anyways i was rewatching the hunger games and its the scene about half an hour in where katniss is alone on the train, and caesar and claudius are rewatching an old game and one of them remarks “one of my favourites, with my all time favourite arena.” it’s something i’ve never given notice to, but as he said those words i realised he was talking v similarly to how i talk about eurovision or even wie is de mol. like i definitely say something like “this is my favourite mol, with some of my all time favourite opdrachten” or like “this year had my favourite winner, and my favourite stage set up too.” and i just realised how well that one line captured the notion of loving a yearly event or show and being a fan and following it, but instead this was all so much darker because he was talking about kids killing each other.
