This might be a big post just so I have everyone all in one place im going to reiterate what I said for Donnie

Donnie: Identity/Depersonalization

When Donnie's first introduced Draxum doesn't even consider him a person, and hadn't even given him a name. And then, later Donnie's got too many names to choose from. That alone would cause someone to have an identity crisis. Personality wise, he enjoys making tech, but aside from that, Donnie is never sure of which emotions he should be feeling, or what his likes and dislikes are. A lot of the time he's mirroring how his brothers are emoting, or he's just smiling to cover up the fact that he doesn't know or trust his own feelings. Future Donnie will have a horrible time with depersonalization after merging with the Technodrome and the Kraang, which will cycle around to impact present timeline Donnie during the movie.

Mikey: Worth

While Donnie was treated like nothing, Mikey was treated like an object/accessory by Big Mama. When she threw him into the Nexus, Mikey imagined it was something he did or didn't do well enough to meet her high standards. After he's reunited with Splinter and Raph, Mikey finds the little roles that neither of them have filled very well, such as cooking, and cleaning, and makes sure he excels at them almost obsessively out of this fear that if he's not useful, then he will be discarded. Future Mikey works tirelessly as the only brother with his mystic powers still intact, to the point that his body is so overworked by the time of the movie, he looks like he's moments from shattering apart, only held together through his own force of will.

Leo: Doubt

Leo has lived his life being ordered around and having his memories and personality altered. Even once he is free, his emotions are almost as erratic without Kitsune's influence, than they were while he was under her control (at least until his own cleansing ritual). His instinctual gut reaction to use most violent tactic first, clearly makes his family uneasy. So when Raph tries to get Leo to act as co-leader, Leo is very hesitant. He doesn't think he should be trusted with such a responsibility, but learns he can trust if he goes too far, his brothers will stop him. Future Leo has a really hard time with raising Casey. After Raph's gone, Leo doesn't trust any of the decisions he's now having to make solo, and he certainly doesn't think he can be a guiding force for good for a young child. Casey needs a teacher who will shape him into a strong warrior. Leo learns as Casey grows, that being the boy's Sensei is not the same as being his Master.

Raph: Regret/Guilt

Raph blames himself for almost every horrible thing his brothers and father have gone through. He's recounted the night that Leo and Mikey were taken, and gone over it a thousand times in his head, trying to work out how it could've gone differently. All the amazing things he's done by bringing his family together--being the stable bedrock that they can grow into a true family under--none of that feels like it'll ever make up for the times in the past where he failed to protect them. Raph takes on the job of shield because he wants to make sure nothing else ever hurts his brothers again, and doesn't care if hurts him instead. Future Raph is constantly putting his brothers' lives before his own. Unfortunately, doing it one too many times results in a devastating loss for the Resistance, when their Leader sacrifices himself, and the chain of command practically falls apart for months before it can recover.

Introducing Lita May!

I’d originally introduced Lita to my patreons, but Ive now changed a lot of her backstory (and design), because I was struck by inspiration at like three in the morning, (and was getting fomo from all the other absolutely adorable turtle babies I’ve been seeing)

So we all know Donnie created a mech body for Raph thanks to concept art, but in this AU, I feel like Donnie would be juuuuust morally questionable enough to think creating backup clones first would be a good idea. He wasn’t expecting the small bits of Krang tech he had to incorporate to have such a huge impact, tbh he wasn’t even really expecting anything at all—which is also why he used his own DNA for the trial run, and…since Donnie wasn’t expecting a success, he was pretty shocked at the final result.

Donnie was also only able to observe the first month and a half of “incubation” (tube not egg), but was, unfortunately stuck at another resistance base for so long, when he returned, Lita May had grown a substantial amount and was ready to be removed from her tube (he was back for like two days before she started opening her eyes and reacting to stimulus). She took three months total to grow.

Raph and Leo kinda don’t really know how to react to her. Leo immediately clocks the Krang characteristics and is pretty furious. Raph is just confused, but when Donnie fills them in on the origin of Lita’s birth, Raph’s not too happy either. Neither one takes it out on Lita. Donnie does get a pretty severe talking to. Mikey, Timothy and Cass are so excited, and April is beyond shocked to be named the godmother. The family keeps Lita a secret, but it’s evident that she’s got some Krang in her, and they all know that the other members of the resistance might try to hurt her, and ask Renet to take her. Casey loses his playmate, but he does get to see her every few months.

She’s kept in the dark about her family’s future, and is pretty mad at Renet for not warning her of her anything, and she eventually gets sick of the secrets.

He would’ve loved to be 😬. Timothy was pretty excited before Donnie told him Renet was taking her. And unfortunately, Tim only got a few visits with Mayday before he died. Donnie was pretty wrecked for a while after, since that mission was also where he lost his arm.

Ok- So no doubt that Leo lectures for 3.5 business days about Donnie and his irresponsibleness in messing with Krang DNA, but I feel like the minute he thinks no one is watching his soft side is coming out for that baby.

Oh he’s definitely an over protective uncle. Probably even more-so with Lita, than he is with Casey, because at least he has a hand in making sure Casey has the knowledge he needs to survive. With Mayday, he’s kinda forced to give up the reigns in her training. But he loves her, even if he seems a little stiff and distant. Though, later down the line….Lita is a little resentful towards Leo and Mikey that they let things get so out of hand—even if logically she knows they couldn’t have foreseen things ending the way they did.

Does Donnie or Leo ever bring up how they match now after Donnie's ritual? Like one of them joking how they're even more twins with the matching facial marks?

Donnie loves that they match. Leo enjoys it too he just wishes Donnie wouldn’t be so maddening about it.

Also some extra! Venus’ original markings are orange circles like Mikey, but because of all her replacements, she lost a lot of them. So Donnie figured, if he could draw on his eyebrows, why can’t she have some fun as well?

@otakufanclub So Lita May only really gets speed and claws from her krang dna. Her physical characteristics are the probably the biggest clue as to her Krang connection. If she didn’t have that, then she probably could’ve flown under the radar with the other stuff.

@kiaxet Lol she loves her shell, and she’s not a big fan of the cloak she gets later, cause it covers her back. Also since she wasn’t technically raised in an apocalypse, she’s never needed a battle shell. And her personality is pretty close to canon Leo so this means she loves posing to show the hearts off.

Wanted to sorta do some tentative updates to Donnie and Mikey’s future AU designs. The boys are around mid 20s here. Eventually, by the time he bites it around age 39, Donnie is more than half tech. Which will lead to him devising some interesting backup plans in the event of his death. (See spoiler movie post if you wanna know more!)
