Just watched Uncharted and I really enjoyed it. It’s like National Treasure except instead of Nick Cage playing a disgraced historian/treasure hunter, Tom Holland plays a dorky, history-obsessed pick pocket and instead of getting a girl at the end he gets emotionally attached to his asshole partner in crime.

#the found family between Nate and Sully is so good. #It’s like #Sully isn’t truly a ‘mentor’ because he doesn’t really teach Nate anything. Nate’s already a nerd and can fight and is a thief #so the main theme isn’t Sully learning to be a mentor or parental figure or anything. it’s about him learning to care about people generally #and Nate’s arc is about the opposite. he’s too trusting initially. #so they’re really good foils for each other #there’s not one but TWO hot ruthless asshole women #i will say though that the women aren’t as nuanced at Nate and Sully. #which is a little fair since it’s Nate’s story but I can understand why it would bother some #anyway it wasn’t as good as National Treasure but it was fun and Nate is a cool protagonist #uncharted #uncharted movie #tom holland #national treasure #nick cage #nicolas cage #ghost posts from their box #movies #film
