Make a 24hr poll listing the titles of every WIP you want to work on. (It's fine if you only have one, still make a poll for the vote count)
Tag anyone you think might also enjoy this game (No pressure of course)
Whichever WIP title gets the most votes, write 1 sentence for every vote received.
If somehow that completes the fic or reaches the end of a chapter, move to the WIP with the second highest votes and continue where you left off on your sentence/word count. Repeat until you reach your goal.
(Optional) Share what you wrote in a new Tumblr post with a link to the poll or in a reblog!
nobody tagged me. I saw @sparklyslug going rogue and decided I needed to break myself out of my birthday-induced malaise by attempting to apply external pressure on my writing process.
If you feel like this is a post you should be tagged in? Guess what, you are. Do the game. Do it now.
Sid Carter's grandmother was Father Brown's parish secretary before Mrs. McCarthy, and he went to stay with her whenever his parents' fights became violent (which was often). This is how Sid and the Father first met.
It’s so interesting that Sid is so loved by everyone in Kembleford. Because like… he’s a petty criminal, sleeps with everyone he sees, drinks all the time, and always puts his nose where it doesn’t belong, yet everyone loves him. And Sullivan is the complete opposite. He’s the perfect man/citizen for 1950s society (besides not have a wife a children), yet he seems to be “hated” by Everyone. Hated is a strong word but I think u get my point. Idk it’s just a really interesting dynamic.
"Broken Base: Series 10 saw the replacement of three cast members: Sorcha Cusack (Mrs. McCarthy), Emer Kenny (Bunty) and Jack Deam (Inspector Mallory), were respectively succeeded by Claudie Blakley (Mrs. Devine), Ruby Ray-Martinwood (Brenda Palmer) and the returning Tom Chambers as the newly-promoted Chief Inspector Sullivan. Some were charmed by the new characters and delighted at the return of Sullivan. (Mallory had proven quite a divisive character amongst fans.) Others were irritated at the loss of three of the series mainstays all at once, and did not take to the new cast. Some even view Sullivan's re-appearance as a cheap attempt to lessen the blow. And a fair number of viewers regard the romance between Sullivan and Mrs. Devine as forced, unbelievable, and distressingly chemistry-free".
yknow when you've enjoyed something for ages but never really seeked out the fandom or checked for fic or anything, but the very moment you do you find a ship you didn't expect to be quite so good and now that's all you can think about?

Summary:
Sullivan had to suppress a gasp when he realized the last man taking communion was Sidney Carter. First, there was the fact that he was taking communion. Then, there was the silver peppered heavily amongst the light brown hair. And lastly there was a thickness around his waist that hadn't been there a decade ago when they had last met.
The year is 1977 and now Commissioner Sullivan has returned to Kembleford to say a goodbye and hopefully a hello.
