Aha, indeed. I voted by mail a couple weeks ago for 2 (two) school board races and a couple of statewide ballot measures, which may seem like small potatoes but are, yknow, directly relevant to where I live, the amount of tax money I will get next year, and so forth. EVERY ELECTION, EVERY TIME.

I likewise just made a post about it, but if they are in fact calling KY for Beshear with improved margins from last time (2019), then abortion rights will probably pass in Ohio and Virginia can be kept safe from Youngkin. Or so we fucking hope. If we can get some actual hard data, maybe the idiots flooding the zone with garbage polls that show Trump pulling 22% of Black voters and Biden only ahead of Trump by one point with voters under 30 (all together now: LOLOLOLOLOL), can shut up or at least not get constant breathless media attention for a bit. Plus I am old enough to remember how the narrative in 2011 was all how Obama was going to get crushed by a generic Republican (oh Mittens, how we long for the days when we thought YOU were the worst the GOP could do). Then he won handily with 332 electoral votes. It's almost like the media has a vested interest in running a Horse Race narrative and beating down the Democratic candidate every time. Weird.

hello! with the first chapter of stuck in your throat out, and the holiday season being more or less over for me, i have decided to do a wip weekend again! so force me to write and hopefully i can start posting chapter two before the end of january :D

to celebrate the end of 2023, i’ve decided to do something a little different than a regular wip weekend.

rules:

“How was work?” Steve asked, leaning against the wall as Robin shed her outter layer.

“Ugh, I swear, if Diana comes in one more fucking time, I’m gonna climb over the counter and stab her with a spoon,” she seethed, toeing off her converse.

Steve snorted, rolling his eyes, “What’d she ask for this time?” he asked, knowing that it was about to be the stupidest shit.

“She asked me if we served fucking Frosty’s,” she hissed angrily, which only increased Steve’s amusement.

“You’re not We—”

“I know we’re not a fucking Wendy’s,” Robin huffed, stomping towards the kitchen, Steve following behind to listen to the rest of whatever happened. “She knows we’re not a fucking Wendy’s, but her reasoning was that we serve milkshakes, and, really, how different from a milkshake could a Frosty be?”

Steve watched fondly as Robin ranted, knowing she needed to before she could let it go and move on with her day. He was content to wait her out, even as she moved on to rant about a different customer that had annoyed her.

“What’s new?” Eddie asked, sitting at the bar. “Why is it so empty? Usually by this time in the day, the market is filled with people.”

Chrissy’s happy demeaner faded at the reminder, her gaze sliding behind him to peer out the windows at the front of her shop. Eddie’s ears twitched in concern, lowering slightly.

“What is it?” he asked warily, feeling his wings shudder at the sudden unsettled feeling.

“A human was spotted just east of the village,” she told him, body stiff. She focused single-mindedly on the batter, adding the next ingredient.

Eddie froze, eyes wide as she stared at the back of Chrissy’s head, convinced he had misheard her. She definitely didn’t just tell him that there was a human all the way out here. They weren’t over a lightyear away from the planet that humans called ‘home’, but they were definitely far enough away that humans were something of a legend.

“Tell me I did not just hear you tell me there is a human on L’idxa.” Eddie said flatly, staring a hole through the back of Chrissy’s head, willing her to make the amused chittering noise she had been making before he’d asked.

I love Laughing at Tradgedy. It honestly is one of the better pics I have read in a while. I love it when the animatronics are given a more human side but also shown to be capable of inflicting harm. My favorite part of this is how you decided to focus on the perspective of an animatronic. Especially Lolbit, a character who has only appeared in a few games. Honestly it makes me want to write my own fanfic about Lolbit. Of course, I would have to sit down and do it if it would ever get off notepad! In any case, hope we see the next chapter soon. Also, I think it would be cool to see your take on Shadow Freddy and Bonnie alongside Funtime Chica. Those three animatronics have vastly different appearances but are also interesting in their own right.

But I wish I could add more things into the fic, with all the animatronics we have in the roster it just would be so bloated lol also have a hard time writing with a very big cast (cuz I want to make sure everyone at least has something to say)

They are interesting and I had to make sacrifices to make sure the plot stayed on the track I had planned. With this being the last chapter, I hope none of you are disappointed on me not adding certain characters/animatronics

Aw you're very sweet... Genuinely I just keep going lol I'm glad it's enjoyable for some people,

I've had this idea cooking in my head for a while about the narrator going on a cruise... it feels very perfect for him and I also have a decent amount to Say, I feel like. I'm tempted to make it half cruise half hitchhiking across Florida. Florida is like... Everything that makes the narrator want to blow up buildings, I could see Tyler treating it like a pilgrimage. I don't live there anymore but I love and loathe it you know? So much of it is a shell of something that barely ever existed, crushing any bits of what did, it's sort of enthralling in a dark way. You get places like New Orleans, the gentrifiers are wearing and jerking off to flanderized culture like a skinsuit and willfully slumming it to fit their aesthetic, but over in FL that culture sometimes never existed in the first place, or always was shoved to the side for a tourism puppet. And they're never going to slum it, you're going to get six figures riding on a center council and claiming kinship with commercial castnetters. All sorts of things that would send the narrator on a fucking trip, for sure. I'm tempted to hit him with a hurricane.

Currently I think I'm going to have his boss give him a cruise vacation as pacifying reward for detailing how 'one' might shoot up the office. And then I might have Tyler seduce him into a bender in Key West. Lots of things to be suckered into there. From there, I don't know. We'll see. I'm not sure when I'll actually get to sit down and write it, unfortunately
