I have recently been reminded of how much I used to love the Ethics Committee/Mildred so here are some more headcanons. as usual they were all made in conjunction with @imadewritingmyjob

-She’s TRYING to get into Site 17 but the personif has a literal allergic reaction to her/the director keeps throwing a fit and also APAS means you can’t report shit if you can’t remember it (Site-17 Deepwell Catalog)

-Two subcommittees for anomalies and personnel stuff. Personnel stuff is just HR. Mildred’s first (lesbian) relationship was with the chair of the anomaly subcommittee.

-The majority of people on the Committee do not, in fact, want to be on the Committee, but she prefers it that way. She doesn’t really have any attachment to her role; it’s just what she needs to be.

-Omega-1 is somewhere between a subavatar and a lower avatar for her. He operates mostly as an extension of her but the two do butt heads sometimes. He’s basically the version of himself in the North Star series, a detective who owns tanks only as a last resort. And also poison.

-Mildred’s currently with RAISA because I like the head/heart dynamic and besides Site-1 (who neither of them like) they are each the only person the other doesn’t have to lie to. It’s long-distance because RAISA hates leaving Site-7 and neither of them has the time anyway. Mildred tops.

-Site-1 tried to start something with her when they were younger but she was not having it.

-Habit of seemingly appearing behind people without warning. She just walks really quietly and is also slightly antimemetic.

-O5-0 from SCP-6500 is her father. They’re reunited in Emissary. Mildred’s the one advising Vanguard on the task of Who Was Just Evil Because it Was Their Job and Who Legit Wanted to Throw Those D-Class into the Meat Grinder, and he uses her resources in doing so. She got out mostly unscathed with the change of command but has mixed feelings about not working behind the scenes anymore—sometimes she thinks her task’s been diluted by needing to consider how she and her new upper avatar will be perceived, but she also really likes being taken seriously by said upper avatar. Ira despised her.
