#sorry if any of perry's part is incorrect intersex-wise
Note
Hey, perry, candace, are you two trans? if so, d'you mind telling us what your journey was/is like? (im bad at phrasing, sorry if this sounds weird, im trans too!)
Both looked over from the soap opera they were watching, Perry automatically pausing it, and they both nodded.
“Yeah, we’re trans. just in opposite directions.” Candace confirmed, playing with her waist-length hair “I realised at about 7, didn’t come out to anyone until 8, though. Obviously, mom accepted me right away, and so did dad- lawrence dad- and Perry once mom introduced them to us.” she continued “As for my transition, i started hormones earlier this year!”
Perry smiled at her “I’m really proud of you, Candy.” he chuckled as she lightly shoved him for the nickname, and he turned his attention back to the question. “as for me, i knew around 5. ‘been shortening my birth name since i could say it, but my parents raised me fairly neutrally until they-” he paused “until lawrence took me in, and he tried his best to do the same, but he didnt know as much about it as they did.”
“I was always a more ‘tomboy’ kid, but i didn’t really come out publically until 10 or so. after that, lawrence helped put me on blockers n’ all that, and i got my first binder at 14, although i relied on my ‘dysphoria hoodie’ until i got the top surgery at 18. Changed my legal name to Perrin at 18 as well.”
“Although,” he went on, “since i’m intersex and androgynous, it wasn’t as easy as i’m making it out to be. i still don’t have a full grasp on my gender, but i’m definitely masc aligned.” he finished.
“That and the person writing this has confused themselves with tryna timeline my transition.” he joked, and Candace nudged him with her elbow “I know, i know, no breaking the forth wall.” Perry chuckled, and they both spoke;
“Thanks for the ask.”
