I was thinking about your Dexter lives AU again bc I like it a normal amount and had Thoughts on Hollow Sorrows and how Dexter could factor into it, so:

Instead of Michelle asking "Patty" for help to her appointment, Moloch overhears Dexter and Michelle behind him: they still got lost. Dexter blames it on the lack of staff.

Using Patty's voice, he offers to lead them to the right place, but Dexter, recognizing those yellow eyes, politely declines as he tries to usher his mom away

Moloch insists, stepping closer to the two, and with Michelle confused why Dexter isn't accepting the "help", Dexter decides there's only one thing to do:

He picks up his mom, and books it down the hall, Moloch giving chase soon after

OMFG HE JUST GRABS HER AND RUNS, THAT'S SOMETHING HE WOULD ABSOLUTELY DO. In a way it parallels that moment in Deadly Smiles where Lila just picks up the kids and RUNS OFF down the hallway.

He'd manage to easily pick up his mom too, he probably has some very strong arms due to having to carry his exterminator backpack around all the time. He just tries to stall around for time, and looks for some safe place to leave his mom in, before deciding to take on the demon himself

I've had the idea of Michelle possessing a Cheery Gal ever since HS released I am SO glad someone else had the same idea

Did the scar over the eye appear at the same time Michelle possessed the doll, or was it just a convenient accident?

The doll's eye was already broken, the doll was staying by the trash because someone had thrown it away. It was a very convenient fit for this poor mother's soul that was just roaming endlessly around town, looking for her son.

I should also specify that Michelle is absolutely NOT a threat despite being basically a ghost. There might've been a first couple seconds where she was uncharateristically violent, but on her defense, she was confused and freaking out. She's still a very nice person, she and Regan bonded almost immediately over them both having missing relatives. Now Regan has something warm to hug when she's cold during the night.
