Do you have any Tang parenting MK headcanons?

OH ABSOLUTELY.

I am certain he read kid friendly versions of JTTW to MK when he was a kid.

I like to think he was the one to give MK his current hair style, they use the exact same hair gel even.

I like to think he buys MK all kinds of new art supplies as a kid and, like Pigsy, was incredibly supportive of his art.

Pigsy makes the best noodles, sure, but you know who makes the best congee? TANG. He would make it for MK every time Pigsy or MK was sick so it's a comfort food for him.

99% sure that Tang is responsible for at least 25% of MK's humor.

Tang is the one to give the most physical comfort to MK when he's sick or sad, while Pigsy tries to talk him through it logically with solutions. They're a good team.

If MK calls Pigsy calls "Dadsy" then what fatherly names he'll give to Sandy and Tang?

I actually had a convo about Tang and MK and dad names and the idea that MK calls Tang "Mr. Tang" because he TRIED to call him dad or pops and ti felt wrong is so funny to me.

But Pops is what I like to imagine him using if he does use one for Tang. (And, of course, this led to Hop Pop in my bunny Tang fics.)

For Sandy... Hmn... The first thing I thought of was Boat Dad and it's so goofy that I am going with it.

Favorite Black fictional characters for Black History Month?

I'd be happy to just say a bunch of characters I like whenever! But man. I may have too many? I'll pick 5 off the top of my head.

First off, Virgil Hawkins (aka Static Shock). Specifically the one from the 2000s show, but I haven't seen a Static Shock that I haven't liked yet. He's a genuinely GREAT hero, a nice guy, and also. Genuinely funny in this show.

Barret Wallace from Final Fantasy 7. I adore how much he cares for others, and also he's just the coolest guy in the game to keep in your party because of his dialogue. His relationship with his daughter is also SO SWEET.

Martha Jones from Doctor Who. SHE. DESERVES. BETTER. SHE DESERVES HER OWN SHOW. I loved Martha. I wanna rewatch the episodes with her because she not only bounced off the Doctor so well but also stood amazingly in her own character moments.

Red and Adelaide from Us. Lupita Nyong’o is a PHENOMENAL actress and this movie is genuinely anxiety inducing, just. If you like horror and haven't watched this? WATCH IT.

And Wyll from Baldur's Gate 3. Listen. I don't want to spoil anyone for his story. But he is underappreciated in this fandom I have enacted vengeance on everyone who has wronged him in the game. His VA also did a great job and I have GOTTA hear him in more stuff.

That is one of the cutest things I have ever heard.

It would take a lot of time for him to get used to their brand of normal, but once he realizes they genuinely care about each other and him and this is all FUN to them and they're all in on it?

He would have a lot of fun living with them. I can see him actually getting more comfortable with the idea of scaring people around them because these are people who WANT to be scared.

About that update I mentioned in my last art ask.

I tried to shade him. Wonder what he's mad about.

Okay, the scene i had in my head when I first sketched this was him going feral, Sydney style (crazed hissing, relentless attacks, dripping caustic venom from claws and fangs) because someone picked a fight with the spiders while they were trying to have a normal outing in the city.

This looks fantastic! You really did a great job of getting all the colors down properly and getting some good shading on his head and his on his clothes. The style is also really really close!

Now that they (and by "they" I mean mostly Hunts) grew to care about him how do you think Goliath and Huntsman now feel about Syntax losing his humanity?

I think they wouldn’t think too much about it at first, since Syntax seems happy enough to be a spider.

But then they notice how he has to wear his goggles every time he is outside or is in front of a computer (the change "fixed" his eyes to the point he has severe photophobia, meaning his eyes are extra sensitive to light and strain easily).

They notice how he longingly looks at coffee (caffeine acts like alcohol to spiders, which means... no more brain go go juice).

They notice how he wishes he could go to shops without being seen as a threat because people know how face from New Year.

They notice how he looks at his college degree, old photos that are in storage, and wonder how much of his past life he misses.

And they start to wonder how much of his old life he lost to join them... because he did not join willingly, and they know it.
