part of hypstage’s appeal is its originality and i am loathe to see that go away but i think they do know how to cook with the canon material since bb vs dh stage was incredible!!!! so i’ve been thinking up ways to keep the spirit of both and came up with

there’s a lot in the manga that’s only in the manga and they can adapt that (tho nagosaka doesn’t have those bonus character/lore developing stories ahahaha) (but there is dawn of divisions content for sasara and kuukou)

maybe they intend to have the stage run congruently with canon instead of like a half season or so behind, so we get the drama tracks, the stage fleshes them out and the manga wraps it all together later down the line

we get completely new stories that are intended to be a part of canon and it’s up to us, the nerds, to figure out how it fits in canon (chaos for the nerds lmao) 🤔

Kuko having memory problems/true mic side effects would be an interesting way to get BAT worked into the main plot of HypMic while giving them something unique and interesting since Sasara doesn't seem to share the same problems. Its almost opposite of my own theory. I had guessed that Kuko would be revealed to have an immunity to the true mic. He almost broke the control when it was used on him but succumbed again due to his own insecurities (which have yet to be addressed). This is the reverse, that something went wrong with Kuko and he is actually more vulnerable instead.

like saaaaame, i really really wanted sasara and kuukou to both have their hawkeye moment where they both just don’t get affected by the true hypnosis mic anymore despite attempts lol 😫

a little bit back on this blog, there was a conversation about why it took nemu so long to break out of her hypnosis and it was likely because she had been separated from samatoki, her closest and strongest bond, and any reminders of it were/are missing (the aohitsugi bracelet). at the time, i got really curious about how sasara broke out, since i assumed he and rosho hadn’t spoken until the dh debut drama track, and kuukou got out of it because of his father but i wonder??? 🤔

if sasara did break out of it fine with no lingering effects, then presumably, it would be because of rosho or maybe more precisely, his partner, since when sasara started to fight back, it was because he didn’t want to lose his partner (and sasara still knew that rosho was still living in the same apartment and that he never changed the lock lol so maybe that was rosho’s first time seeing sasara in eight years, but not sasara’s first time seeing rosho)

so then how did kuukou break out???? the mcd/nb chapter shows the truth in what they were saying as white text bubbles like the above. with kuukou, his was

lol so i wonder if sheer force of will/mental fortitude snapped him out of it, like ramuda had said. but to have lingering side effects could come from him not having reminders of a strong bond like sasara did around him which likely would be ichiro given the true hypnosis started to weaken once he had to think up something he hated about ichiro.

all this to say maybe we can still get true hypnosis mic immunity kuukou if he fully repairs his relationship with ichiro or he elevates his ‘family’ relationships to hold the same power 🤔

so in regards to the bat charm, esp in the hella awesome banquet mv!!!!

the tag itself is called ofuda, a protective talisman!!! there are many different types of ofuda (omikuji are also classified as a kind of ofuda for instance) and throughout the hella awesome banquet mv, we do see the bat charm used as said various types!!!!

here in these two shots, we see the bat charm used as a senjafuda!!! senjafuda are these talismans with personalised designs that, once upon a time ago in japan, were passed around in secret councils like trading cards. ofuda typically have a deity written on it to call for luck, wealth, health, whatever said deity presides over. senjafuda, however, tend to have the person’s name on it and when people would go on pilgrimages, they’d stick the senjafuda on temple shrine gates like a very decorative ‘we were here’ tag lol

fits with the journey to hell narrative that seems to be happening in the mv!!!

and this type of ofuda is known as fuin no ofuda!!!! this one is used as a type of seal to keep evil, vengeful spirits enclosed and away from humans. the more powerful the spirit, the more seals are required to contain in the enclosed space. it’s already a little worrisome to see imagery of kuukou getting killed but this puts a evil spirit/vengeful spirit spin on top of it 🤔

My thought was that Nemu was already sympathetic to the party of words pre-brainwashing. She started voicing her distaste for Samatoki's violence after being kidnapped with Jiro and Saburo. I got the feeling she started researching and agreeing with party of words ideology during that time and that made the brainwashing way easier.

in a different timeline nemu just would have been radicalised rather than brainwashed and would have joined the party of words on her own instead of the true hypnosis mic putting her there and we would have seen a different form of the same conflict between samatoki and nemu pan out but whatever lol

so like it stuck better because the initial reason was one she agreed with unlike sasara and kuukou’s?? that’s not bad either!!! 🤔

I keep thinking about the talk about Sasara & Kuukou's mental strength vs. Nemu's from a while back and it made me realize. What if the latter two snapped out of the mindhack sooner than her because they went back home? Back to where they knew people and the surroundings were familiar.

Meanwhile Nemu was thrust into a strange new place with nothing recognizable to her. We don't even know what happens to her bracelet. She snaps out of not long after that confrontation with arresting Samatoki, right? That was the first time she'd seen him face to face in two years. What if being around him again after so long is what helped her? That the distance from him is what impeded her breaking free.

i used to get really upset that it took nemu so long to break free from the true hypnosis mic since they said the effects wear off faster the stronger one’s mental strength is. that implication that nemu wasn’t as mentally strong really drove me up a wall lol and eventually i reasoned it’s not as much mental strength but also experience with hypnosis mics; so sasara and kuukou who spent quite a bit of time in battles built up some resistance that eventually helped break them out of it.

but the 6 colours track i think supports your conclusion far better than what i thought up!!! we see ramuda sasara and kuukou snap their old partners from succumbing to the true hypnosis mic because of their bonds with them. so maybe if nemu hadn’t been taken from samatoki, she would have snapped out of it much sooner 🤔

Do you think Jyushi is still in high school? Or not? Because I've been seeing a lot of characters outside of Hypmic being 18 and still in high school

i’ve wondered about that a lot myself lol but i eventually came to the conclusion that he isn’t 🤔 i lean towards jyushi’s 18 and graduated since jyushi does occasional touring with his band, and even tho arb isn’t canon lol, he’s had part time jobs which schools in japan try to prohibit so students can focus on their studies

but all of that is pretty shaky ground lol for all we know jyushi may have dropped out after middle school like kuukou lol
