Night at the Museum was released in 2006. The first country to legalise gay marriage was the Netherlands in 2001, followed by Belgium in 2003, Canada in 2003 (first ruling, national was 2005), and (for the first ruling) the US in 2004 (2015 for a national ruling).

NATM was so real for giving us a Brokeback Mountain reference in the FIRST MOVIE IN 2006. I know technically they never confirmed that Jedediah and Octavius are gay, but they really put a reference to Brokeback Mountain in a kids movie in 2006. We're still trying to convince people that being gay is okay and it's not inappropriate for children to see it, and they did it in a beloved franchise in 2006.

Honestly? Every time I think NATM can't get better, it does.

I re-watched the 3rd NATM movie last night and to this day I still don't know why Larry kissed Dexter (a CAPUCHIN) TWICE. (Final?) Secrets of the Tomb thoughts :)

After all my grinding and hard work the past few days...

I did it :)

I have Vyn's card as well (spent money but not half as much as I have before on other cards... hint, wait 'til the last days and use those deals, besties!!!) and finished the exploration and all the side quests.

The tutorial of this event like... it wasn't clear to me what each of these "places" were for...

(The museum was for seeing the items you collected, the tomb was to access exploration, the market was for using the coins things you got from exploration, the bottom bar was to access the map and main event story)

Maybe I'm silly but I didnt understand how much work there was until this past weekend. So I almost decided to give up.

Along with the writing/translation errors (see a previous reblog) and missing information or unclear info... it was kinda a rough story.

And the fact that none of the new NPC's had darker skin. I know some Arab people can be light, but I don't think (albeit fictional) Egyptians are? The lack of even an attempt is what really bothers me.

Altogether, I liked the components! I liked exploration, the items we discovered from it, the invitation we can get, etc etc. I liked the mechanics of the 4 locations in Khamit and the challenge of exploration (altho I had a map for where the exits to next levels were, god bless). I really, really loved the art. I'm excited to read Vyn's card and understand why he's all dressed up.

Tl;dr, the Secrets of the Tomb event is equally interesting/pretty as it is frustrating. And that's ultimately not a good ratio.

As we get the survey, please be respectful but firm in the things that bothered you or things you noticed about the event! I imagine yall had a better time than I did with the exploration but overall there is probably something for everyone to let the devs know about. Remember, respectful, but firm. We are the ones content is being made for, so we do, hopefully, have room to be heard. But the people making said content are people who deserve respect.
