To Grow Plants, Shinichi Imanaka

I like to shuffle different images together to create a feeling or narrative, which is also created by the viewers. When I was commissioned to make an illustration depicting a boy standing in front of a fig tree, I was also thinking about what to paint. I thought it was a good idea to start with some images that I was already engaged in on a daily basis, so I started this piece with a boy on the right and a fig tree in the background. Later I added other elements one by one as a personal mythology develops.
