Star stable is a good video game just ignore how hard I grit my teeth and fight every bone in my body telling me to hate on it bc it’s like, Thee Game for me. No other game js as Star Stable as Star Stable, no other game has taken so much money from my mother because I am a witless fool and for some reason the prices of tack/horses/clothes is rising just like the real life inflation rate so . Idk. I wish there was dynamic heights for characters so Quinn could be 6’6 like she’s supposed to be. And I also want retrofitted tack. And maybe they should like, go back to earlier gen 3 models (American Quarter Horse specifically becuase that’s my favorite model in the game haha) and give them a bit of a spa treatment, like making their manes 3D objects instead of like, paper thin mane textures (specifically the braided hair style, once again bc my aqh has his mane braided and Dirk deserves to look cool) . The Selle Français or whatever they’re called are cool as hell btw easily one of my favorite horses I got a Blu Spy one and a Red Spy one and they’re awesome . The galloping animation is a lil wack but I honestly don’t care bc they’re just such pretty horses and Fast as Fuck (faster than Dirk, at least, and it makes me sad bc Dirk is my favorite horse but I can’t reliably take him on races or champs bc he’s held back so hard by his tack (since a lot of the better tack is more recent and NOT RETROFITTED to him GRAAAHHHGG pls please Pleek sso please . ) at least they’re taking another shot at the Friesian, I really hope it’s what the community wants (I myself have a gen 3 Friesian already but I don’t ride him bc, well, his animations make me wanna kill myself or smth idk). Also I wish that selling a horse netted you star coins, it gives more incentive to buy the newer horses and phase out older ones that maybe players regret buying (I know I have some horses that haunt me bc I bought them for no reason and I don’t want them anymore but keep them around bc selling them is like, the biggest rip off imaginable). Idk. Star Stable is my favorite game. I wish it was better. I like the newer look that a lot of the locations have gotten but also…….. yeah hollow woods is ugly. Steve’s farm is ugly. It’s not that they’re ugly bc I hate the new art style, they’re ugly because there’s a lot of stuff over substance going on. Steve’s farm is kind of, empty. And also no farm has that many trees, what the fuck, horses are so unbelievably fragile everything has the possibility to kill them. It feels empty of things to do and just like, something pretty to look at. Steve’s race is cool though I like it, but I liked the old one better for some reason idk. Probably because of the nostalgia. And hollow woods is just…… why are there so many water features. I understand it’s magical or whatever but like, it’s so hard just to *get around* and *move* and *race*. What the fuck . Idk. Star stable.

Mixed feelings about that update...

Ok, the set is pretty and detailed. The steampunk was a style that was missing so it's nice to have some pieces like that, which seem easily usable with other clothes/tack.

But... It's ANOTHER damn collectible thing. It's a mix between Farah's craft task ( for running everywhere to gather glittery garbage ) and seasonal exchange tasks ( for the exchange part ).

Now my question is: was that worth the wait ?

The reply is NO. Sure the set is nice and learning a bit about Bonnie is good, but the gameplay is so poor, so not new, so not challenging.

I heard people saying that they finished it in 3 hours only, it's really short for something like that which only offers the idea of collecting.

SSO, instead of spamming us with your lessons in morality, just work on a better gameplay, on something more deep. Collections aren't a bad thing, but just running around and clicking isn't funny. It's just boring. Make it less easy, less obvious. Instead of saying "Oh GED and bad people let their trash on the ground, just pick it and bring it back here for a prize", create another situation, use old characters like Kembell who can chase us to prevent us to clean, or use the dark riders as the ones who spread pollution. You can also use a "crafting" idea for the H.O.R.S.E and Bonnie where we have to build it ( like a puzzle made of gears for example ) and create new pieces.

That's the reason why I'm doubtful about the quality of the incoming main quests, it's getting dumb and dumber each time. You can't just make "cute" ( depends on your opinion of course ) designs and forget all the rest, it needs to be at the same level for each part. And by the way, why Gary, a simple seller that you help to save a horse, did have a total makeover while Bonnie, a more important character, is still the same ? You could at least update her design.

Oh and the incoming arabian ? Another horse, sigh ... After all it's all they are capable to make now. But why him when you have more ancient breeds like the selle français or the icelandic horse ? And all the german sport horses ? Why ALWAYS the same breeds ? Like the arabian had a gen 1, then a gen 2 and now a gen 3... Selle français ? Gen 1 and that's all. Same for morab and lot of other breeds.

So, that's not really a flop, but not that great thing you're supposed to work one since a long long long time. I wonder if that thing exists...
