Skyrim glitch (Dragons hiding among men and mer??)

So I get attacked by this orc, except the dragon combat music kicks in and this orc starts Shouting at me?? And he keeps alternating between shooting at me with a bow and using Fire Breath! I'm thinking, "what the absolute fuck is this glitch?" But anyway I kill him.

And then I start absorbing his soul. You can also see that the NPC is just called 'Dragon.' So I'm sitting there, wondering if I'm actually getting a dragon soul from this orc. And sure enough, I do.

Instead of turning into a skeleton he lost some of his armor which had me cackling. Not sure if anyone else has ever had a glitch like this. I told my friends about it and was met with utter confusion.

In the meantime, I am using this glitch to further justify my headcanon that dragons in The Elder Scrolls should have the ability to polymorph.

I hate Delphine as much as the next Skyrim player, but she certainly has a unique way of holding her torch! XD

No idea what caused this glitch, I don't think it's a mod, as I only have 7 mods (basic quality of life mods and a few extra weapons packs) installed.

I have returned. But for once, it's actually about gameplay and not lore.

So you know how you need to take the Nightingale oath during the Thieves Guild quest line? Well, I have been plagued with a bug that causes Karliah to walk away and leave instead of opening the gate. Do you happen to know how to stop that from happening? Or if there's a mod available on PS4 to fix it?

I attempted the solutions I found when I looked it up, but most of them were ones I couldn't utilize or just didn't work. One of them (the "keep running into her until she turns around and then wait an hour" one) actually just ended up getting Karliah stuck behind the gate, making the situation worse.

Oh no I had that glitch a few times!!! It sucks!!!! Sadly I don't have a fix for it other than restart, revert to last save, or just not complete that quest and have it (and Karliah) haunt you forever.

I am a PC player so I don't know any mod solutions for it. But one way to prevent it I found is to talk to Brynjolf stopping him from getting ahead of Karliah when she goes to open the gate, that seems to stop her AI from thinking "ah yes I must wander the world for all time".

Honestly, I shouldn't be surprised anymore by this game.

By the fact, I just found the Daedric prince of debauchery in a fight with two apprentice mages, and he was losing.

He also has NPC dialog, I love this game.

If anyone out there can help, I've got a gamebreaking bug in Skyrim.

It's one of many bugs that affects the Proving Honor quest, in this case it prevents the quest from being completed properly. Essentially, Vilkas refuses to stand outside Jorrvaskr and wait for me, and the rest of the companions dont gather for the initiation ritual. The quest marker points to Skjor and talking to him is a dead end.

It's happening on the Switch version, so no console commands. I've looked all over the internet to find any way to fix it. Nothing helps. I've slept in Breezehome for 24 hours, waited outside Jorrvaskr for 12 hours, walked from Dustman's Cairn to Whiterun, reset my bounty, hell I've even reloaded to a save before joining the companions and completed the quests that apparently conflict with it before redoing the whole damn thing. Nothing. Works.

I have a lot of questions about this glitch. The most pressing is obviously how i can fix it, or alternately whether it can even be fixed. Ive tried everything i can find online barring giving up on the character. It's my boyfriend's save, and he is very against the idea.

Other questions i have include: What is actually causing this? I know there are mods out there that fix it, which must mean someone out there knows what causes it.

When does the glitch happen? It seems to be happening well before the questline even begins, at least in this case. Specifics would help me gauge how far back to reload if possible, or so my boyfriend knows what not to do with future characters.

I know this is a known bug, and it doesnt seem to have any documented fix for once it occurs. I have some experience with Skyrim's bugs, but this one is a serious doozy. It feels like all the methods ive tried are just troubleshooting methods rather than ways to fix the bug when it happens for real.

Thanks in advance. I've never experienced this one on my own saves, but it happened literally the first time my boyfriend tried the questline and that's just so frustrating, especially because he did it on my recommendation.
