I drew a design for the #Skoolie water system and went to our hardware store. They are very helpful there, but this time I got the guy who was 2 days away from retiring and I really started to wonder if he shouldn’t have retired sooner! We explained what we were doing and I started to get impatient because he didn’t seem to understand at all. After what looked like some wasted time while he kinda looked a little lost, he took out a notebook and pencil and drew a different design. It was my design- only simplified! As in - lots less expensive! I could have kissed that old man right then and there! He DID understand, he just didn’t look like it! LOL! We came home with all the gear and I started cutting everything and dry fitting it together. I ordered another 6 gallon tank on Amazon because we had already bought all that were available here in town. I put it all together and it looked pretty good. Then the Mister came along to use the heat gun to get the curve in those pipes and he glued it all together. I did all the clumsy stuff, he did all the finesse work. So we are close now but everything is kind of on hold until he finishes the stone counter top. Oh, and this weekend he installed the fridge and cabinet so it won’t move around when the bus is in motion. That turned out to be more complex than I expected- what can ya do?! So hopefully soon the water tanks with their valves can be tested to see how well it will actually work for life on the road.
