of scientific history from the Stone Age to present day, the unprecedented crafting adventure story is about to begin!"

Dr. Stone has become one of the anime industry's rock-solid hits of the year. The series has been a favorite with manga readers thanks to its place in Weekly Shonen Jump, and it made a stellar transition to the small screen. Of course, fans are eager to learn how the series' adaptation came to be, and the folks at Crunchyroll were just as curious. That is why the company sent a team over to Japan to film a documentary on Dr. Stone, and ComicBook.com has an exclusive first-look at the special.

In our exclusive clip of Crunchyroll and VRV‘s upcoming Dr. Stone documentary showcases anime director Iino Shinya and producer Katagiri Shusuke discussing the challenges of adapting Riichiro Inagaki’s critically acclaimed manga.

Because the show is being adapted from such an introspective series, capturing the constant jumps from the series’ technological past to its petrified present day tends to flow better in the manga than an anime format. According to them, the challenge lies in making moments that showcase a past that looks like our present-day and a future that looks like the stone age translate as well as it does in the comic.

The upcoming Dr. Stone documentary was shot in Japan alongside the creators of the series and is slated to hit Crunchyroll/VRV September 13 at 1 pm PT.

Above, you can find a special clip which looks into part of the Dr. Stone production process. First, fans are introduced to the show's creative producer Shusuke Katagiri who explains one of the toughest elements of the anime. As he says, each episode of Dr. Stone is meant to make fans feel as if they've accomplished something, and the difficulties only continued from there.

In the next scene, fans are introduced to the director of Dr. Stone, Shinya Iion. It is there the creator says one of the most challenging aspects of adapting the manga comes with living up to the surprises which artist Riichiro Inagaki made up years ago.

"When you're reading the original manga every week, there's something that surprises you every single week," Iion explains. "I wanted our viewers to also feel that."
