Okay okay i don't know when i'll be able to write this fic, but au where after sol 2781, Jaxon realizes that he doesn't want to be military because that's not where his passions lie.

He takes a permanent civilian sabbatical, and after months of arguing with clan council, he finally gets their go ahead to found the Jarra Tell Morrath Foundation. It's a non-profit organization with the sole aim of advocating for the rights and wellbeing of children with Immune Syndrome.

With the backing of the extremely wealthy Tell Clan, they never have to worry about funding, and they act as whistleblowers for the corruption of Hospital Earth's board of directors.

This news takes the galaxy by storm, and when interviewers ask Jaxon what his motivation was to start this foundation and why he named it after his grandmother, he tells them that it's actually named after his baby sister. He tells the world how he had failed her, how sorry he is, and how even if he never gets to meet her, even if he never earns her forgiveness, he will spend the rest of his life trying to make things better for her, and other people like her.

Jarra is 11 years old, and every other girl her age starts dreaming that maybe they're secretly Jarra Tell Morrath, and that when they turn 14, they will be warmly and enthusiastically welcomed into the noble Tell clan.

But Jarra is bitter and angry, because she knows there's no way that she's Jarra Tell Morrath. Because Hospital Earth never lets its charges keep their birth names. So she stays silent, and seethes, and secretly dreams about a world where she could be loved as deeply as Jarra Tell Morrath.
