🌻⛅🌩 friends like siblings, friends of circumstance, friends with trauma.

honestly if a-yeong can put up with this feral prodigy and vice-versa i think they have a good chance of really bonding! i remember and no pressure, do whatever you feel is best on it, with his reply he’s already encouraging her in his...edward elric way ? he’s brutally honest and won’t hold back for anyone. but beneath that is well, the ‘unmatched heart’. sadly i really don’t know much about bleach i think i watched some of it and some concepts i get but then i went uh what.

 but as long as she doesn’t coddle someone as capable as him and he vice-versa they really won’t have issues . he can be snarky, tactless and arrogant, but he’s also full of self-loathing, ‘how much trauma can we pack in this kid’ and excruciating compassion to others even if its veiled in a grumpy face / veiled .

 a fierce loyalty and selflessness even if edward probably denies all the insane  good in himself due to what he did at eleven, ringleading alphonse into human transmutation that ultimately was like ‘killing’ him in ed’s mind. plus his mother’s death and his father’s abandonment of him and you have one very very traumatized and broken prodigy alchemist.

so much he keeps to himself, and there is pride, a lot justified with his skill and genius, but also a lot people should smack him with like winry’s wrench. i feel like she could be a good grounding presence? i need to get to know her but i know once they’re in each other’s corner she should be prepared for a brother friend that is willing to sacrifice first, bear first, and hide emotions first. and then she can go ‘bet’ and they argue about it. 

honestly i feel like...these two are gonna cause each other a lot of worry and soft LMAO? but ed will support and be a good friend to her. the not-idiot can’t seem to realize he has a heart of gold and is ultimately far more ‘too selfless for his own good’ than selfish . i’m curious to see where their journey goes and i know he’ll have her back. 

though i do know if ed ends up as a soul he’d deadpan be like. ‘wow god actually took me. incredible.’ then again he did beat up god so that would be some wild contradiction that honestly? i don’t get much about bleach but i can adapt with...a teacher?!? and / or other verses and whatever you feel and i feel we’ll figure out along the way! sound good? thanks for sendin’ this in and sorry for the wait! have a good day and stay toasty!
