I am rather selective, so there is quite a number of things that will make me iffy about following. First of all, I am someone who writes long posts and I have no love for one liners. That is probably the first thing I check for in new blogs and often the main reason for not following back. We all write shorter things every once in a while, but if a blog ONLY writes one liners, I just know we won’t go well together. I cannot put my character’s feelings, depth and thoughts into three lines and do her justice and I just prefer another form of writing. That is in no shape or form anything personal, but my main exclusion criteria I feel. Other than that, the usual reasons apply: content that is questionable ( eg sex with minors, extreme abuse/gore/sexual abuse etc ), a page that doesn’t prove the necessary information about the character ---- stuff like that.

I have indeed! It happens very rarely & I can’t say it happened in this fandom before, but I know I once killed my chara in a group verse bc I wanted to stop writing her and that definitely was quite emotional, after having written her for 5 years with the same group of people, because it wasn’t only the end of an era, but all characters were extremely affected by the loss and it was just wonderfully angsty xD

Oh dear, there is so much you should put out there for newbies, so they don’t run head first into misery. First of all: have fun. Don’t let others tell you what to do, or how to write the character you love. This is a hobby and you should enjoy it foremost, screw everyone else. Second: be suspicious of people! Unfortunately, the internet is full of liars and drama queens, so always keep a healthy amount of good judgment and suspicion when getting close to people. Don’t believe everything they say, don’t let them drag you into drama, try to make your own opinions about people and don’t listen to others. Especially, never let anyone tell you who to rp with, or not. That is not for them to decide. Third: Your speed of replyin doesn’t define the quality of your content. This is not a job, but a hobby. Don’t feel pressured to be super active and force out replies, because that will ultimately kill your muse and love for writing!
