SlaDick: classic enemies to lovers. they may try to kill each other half the time but they respect each other more than anyone else. OBSESSED with each other, Slade knows he's weird about Dick and couldn't care less but Dick is so in denial about it. they could both give explicit consent but be so antagonistic about it that it becomes unclear if "yes i want to have sex with you" is actually code for "die right now" and i think that's beautiful.

SladeTalia: they fucked! in canon! there was some bullshit plotline where Talia tried to give Slade Damian and pretend he was his son instead! ex fuck buddies who show up just to make each other's lives harder bc they wanna fuck so bad it makes them have stupid brain. also they're both hot as hell. i'm weak for big strong milf/dilf idk idk.

DickTalia: LISTEN TO ME. TALIA WOULD TREAT HIM RIGHT. THEY BOTH KNOW HOW EMOTIONALLY DEVASTATING IT IS TO LOVE BRUCE. LISTEN TO M- ok aside from that. Talia is someone who tried so hard to be good, to choose to be kind. She loved Bruce because she saw how hard he tried to do good in the world. Her character has gotten considerably colder over time, in huge part due to a certain writer writing about her despite knowing nothing about her, but in universe i try and rationalize it as a growing cynicism stemming from both her father's gradually increasing cruelty and Bruce's failure to support her or commit to her or to even just respect her. She hasn't been shown to have very many people in her life who she can really trust and be close to. She used to have a good relationship with Ra's, she used to have Bruce, she's even lost Damian at this point. She feels like such a lonely character to me. And I think Dick would be able to see that, be able to understand it better than most. He's always had people who loved him, people he could turn to, but he's also ended up perpetually isolated for one reason or another. Dick and Talia both feel to me like characters who are so lonely the further they get in their lives. I could see a silent understanding there. The kind of people who would be able to find solace in simply sharing a space with each other. Neither of them like to talk about what they've been through, I think they'd like to have someone who just gets it. Trauma for trauma, you know?

SlaDickTalia: several angles available here.

1) Dick deserves some sexy older lovers who would wine and dine him and also rail him within an inch of his life and also kill for him. i am not immune to the aesthetics!! to the allure of a hot older duo double teaming their young spitfire partner!!!

2) corruption arc. u know u wanna.

3) Dick's fear of abandonment x the 2 most devoted people on the planet. if they were dating nothing bad would happen to Dick again, Slade and Talia just wouldn't allow that. smth smth, couldn't get rid of them if he tried <3

4) Bruce would hate it and that's always fun :3 not that that's hard tho, Babs is like the only one of Dick's partners that Bruce liked and that's bc he wants to keep it in the family.

5) healing.... sobs...... esp when it comes to feelings around parenthood. Those three have shit to work out and i think having some company would help.

6) They all need more people time but 2/3 of them don't get along with anybody so they're kinda stuck with Dick. that kid will forgive anybody if u bat ur eyelashes and behave well enough. He's also more likely to still see them as people despite everything they've been through, and when you're a military experiment and a semi immortal daughter of an immortal terrorist... It can be hard to find someone who looks at you like you still have a chance at humanity.

7) Slade and Talia playing a Cat Vs Dog type game with Dick in the middle. I think it's funny.

heehoo heehoo. Dick holds most of the hinges but that is not saying much. Theyve got some bdsm dynamics going on that Dick's flock of detectives wishes they could un-deduce. Eccentric globe trotters who always manage to get involved in some sort of conspiracy wherever they go. They live a life of violence and luxury and i love that for them. The kinda bitches who stay at a 5 star hotel one day and camp in a literal ditch the next.

Damian would be. So grumpy. Dick and Talia call Slade "Uncle Slade" specifically bc it makes dami do his cute grumpy expression where he puffs up his cheeks. Mom & Mom & Mother Fucker.

Rose would be a bit less put off by it. Like she already knew Slade and Dick had some homoerotic tendencies. Talia is a surprise but she buys her things so she's not gonna complain. Also the whole situation annoys Damian which i think she'd enjoy. He's a lil bastard and she gets to laugh at his pain.

Dude you got me hooked on the dynamic now, Sladicktalia grabbed me by the throat until I wrote something!!! Slightly nsfw snippet ahead:

Dick swallows uneasily as Deathstroke pushes him to his knees in front of the armchair Talia Al Ghul is lounging in. The slit of her dress leaves little to the imagination, especially the golden dagger tucked into the lace garter around her tan, muscular thigh.

“Bruce raised him, I just- I just was there for him as well.”

She takes a sip of whiskey before reaching for a sleek looking lighter. “Don’t be so humble, Richard. It doesn’t suit you.”

Dick wipes at his bloody nose with his bound hands before plastering on his signature smirk. “Yeah, well he turned out to be a good kid, obviously got that from me.”

Her painted lips barely quirk as she holds up the lighter in his direction. Nightwing’s been so focused on Talia he nearly forgets about the threat at his back.

The mercenary presses up against him fully, leaning forward so Talia can light his cigar. Slade isn’t someone you should ignore, but Dick’s known him long enough to receive special privileges.

Deathstroke puffs on his cigar and runs a familiar hand through the kid’s hair that makes him freeze. Sure, they’ve fucked a couple of times, but it’s always been covertly, their little secret.

Dick clears his throat, trying to focus. “Why am I here, you don’t seem the type to hire Deathstroke to do your dirty work, Talia.”

She leans forward, her breasts nearly falling out of her dress, and her pointed slipper easing between Dick’s spread thighs. Talia nods at the man behind him.

Slade’s breath is hot on his nape as he leans down. “I caught you for free, little bird.” He whispers in Dick’s ear while freeing his hands with a knife.

Talia’s foot brushes his crotch, the mercenary still a solid wall behind him. “You see, Slade and I were just discussing our conquests, you happened to come up.”

Dick tries not to react to the beautiful woman caressing him. His mouth feels dry, desperately trying to wet his lips, trapped between the two gorgeous, living weapons.

“All good things, I hope.” He says, his voice weaker than he’d prefer.

“Only the best.” Talia assures, gently but firmly grabbing his chin between her thumb and index finger.

Slade’s hand still buried in his hair and her’s directing his gaze upwards, Dick feels entranced between them. The mercenary bends down to catch Talia’s lips passionately above him.

Dick can’t help but harden under Talia’s foot, watching the two of them make out above him, their tongues flashing as quick as swords.

They break apart breathlessly, both of them looking down at Dick with lust blown pupils. Slade chuckles lowly and kisses up her jawline to speak quietly in her ear. “I told you he’d be into this.”

Talia hums amusedly in response as she straightens, “So, Richard. Slade told me that you are quite the giver…”

She unzips her dress and stands to let it fall to the ground, leaving her in nothing but her shoes, garter, and dagger. Talia sits back down as regally as ever, spreading her legs invitingly.

“Why don’t you crawl over here and show me.”

i think about them forever and ever and ever. theyre iconic and powerful and i love them. thank u for inviting me to rant about them.

one unavoidable part of it is that it Will make Bruce angry. and like, real emo. he's being cucked in several directions and no one even cares about how sad that makes him. ideally Dick has gone "ok ive had enough of this guy" and pursues what he wants without worrying about what Bruce will think, but you could also do the whole song and dance of "oh i love them... but what will Papa think??"

oh oh!! my self indulgent canon divergence!! so Talia trying to bring Damian back to the league after she sent him to Bruce in the first place makes Absolutely No Sense to me so I've decided to ignore it. that said i like to imagine her dropping by during the D&d Batman & Robin days.

i actually have a random prompt in my drafts about Talia visiting Dick and him assuming she's here for Bruce and/or Damian related reasons only for her to be like. we're having dinner together. do you want to go with the Fancy Reservations place or just grab something normal people eat. i like them.
