Lost my second game of yarn chicken in one evening. This is fine.

#it's the stupid fucking thing I am making for work #(and no it's not finished yet get off my fucking back) #I ran out of the cream first when I was 10 sc short of the first row of the border #and the shop is actually out of that shade and I know for a fact it hasn't been reordered #so I had to snip bits off my tails and get to the end one stitch at a fucking time #and now I have run out of the yellow yarn 28 crab stitches shy of the end of the round #which isn't as big if a deal because we still have the yellow at work #but ugh #annoying and not a great cap to a very upsetting day #my manager was like 'What happened to the crochet? Just bring in whatever you have done and finish it at work tomorrow' #just as I was leaving today #so I finished sewing the last seam this evening and got (most of) the horder done #the plan being that I was letting on that I just had to weave in ends #but I guess the new cover is that I ran out of yellow and forgot to book another ball out of stock #but y'know #whatever #this fucking display will probably last longer in this workplace than I will #I want to set it on fucking fire #not least because I have had to have it in my fucking lap for hours this evening #during a fucking heat wave #werq bitch
