Please tell the story about meeting Anthony 👀
ok so in philly i was second row center and anthony held my hand at one point and the venue was such that there was no barricade or anything and there wasnt any lighting system either cause it was a church basement, the house lights were off but the lights were on on stage so you could see the band and so those of us in the front were just really exposed like everyone on stage and all of their family members side stage could just SEE US. cringe. im in so many pictures.
but basically after the show i was waiting outside the bathroom for my friends and anthony walked out of a doorway directly next to where i was standing with his daughter and just walked out to the venue like the room where the show happened, this is a REALLY small venue there is only one entrance/exit both for fans and band/crew. and im not even like an anthony stan but yes i have been kind of seduced and charmed by him so i was like omg...anthony green. but i didnt say anything. we went out to the main room after everyone was done in the bathroom and i was talking to some friends of mine in the merch line and he was again standing right there talking to whoever was selling the merch but he was with his daughter so i felt weird saying anything plus there was a ton of people around.
but THEN after that as i was finally leaving i was like walking out and there was a guy handing out fliers for future shows there and i was like 'im not from here' and he was like 'but you came to this one' sDFLSKDFS and i was like walking out but i turned back to look at the guy and i was like 'lol yea thats true!' and when i turned around to start going up the stairs anthony was just standing there. and i was like 😳 😏 'oh....hiiiii' sDFLISJGKSJDF and basically he just said hi and thanked me for singing along he was like 'i saw you all night' and i was like 'thank you!' and that was it we both started walking in our opposite directions cause he was going back into the venue and i was leaving and my friend goes 'HE WANTS YOU' like. LOUDLY. why 😭 i was embarrassed i hope he didnt hear her
and then in boston i was front row and center stage and every single crowdsurfer came directly over my head and at one point he came down to eye level with me and was like ARE YOU OKAY and i was like yea im fine but the funniest part of the show was when he was standing right in front of me and literally. literally he was straddling my head because the stage came up to my chest and my head basically came up to his crotch and he had one leg on each side of me and im sorry but i was just LAUGHING i was cracking up i couldnt stop it was soooo funny. anthony green straddling my head. and also he was like dragging the mic cord across my face every time he was in front of me i cant
and then in brooklyn i didnt speak to him but after the show and after frank had come out and signed things for people, we were still hanging around and anthony was meeting the few people that were left and he was like standing against the building and i was on the opposite side of the car of someone i know like i was standing in the street talking to my friends and i look up and anthony was waving at me lmfao i was like...hi......and waved back....and then when he was leaving i like kind of wanted to speak to him one more time and maybe introduce myself and get a picture with him but i was standing directly next to him as he was talknig to a couple other people i know but i was too nervous to say anytjing lmao i got too shy....so he just walked away but its fine....next tour i will have a real conversation with him i suppose

riot fest happened happened a month ago at this point, and i wrote a majority of this the weekend of but kept putting off posting it. but i still wana rant about what a mess it was especially as it pertained to mcr! heres my list of grievances. all of these are problems that were caused by riot fest, not mcr EXCEPT for one thing which ill start with:
1.riot fest should not have been mcrs one and only chicago date in my opinion. there was way too much anticipation bc theyve havent played in chicago for what, a decade (correct me if im wrong)? people also bought these tickets 2-3 years ago so there was even more anticipation because of that.
the rest of my issues have to do with riot fest and their poor planning. while this was my first 3 day music festival, it is not anywhere near my first concert/fest in general.
2. friday was packed compared to the other 2 days and MANY people were coming just to see mcr, they really shouldve limited friday tickets selling more than they did bc there were just too many people to even try to control. even when i was waiting to enter at the beginning of the day, pretty much 50% of people were wearing mcr shirts, which just goes to show how many people were coming in anticipation of mcr
3. security was off and on. on friday they just waved us through metal detectors, which did not go off even though we had things like metal locks in our bags. saturday they took a peek inside our bags, and sunday they actually went through our bags fully.
4. there was one water station and it was at one side of the park where 1 stage was, quite a walk away from the other 3-4 stages, and it was genuinely easier to just buy alcohol. the food prices and amounts were... a little ridiculous and the lines were awful on friday. ive been to fests before but this was just Something. my brother got 2 small tacos for $10. i got some mac and cheese that was like 5 bites for $7 and a brownie for $5 (which ended up saving me bc it was calorie dense and i could carry it around taking nibbles thru the rest the day). we got those at really good timing really early in the day but later the lines for food were awful so we couldnt get anymore food. i get that festival food is always overpriced, but the portions were just so small to be able to sustain yourself for the fest. i also feel like there just werent enough food vendors for a fest where it says you cant bring any outside food in, altho its possible i couldve felt that just bc there was only 2-3 vendors that i could eat food at bc vegan. add the alcohol to a lot of peoples empty stomachs and it just didnt go well
5. people were packed in the riot crowd section before alkaline trio even started playing on the roots stage right next to it. and i mean PACKED. cant move, cant make space
6. speaking of before mcrs stage even started, riot fest should have known that the crowd needed mitigating when taking back sunday was on the riot stage a couple hours earlier. when the lead singer mentioned mcr, the crowd screamed and he got an alert that the scream got to 106 decimals (from what i heard)? again, a lot of anticipation
7. there was no competing band playing at the same time as mcr (except a 30 min overlap with marky ramone on a veryyy side stage) which made a bad situation even worse. people who felt neutral about seeing mcr had no other band to see instead, so it just made a bigger, more packed crowd. they shouldve had another medium/big name act playing at the same time to at least try and separate the crowds
8. the stage space was way too small for this amount of anticipation, and there were not enough sections dividing people. the riot stage was basically walled in from what i saw, with a barricade front, left, and right, and another barricade halfway jutting out in the back. i dont think people realized how the barricades were set up, so more and more people kept trying to squish in which just packed and trapped the people who were already there
9. the crowd itself was also full of jackasses. i dont know /when/ exactly the shift in vibe took place, but when we saw the descendants just ~3 hours earlier than that one the roots stage, the crowd was completely fine, regular fun punk crowd antics. plenty of space for everyone closer to the stage from what i experienced at that point BUT
10. by the time alkaline trio was playing (band before mcrs set at the roots stage), people in the crowd around me were yelling for them to stop playing so mcr could play, even tho it was alkaline trios designated set time. people really came to a FESTIVAL and treated it like it was just an mcr show, which again, caused way more issues. honestly it felt like a lot of ppl both felt entitled to see mcr and pissed at the same time bc they werent at all close to the stage. just bad vibes
11. getting out after mcr was a nightmare, there was like one exit (i dont know if they even had a different exit open) and everyone was shuffling along to get out of there, it took us maybe 30-45 mins to even get out of the festival gates? i dont even know what would have happened if there was a bigger emergency at that point bc of how big and packed the crowd was, all going the same direction to try and leave

Bandito tour-Nashville
So this is later than usual but here it goes, my experience of the first show after Twenty One Pilots had been on hiatus for over a year.
Getting there:
So i had to work a closing shift that let out at 9:30 on monday but right after i booked it to get Kaylee and then we booked it to nashville. The drive was honestly great. It was so much better than the drive last month and me and K rolled the windows down and blasted Trench. It was so peaceful. Also,  if people heard some of the things we say out of context things would get very awkward.
The line:
wowowowow i actually missed camping out i hadnt done it since TDC. But we got there about 3am and it was so cold!!?!??! Kaylee ended up going to my car to sleep. So when we got there we set up her little brothers tent which was way to small for the both of us but we made it work. But like after 30 mins they moved the line and we were trying to get everything so we threw the stuff in the tent and just picked it up and shuffled our way. About 6am us and this dude named Ryan(?) went to starbucks. It was pretty chill the rest of the day i forgot the other dudes name but i painted his nails yellow and he let us have some duct tape so hes cool. And there were these people next to us that are my new best friends. Me and one of them went to get pizza for them and they let us have some. Despite me shivering the entire time i absolutely loved it. Me and Kaylee got 211 in line until they started scrunching for the show then we got 1163 i think? (163) im not sure how but it was really weird how they did everything. bUT bridgestone was super nice. There was a guy helping set the merch booth and when he saw how excited we were getting about the new merch he said "GA is gonna be blown away" and when they said that it wouldnt open till another 30 mins someone asked if we could still watch what was being put up and another guy said "of course!" then when we got in they made us all get in a line and told us that when we get in to sit down in our spot and they were gonna bring us water bc they didnt want anyone to pass out during the concert. It was so nice and every single one of the workers made it such a good experience for everyone. During the show they passed water around and made us waterfall it so other people could drink it too then near the end they just started handing out the bottles. Ive never seen an arena care so much it was amazing.
Max Frost:
What a dude! I had been listening to him for a tad before the concert in preparation but nothing could prepare me for how hyped he was. I didnt know he was doing everything so that was super cool to watch and uh Money Problems is my favorite and was so great live. Those high notes? He hit them. Love this guy and cant wait to see what the future holds for him.
Awolnation:
Um ok the guitarist didnt have to go THAT hard. i could lay on the ground and be at peace listening to them but i could also mosh like hell. They're super fucking good???? Like idk what i was expecting but they exceeded it. Really wanna go see them again...multiple times.
Twenty One Pilots:
Oh goodness i have so much to say. I didnt know that they could step their game up even more but they did. By a lot. This was my 10th concert and 2nd time seeing them and by far the best show i have ever seen. (Ive always loved fire so this next part is multiplied by like 986) the curtain dropped and it took me a second to see what was going on but when i did oh bOY. Josh was up there lookin like a fierce ass bandito holding a tORCH WITH FIRE. we were on his side second row (pretty much barricade)  so he was super close when he walked toward us i was yelling. tHEN I NOTICED TYLER coming up through the stage oN A BURNING CAR OKOKOKOK. I knew the burning car was gonna be there but that entrance??? Didnt have to be that amazing.but it was. During jumpsuit when all the flowers fell and some of the fans were throwing their own flowers to and it was so breath taking. The transition into levitate was better than anything i could ever do. I wasnt expecting him to do the death drop or go into the stands again but gUESS WHAT????? There are just so many moments and its so hard for me to put it all into words. NATN? My favorite song off the album? The one that means a lot to me? Him walking on a bridge through the crowd during it? I was gasping for air. Pet Cheetah? Incredible. Bandito? Beautiful. Neon Gravestones? Wow i love this song so much because its so raw and powerful and the fact that he put it on the setlist means he wants us to hear it. He wants us to LISTEN. Me and k were a mess. Of course it didnt help that it came right afteR MOTHER FUCKING TAXI CAB ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME. You cant tell me for one second that this band does not listen to their fans. I cant believe i hears that song live wow. Leave the City was one of the songs on the record that i had trouble connecting with because i think i was trying to search to much into its meaning but seeing it live really just made it so special and i found the meaning of it, or at least what it means to me. WDBWOT was amazing as always and when we first yelled Yeah Yeah Yeah he was a little shook. He was not expecting. Idk what they were expecting this crowd to be like for the first show but you could tell by their smiles they were happy with how it played out. During Morph Tyler messed up and later called himself out on it but tbh we all did...we just kept singing with him and when he realized he messed up is when i did lmao and he also looked at josh and said Whoops and thats a whole ass mood. There are so many other moments that im sure im forgetting but if anything was taken away from this it was a little bit of love. Seeing everyone in yellow bandanas and duct tape, seeing myself in that, makes me feel fearless. I keep the term "they cant see yellow" very close to my heart. And i keep the term "east is up" even closer. Seeing everyone in yellow, and hearing everyone say that, none of us are alone. We all have each other's back. And tyler and josh? They have our backs too. Maybe not in such a personal way but they created this. All of it. They created something that has brought all of us together. They created something so interactive we truly feel like we area part of it. They tell the truth about fear and then they bring hope to life. They're Twenty One Pilots and we truly are too.

i had this bizarre nightmare/dream
i honestly don’t even know what to classify it as
all i remember before shit went down was like, some guy, probably like 19 or something. i kept thinking that what lead to everything that happened was that he kept being picked on, and he just reached a breaking point, but i don’t remember for sure.
then came me. i was in my school’s gym for some reason, sitting with other students, but they seemed to have been scattered out. like no one was sitting close to each other. i was sitting next to a friend of mine, and me and him were talking about whatever. but then, through the gym doors, i saw my gym teacher let in that 19 year old i mentioned before, and a bunch of other kids that was his height. they all walked towards the front of the stage, like the side we were all facing. our gym has like a huge stage that opens up to the music room.
but something was definitely off. i saw that all the people that were coming in were wearing orange ski masks with weird designs on them; and if i remember correctly, they were of cat faces or something. but then i noticed that each of those kids were holding this one strange object; it was thin, not too long, and had another rod poking out of it. and they each had these weird orange yarn that were knitted all over them, to hide what the objects were. if i’m correct, i think they were made of the same material as the masks were.
i had no idea what think of that, and i didn’t really have time to anyways, because the gym teacher was about to do some presentation for us. what it was about, i could only guess. but i couldn’t help but stare at all the masked students and what they were holding, and i don’t think my friend could either. but the knitting on the objects didn’t cover up enough of it, because i realised that they all were holding guns. i froze for a split second, and in a panic, i went down to whisper what i saw to that friend i was next to. he was like, “wait what?” or something like that. but for some reason, the teacher seemed to have heard what i said, though i was whispering and did it pretty quietly. maybe he read my mind or something? i don’t know. after he somehow heard what i had said, he was like “it’s not gun, now please settle down” or something similar to that.
he then went and presented one of the guns. and by that, i mean he was holding it up in front of the room, though it still had the orange yarn material wrapped all over it, which is why the other students couldn’t notice. but then, i don’t know if this really happened but, one of the masked students slowly started to turn her head to me. i knew i had to get out there right fucking now. i don’t remember how, but i think i like crept over to the other side, and suddenly, i was near the exit. at the side of the gym, there’s a small hallway that leads to the door that you use to leave and enter the gym. i was near where the hallway started when i heard a loud banging noise. they were starting to open fire. i immediately started going for the door, knowing that everyone was about to die in the hands of that weird 19 year old boy that doesn’t really exist in real life.
so i got out, turned right, and went for the school’s main hallway, only to see that to the left of me, were more shooters wearing orange cat ski masks. i have no idea what lead to happened next but, i was suddenly sideways, on the floors. i jumped on some weird white box-like things, that slid rapidly towards the shooters, and tripped them.
i ran quickly into the school’s main office, where all the staff there were freaking out, having no idea what was happening. i ran straight to the principals office, and somehow, he seemed to know everything that was happening. but then (i don’t remember if this happened but), he charged towards me. i think he was trying to keep me from escaping. but he ended up accidentally running out the door to his office. so then i barricaded the door, and sat by it for a minute. i heard gunshots and shrieking and the worst sounds that are beyond describing. i think i remember frantically calling 911 constantly while i was in that room
after a quick minute, i looked out the window. and to the far left of me, i saw some weird jeep in the center of the parking lot. i saw what i could only assume were all the shooters, going inside, with their masks and guns in their hands. i remember identifying another one of the shooters but i really don’t remember for sure.
soon after, i opened the window in the principals office as wide as i could, i throw my backpack out the window, and then myself. i got up, put my backpack on, and started running. i reached the parking lot, and i saw the jeep with all the shooters driving off. that’s the last i ever saw of them. now that everyone was either dead, injured, or in that jeep, i had nothing left to do put walk over to a fence by the edge of the parking lot, and call home for someone to come bring me home. after that, i just walked a little more, and eventually sat down on a bench. all i could do now is, wait.
the dream ends there.
