watching Star Trek : The Paradise Syndrome yet again and Holy Fuck HOW DID THIS AIR? I AM SO CONFUSED AT EVERY TURN AND IVE SEEN THIS AT LEAST FIVE TIMES.

First of all, that mind meld scene with Kirk and Spock was HEATED

if someone walked in on me watching TV, I'd rather a sex scene be playing, that would be less intimate and embarrassing. Holy FUCK. I'm not even being the spirk shipper that I am when I say that, I'm being objective (if you don't believe me: GO WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE AND DONT TELL ME YOU DONT GET WHAT IM SAYING)

also:

"is she gonna make it?"

"no Jim, she had some pretty bad internal injuries"

SHE WAS HIT BY THREE MEDIUM SIZED ROCKS. THEY MOSTLY HIT HER LEGS AND ONE TO THE CHEST.

I do love this episode tho- I know I'm screaming at the moment but I do love the Spock bits. Spock having to act as Captain and feeling so so SO guilty. And I love getting different angles to Spock's room. Basically the great parts were Bones and Spock lol. And Bones eventually telling Spock that he shouldn't feel guilty, that Kirk would have done the same thing,

AND SPOCK CANONICALLY LOSING SLEEP AND NOT EATING BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO TRANSLATE THE WRITING AND HE FEELS SO GUILTY. THATS MY VULCAN BOY.

also, (and I don't know how canon these off handed comments are), but Bones describes Spock's blood as "that green ice water you call blood." Are Vulcan's cold blooded???? do we ever know for sure??? cus I SWEAR I've heard Bones call them hot blooded before too, so we can never really know lmao.

In no particular order:

1. DMBJ - PingXie (though fuck Iron Threesome sure is close to eking PingXie alone out 😳)

3. The Imperial Coroner - Main Quad Polycule (Prince An / Chuchu / Leng Yue / Jing Yi)

Ok I haven’t finished the show so I didn’t want to get too into the gifs in case of spoilers BUT this is the polycule that KEEPS! ON! GIVING!

The straight couples are cute but each of them also has SO MUCH CHEMISTRY with their same gender counterpart it’s insane (those are the gifs I’m including but THEY ALL LOVE EACH OTHER)

Chuchu basically sees all of them and spends the entire show rhapsodizing about how hot they are, canonically, out loud, in words

4. Maiden Holmes - Prince Qi / Su Cu

One of the few main hetero pairings I am super invested in

Though tbh they have bi4bi energy so…

They just love each other so much and also believe in each other so much??? And really communicate their needs and expectations?
