Little Soldiers
-song by the Crane Wives
-fanfic by The Crazy Husky
No. 6
(Drums: Impulse)
Apparently, Joel had caught Ren and Martyn lip-locking.
Impulse seemed to be upset that not only Tango and Etho did not acknowledge him, Skizz stayed away from him most of the time. Pearl had also managed to get an actual wolf as a pet (named Tilly) and keeps it in her room. Jimmy (with the broken leg) was finally out of the infirmary and had crutches.
Pearl later broke his arm.
Scott was wandering around the base when he saw BigB and Pearl playing with a frog. They were squealing about how funny and cute it looks, then they began discussing how to breed them to scare Tango. Scott had no idea what they meant until Pearl stabbed one of the baby frogs with a blunt tooth right in front of Tango, and he kept his distance from the two for the rest of the day as they went around scaring people. It wasn’t long before BigB actually murdered the frog in front of Grian and Martyn and scared them really badly. They later revealed it was a toy and the real frog was in an enclosure.
Impulse then had the idea of singing Little Soldiers for the Treebark Duo, as it was Ren’s birthday coming up. Pearl did agree (in the terms of Impulse making another frog dummy for the pair to murder) and had practised the lyrics. Scott sat this one out so the latter only included Pearl, Gem and Impulse.
Scott sat in the audience as Ren and Martyn was pushed on the floor (Ren sat on his cape bedsheet) then watched. This time, everyone gathered to listen. Scott had also hidden all the birthday supplies and was waiting patiently for them to finish then ambush Ren. He’d told almost everyone (with the exception of Martyn) so they all knew what was coming up.
“~~~” She began playing with Impulse on the drums. “On the broken backs of all the words we spared, like little soldiers in the trenches.” Gem started, taking in the fun of music. “It was a march we made towards ruin and despair but we held hands all the while.”
“I swear that I loved you, I swear that I loved you.” Pearl sung. Gem joined in and vocalised, “I swear that I loved you. I swear, I swear~” Scott especially enjoyed it when they play together. With Pearl not constantly trying to kill anyone, and Gem not chasing random people around and trying to break their legs, but then he felt guilt swelling in his belly.
“Beneath the table you would offer up my bones, and all the dogs would lick your fingers.” He thought about Impulse. It wasn’t earlier that Etho had told Scott that he thinks Impulse had left TIES to join them, but Scott replied with he’s just trying to meet more friends. Since then, Impulse and TIES had been in a lot more arguments that usual. “And I dragged you through every room inside our home, but you still held me at night.” Speaking of unwavering loyalty…
“I swear that you loved me, I swear that you loved me,” the song reminded him of back when he was still in the Flower Husbands group with Jimmy, when Martyn and Ren would run around and act like drama queens. Then there would be Scar and Grian, who is definitely worth mentioning. Those two are basically soulmates in every way shape or form. “I swear that you loved me. I swear, I swear,” Gen was going at it at full, with Impulse enjoying his time with the girls. Lizzie and Etho sat together by the back, apparently muttering about Joel or something, because her husband whipped around and dove at her, causing her to yelp.
“We didn't give up, we wouldn't dare surrender. It was an honest loss,” Scott heard Impulse’s voice for the first time. The girls seemed to know like they rehearsed it. “Now the aftermath will ring with songs you've sung, all of our words sent home in boxes.” Grian eyed Martyn as he gripped Ren’s hand tight. “I fought with tooth and nail before the flag had flown, but you were already gone.” Ren cringed at that verse but said nothing.
“I'll swear that I loved you, I'll swear that I loved you, I'll swear that I loved you. I swear, I swear.” Gem sounded like she really and finally enjoyed something for real. Scott’s fingers drifted over to a button hidden from sight. Tango and Mumbo gave him a thumbs up. “I'll swear that I loved you, I'll swear that I loved you. I'll swear that I loved you, I swear, I swear~”
As they came to a close, Mumbo nodded and Scott pressed the button. Immediately birthday decorations popped up from the ceiling and Tango showered Ren with confetti. “Happy Birthday Ren!” Everyone yelled. Impulse, Gem and Pearl abandoned their instruments and went over to congratulate.
Ren seemed shocked. He felt so surprised he fell over on his back. Martyn giggled and stepped back. “Best party ever,” Ren breathed, and Grian giggled. Tango and Mumbo did a victory dance for successfully setting up the deco.
“Dogwarts!” Pearl laughed and waved the red and white flag. Martyn, who seemed confused and shocked at the same time, staggered towards the wall and stayed there, breathing heavily. “Yo what,” he gasped. “You gave me a heart attack.” Scott laughed, patted his back and smiled. “I understand.”
Suddenly Martyn’s whole body jerked and he collapsed on the floor. Scott tried to help him up, but he wouldn’t budge and instead muttered, ”Summer falls, destruction calls. The sun’s gaze, the moon’s raze, star of forgiveness, running sands of vengeance, the Earth and its loneliness. Come together in a single piece, or shatter forever without peace. The eyes watch, may not interfere. Crimes among the stars, the outcast among others. Paid by the unforgiving sea, bought back by the singing moon, or the hourglass continues falling.” Then he fainted.
Scott knew it. The Watchers are actually intervening. And he knew exactly what will happen.

Gregory Peck and Jennifer Jones in Duel in the Sun (King Vidor, 1946)
Cast: Jennifer Jones, Gregory Peck, Joseph Cotten, Lionel Barrymore, Herbert Marshall, Lillian Gish, Walter Huston, Charles Bickford, Harry Carey, Tilly Losch, Butterfly McQueen. Screenplay: David O. Selznick, Oliver H.P. Garrett, based on a novel by Niven Busch. Cinematography: Lee Garmes, Ray Rennahan, Harold Rosson. Production design: J. McMillan Johnson. Film editing: Hal C. Kern. Music: Dimitri Tiomkin.
This is a bad movie, but it's one distinguished in the annals of bad movies because it was made by David O. Selznick, who as the poster shouted at moviegoers, was "The Producer Who Gave You 'GONE WITH THE WIND.'" Selznick made it to showcase Jennifer Jones, the actress who won an Oscar as the saintly Bernadette of Lourdes in The Song of Bernadette (Henry King, 1943). Selznick, who left his wife for Jones, wanted to demonstrate that she was capable of much more than the sweetly gentle piety of Bernadette, so he cast her as the sultry Pearl Chavez in this adaptation (credited to Selznick himself along with Oliver H.P. Garrett, with some uncredited help by Ben Hecht) of the novel by Niven Busch. Opposite Jones, Selznick cast Gregory Peck as the amoral cowboy Lewt McCanles, who shares a self-destructive passion with Pearl. Both actors are radically miscast. Jones does a lot of eye- and teeth-flashing as Pearl, while Peck's usual good-guy persona undermines his attempts to play rapaciously sexy. The plot is one of those familiar Western tropes: good brother Jesse (Joseph Cotten) against bad 'un Lewt, reflecting the ill-matched personalities of their parents, the tough old cattle baron Jackson McCanles (Lionel Barrymore) and his gentle (and genteel) wife, Laura Belle (Lillian Gish). Pearl is an orphan, the improbable daughter of an improbable couple, the educated Scott Chavez (Herbert Marshall) and a sexy Indian woman (Tilly Losch), who angers him by fooling around with another man (Sidney Blackmer). Chavez kills both his wife and her lover and is hanged for it, so Pearl is sent to live with the McCanleses -- Laura Belle is Chavez's second cousin and old sweetheart -- on their Texas ranch. It's all pretentiously packaged by Selznick: not many other movies begin with both a "Prelude" and an "Overture," composed by Dimitri Tiomkin in the best overblown Hollywood style. It has Technicolor as lurid as its story, shot by three major cinematographers, Lee Garmes, Ray Rennahan, and Harold Rosson. But any attempt to generate real heat between Jones and Peck was quickly stifled by the Production Code, which even forced Selznick to introduce a voiceover at the beginning to explain that the character of the frontier preacher known as "The Sinkiller" (entertainingly played by Walter Huston) was not intended to be a representative clergyman. There are a few good moments, including an impressive tracking shot at the barbecue on the ranch in which various guests offer their opinions of Pearl, the McCanles brothers, and other things. Whether this scene can be credited to director King Vidor, who was certainly capable of it, is an open question, because Vidor found working with the obsessive Selznick so difficult that he quit the film. Selznick directed some scenes, as did Otto Brower, William Dieterle, Sidney Franklin, William Cameron Menzies, and Josef von Sternberg, all uncredited. The resulting melange is not unwatchable, thanks to a few good performances in secondary roles (Huston, Charles Bickford, Harry Carey), and perhaps also to some really terrible ones (Lionel Barrymore at his most florid and Butterfly McQueen repeating her fluttery air-headedness from GWTW).

What I write, who I write, and what you can request!
Hi! This is where I have info on what I write, who I write, and what I am comfortable writing/what you can request! If you have any questions feel free to ask me!
What Maverick writes…
I write fanfiction, oneshots, and imagines, and headcannons!
These will of course include age regression or pet regression in some way, wether you the reader are a regressor, or a character is.
I will write for the fandoms/characters I have listed below. If you want a different character and don’t see them down there, you may ask if I will write for them but I won’t make any promises.
What Maverick is comfortable writing…
This is a 100% SFW blog, so no NSFW writing at all. I’m not comfortable doing that for age/pet regression.
I am perfectly fine writing relationships like dating or being married, with hand holding, cuddling, kissing, etc etc. But I will not do smut, kinks, or heated make outs.
Basically just cute fluff is what I’ll do!
I can write the following:
Âge regressor reader or character
Pet regressor reader or character
Caregiver reader or character
Fluff!
Dating/Married
Platonic! (Like just friends and stuff like that)
Poly relationships
Male, Female, and gender neutral readers!
I will usually write in second person point of view that way I can use ‘you’ instead of y/n.
I write a mixture of genders for
“Y/n”, I write male, female, and gender neutral that way everyone can hopefully enjoy my writing!
If you make a request and do not specify gender for “y/n” then I will just do gender neutral by default.
I will always specify before each writing piece what gender “y/n” is, and give a little summary of what the writing plot is! I will also try to put any warnings there too, so if I miss anything just let me know and I’ll add them!
Fandoms/Characters Maverick writes…
Here they are! Again if there’s a character you specifically want but don’t see then feel free to ask if I would write for them, but I won’t make any promises.
If you don’t see a fandom on here you can ask if I write for that fandom but it’s likely I’m either not in it or I don’t write for it.

No. 4
(Electric Guitar: Gem)
Pearl sat with Gem on the roof, watching the sun set, listening to the soundtrack The Fool in her Wedding Gown on her headphones.
Gem tinkered with her electric guitar next to her. “What are your thoughts on that artist? You play their songs real well.” She asked. Pearl paused halfway through the song Icarus and glanced at her. “Yeah. Scott and I…we listen to them so much we basically just accidentally hardwired most of them in our head.” She put down her headphones and looked at Gem’s guitar.
“I heard from Grian that you three basically mocked Scar the entire time you guys played, what was that? Oh yes, Metaphor.” Gem said. “Can you play electric?” She handed her the guitar.
Pearl looked at it, stunned, then cleared her throat and said, “Sure, why not.” She thrust the guitar back to Gem, grabbed her own began strumming several chords to tune the musical instrument (which Gem was sure she’s going to break) and opened an app for scores. She found one for Gem and started playing.
She began plucking notes. Gem joined in, following suit. “Go on, stack the cinder blocks in a cold sweat,” Pearl sang slowly, while Gem continued, her notes full of uncertainty but she remained determined. “Build yourself a citadel, amid the foothills of regret. And though you convinced yourself, you’re safe and sound within. The thing you fear the most never need get in,”
“‘Cause you’ll miss the sun, the warmth of another’s embrace. You’ll need room to run, and something to chase, and that thing you fear will hoax you out of that unholy place.” Pearl pressed down on the strings tighter, and Gem could feel her getting hurt by the song. “As all you ever wanted is an escape.”
“Those of us who vow to never love again, to love again,” Gem muttered. Pearl made drum sounds by gently tapping the guitar. “Are making liars out of honest men,” Gem could see Pearl breath in hard, ready to join in with her. “It’s not something that you put to bed, hang your head, and just forget. No, love don’t know how to rest,” they half sang, half muttered together.
“No, love don’t know how to rest~” Gem, following the score, began to draw more confident notes while Pearl’s notes began fading. “~~~”
“Darling, when you’ve tired, you will see, there is no safe place, no sanctuary. It’s all just child’s play, a game of hide and seek,” Gem sang, while Pearl’s voice became silent. “Don’t make it harder than it has to be,”
“Those of us who vow to never love again, are making liars out of honest men. It’s not something that you put to bed, hang your head and just forget, no, love don’t know how to rest. No, love don’t know how to rest~” Gem took up the vocals, while Pearl played her guitar louder to take over the music part. “~~~”
“Here’s the truest thing I’ve ever known, the heart is just a muscle with a rhythm of its own. It doesn’t stop when you decide not to move on, the heart knows nothing of your love and loss.” Gem continued, while Pearl sung in a tiny voice.
“So life just keeps on ticking by, compelled by instinct. And love’s the only thing worth being alive for.” Gem had nearly stopped playing her electric guitar, and quickly tried to keep up the pace. “And love’s the only thing worth being alive for.”
“Those of us who vow to never love again, are making liars out of honest men. It’s not something that you put to bed, hang your head and just forget, no, love don’t know how to rest.” Pearl seemed so compelled by the song she was basically sobbing. ”No, love don’t know how to rest~”
“It’s okay, it’s okay.” Gem tried to sound reassuring, but Pearl seemed lost in silent tears. “~~~” As soon as the latter finished, Pearl buried herself into Gem’s clothes. “I’m useless,” she muttered. Gem placed a hand on her head and muttered, it’s alright. I get Tilly.” She put down her guitar and leapt off the roof.
The silence was deafening. Of course it is. Pearl’s head echoed with the lyrics. That wasn’t even her song. Then she was suddenly stuck with a thought.
What if Gem played with us?

Cave with good environmental conditions
It's the classic background thing it's the motara nebula (or as my phone suggests Mothra Nebraska) and totally not the Bisexual nebula.
Epilepsy warning apparently.
Perfectly cut scream "Ah"
He's wounded but still sparky like master kohga in totk.
What would happen if you were to set the genesis device into just space with nothing to hit?
How many rads is spock realistic getting hit with
There's a triforce in the room with spock
Put spock in the corpse wiggler
Spock sacrificed himself for the good of the people.
But how many rads was he hit with? How many rads can a Vulcan withstand?
Did they employ Scott 3 decks down to play a bagpipes rendition of amazing grace.
Guy" I'm your son kirk" Scotty "Aye but that don't make you a special person in his heyday kirk had many relations"
Done for now

Schucked Theater Review.
Robert Massimi.
"Shucked" is probably the funniest musical on Broadway right now. Based on the book by Robert Horn, the play takes place in the Nebraska corn field where the corn on the farm of Maizy (Caroline Innerbichler) is dying. She sets out for Tampa, Florida of all places to find the answers to her questions. She lands upon a fake podiatrist who after finding out precious rocks are on the farmland says he can help her with her problem.  The story is told by two tremendous narrators; Grey Henson and Ashley D. Kelley. Replete with jokes and raucous fun, these two are the centerpiece of the hilarity. As Beau (Andrew Durand) is losing his girl to the conman Gordy, (John Behlmann), he plots forward to prove that Gordy is a fake. He has an allie in Lulu, her cousin. She too thinks that Gordy is a fraud and does her best of exposing him; trouble is, she starts to fall for him as well.  In Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally's music we get silly, fun songs. There are some really deep, meaningful ones, however. Songs that knock it out of the park are "Woman of the World", "Independently Owned", "I Do", "Corn Mix" and "Maybe Love". The direction by Jack O'Brien is stellar in this hidden gem of a musical. Sarah O'Gleby adds a simple, but sweet Choreography in this two hour twenty minute whirlwind of a show. Scott Pask's scenic design is right on the mark in that he gives us the feel for the corn fields in a barn like set. Japy Weideman in the lighting is a cross of glam and romantic, The lighting supports the director well here in that it is never overpowering nor weak. A right blend brings the action to the forefront. The costumes by Tilly Grimes run from the ridiculous to the traditional, and why not, the entire show vacillates this way! While all the performers are good, people like Kevin Cahoon, John Behlmann and Andrew Durand stand out, as do the the storyteller's. The entire cast works this absurd comedy well; they have fun with it too! For the most part, the diverse cast is terrific. At times it is difficult to imagine the grandfather being Maizy's relations. At times, the grandfather tries to bring a New York or New Orleans Jazz feel to the show which makes it feel scripted.  In "Shucked", the audience is treated to a wonderful time, enjoyable and warm, this is one that must be seen!

About Paige King Johnson: Born in a quiet North Carolina town just 22 miles south of Raleigh, as a young 9-year-old girl, Paige King Johnson spent her summers under the crepe myrtles imitating the styles of Loretta, Patsy, Waylon, and Merle. Having a grandpa as her biggest fan also meant receiving the gift of her first guitar – a baby Taylor – and enrolling in lessons. As she grew older, Johnson added “opening act” to her resume, supporting chart-topping artists like Scotty McCreery, Neal McCoy, and James Otto. Upon starting school at Belmont University for Music Business, Johnson honed in on the magic that had heavily influenced her as a child: the art of storytelling through songwriting. The famous Bluebird Café was just one of many writers’ circuits around Nashville that provided a safe space for Johnson to meet other writers. In the last four years, Johnson has traveled back and forth between Nashville and the Carolinas, playing shows like the North Carolina State Fair and running her dinner theater, Country on the Outskirts of Town, that she founded in high school. Johnson’s quarterly show provides an atmosphere for locals to enjoy Southern cooking, fellowship with friends, and the sounds of classic and current country music with some gospel thrown in. A four-time Carolina Country Music Awards Winner for Female Vocalist of the Year, Country Emerging New Artist, Single of the Year, and Tour of the Year, Johnson’s devoted homegrown fan base continues to expand farther than just her backyard.
