It’s been a full year since the release of Sonic Frontiers! The journey to the Starfall Islands may have answered some questions, but raised a hundred more in its place! Where can Sonic and friends possibly go from here? Look forward to the new horizons!
The towers are memorials to the pilots. And the kocos that hold the spirit of them look like this
Four Towers of the Masters. They're referred to as Masters. What does that mean?
So much lore! And playable Team Sonic who are all determined a normal amount. Amy's gameplay looks so epic OMG JCBSHDJFJ
Still no more hint on what was going on with Tails, I can't wait to know more abt that. Tails is in full analysis and mission mode. Knuckles is very glad to smash things.
A mix for searching your soul, to forge new frontiers.

How about Theme of Starfall Islands from Sonic Frontiers?
Good evening, all! Excited to get into this soundtrack...time to break out the orchestra!
The mood of the open zones in this whole soundtrack is so tangible, so palpable, and this track showcases it well. The piano and strings together with the epic percussion and dash of synths portray this broad landscape trapped under a cyber lock very well. As the piece moves forward, it gains a motion without needing heavy or fast percussion, with the repeated piano line creating a churn of motion. The cello solo toward the middle of the piece is gorgeous--haunting and lonely, even as it stretches to the higher part of its range. I love the repetition in the piece too, it really lets you get lost in it, like bobbing in ocean waves. And then it all strips down for the piano, before gaining that "cinematic trailer" feel toward the end. I would love to play this in an orchestra! (If I played strings that is...an arrangement for wind ensemble though? How cool would that be?)
thinking about Knuckles getting trapped on the starfall islands again.
Like, how long was he stuck there for?
He was there for the Tails tube, so it was probably shortly after that. But that’s still a long time to go through what he describes as nightmareish visions.
But imagine if they didn’t end up going to the starfall Islands. With Knuckles living alone up there it could be ages before anyone realizes he’s missing. And even then how would they even know what happened to him? They would have to search the entire island without even knowing what they’re looking for. Even if they did find the cyber space portal how would they know that’s why he disappeared? Would they even be able to find another gear thing? Knuckles lived on Angel Island his whole life and this seems to be his first time seeing one. Knuckles could end up being trapped for ages.
Maybe they end up going to the starfall Islands because the chaos emeralds are being drawn there and then they find him.
Even with all the secrets of the world that Sonic uncovered from traversing the Starfall Islands, one answer still eludes him… what is that strange symbol in the sky, and what significance did it hold to the Ancients?
sonic frontiers: the unofficial third installment of the storybook series? think about it. the art styles (the game’s atmosphere but also the official artwork we got so far) bear lots of similarities, the pose on the (japanese) box art is the same, we may have a new super form again, the main antagonist is a female human (of some sorts) and is not eggman, the story revolves around sonic being seen as a bad guy (his reckless actions put the world in danger) and about him being in a bad situation regarding his well-being (first, little fire thing indicating how many days he got left, then, almost gets murdered by dear Merlina and now glitchy arm). he ends up in a place without intending to and is guided by someone who is likely to betray him in the end.
also, the starfall islands are named after greek gods, so it is somehow related to the past like the previous two storybook games where we had the arabian nights and the medieval times. plus, there was an official (as far as I know) poll back in 2009 that asked participants what would they want the next storybook theme to be. out of the 5 categories, greek myths won :’)
