in my canon jules only met aleena when they were like younger teenagers because he was trying to catch a frog. no i am not kidding

scales the wall of some castle on the edge of the forest because that’s where the frog went and oops there’s a girl here

of course if a random boy shows up on your balcony in the middle of the night it’s kinda startling but once he showed her the frog she was like oh! cool. and thought he was funny and cute because of course she did. how could you not like a silly boy with a frog

he goes home and tells a young adult chuck that he met someone and he’s like “oh really” and when jules tells him he does a double take because YOU SCALED THE CASTLE WALLS FOR A FROG??

jules has many qualities but common sense is not one of them. then again he’s married and chuck isn’t so-

Summary:

Hidden away deep into a dark forest which no one dared tread through, there was a mansion, abandoned and empty, with not a slightest touch of life anywhere to be found.

But once looked deeper, one would notice the moving dishes and talking antiques, whispering to one another about a curse that bound them in that state and turned their master into a raging beast, a curse that was casted on everyone who lived here because of a mistake.

A curse who's only cure lies within the beast himself, if only someone could find it and make him see.

Chuck always wears clothes in public to hide his battle wounds. He really hates it when people stare at them. He only doesn’t wear clothes/short sleeved shirts at home or around family.

Speaking of wounds, they hurt a lot sometimes. He usually takes hot soaks in baths to help with the pain. And does have medical weed but only smokes it occasionally a certain little brother who smokes usually finds them

The man loves coffee and chocolate. He usually has a little stash of chocolate at his work desk. Nigel likes spoiling him with the stuff.

Despite seeming fat and lazy to some, he is incredibly strong and actually pretty fit. If he needs to fight, he will fight! The only way to really defeat him is to bonk him on his head. The dude got a layer of muscle under that fat so he’s powerful and soft!

His quills are mostly in a ponytail and very messy. He’s just to lazy/tends to forget to make them neat. Nigel always makes sure to get them neat and will even brush them himself.

Finally, Chuck wears his wedding ring on a necklace just incase he accidentally loses it while working.

Not an ask: I am enjoying your Jules headcanons

i'm glad!! if you have anything you're curious about my perspective on feel free to ask!! he's a very good dad and i love him very much. here's some more! it got a little long lol

it's canon that jules was the first roboticized person, but in archie it was chuck who did it as an attempt to help. in my thing there's no involvement from chuck, so it's all eggman. jules got shot in a vital area while running from the invading swat bots trying to steal their children and got captured. he would've died if he weren't roboticized, so they can't really change him back, plus he's had too many repairs and part replacements over the years for it to leave him in a functional state

while foreign metal in the (de)roboticizer won't make it explode, it won't be turned back into organic material since it didn't have an organic counterpart to begin with. maybe it could guess with smaller bits like bolts or wiring, but it would probably be a bad idea to do that to someone who's likely had a good amount of his robo-guts replaced. the machine can only do so much

before he was a robot, jules (and his family by extension) were generally unremarkable. yeah he was athletic and surprisingly strong, but he didn't have powers. all the magic stuff his kids have came from aleena! her family is very involved with magic and it sort of became part of her, passing on to her children. sonic got his speed, sonia's got enhanced strength, and manic...

well... manic takes after his father

he really is the runt of the litter, but that's okay! he's got his own skills, and with his hoverboard they would make a perfectly balanced sonic heroes team

jules' full first name is julius. it stems from julianus, having latin roots meaning "father" and "young at heart", so i think it's pretty appropriate for him!

jules really has a lot of fatherly qualities, and he wants to do the best he can for his children, or any kids for that matter. he doesn't really know what he's doing, but at the very least he tries to not only be supportive but actively enthusiastic about everything his kids do, and he will readily adopt whatever friends they bring over into his little family unit. it doesn't matter how old they are, they're getting adopted. he treats shadow and scourge like part of the family as much as he does tails. family reunions kinda chaotic

jules is the youngest of four, and chuck is the oldest, so chuck pretty much raised him. there's a 13 year age gap there, so by the time chuck was ready to forge his own path, jules was like... 7. unfortunately mom died kinda early and dad was too broken from manual labor to do much on his own, paulie was pretty much running the farm, and bernie was kind of a wild child who took care of herself, so... yeah. off jules went with chuck. though not the best situation, they turned out okay (even if a younger jules annoyed the hell out of a younger chuck)
