With so many products, it’s really hard to choose only 10 favorites, but with the help of my two product testers, we’ve come up with our list of the 10 best for this year, listed in no particular order.

Handmade Cat Baskets from Bruno and Boop Originals

Each of these adorable baskets is custom made for cats of all shapes and sizes, so no two will ever be alike. Made from an assortment of t-shirt and fabric yarns in each creation,  the result is a basket cats can dig their nails into and make biscuits. The best part? No shredding left behind! The baskets measure 19 inches long, 6 inches tall and 6 inches wide, when flattened by kitty, they measure 15 x 16 inches. The baskets are washable. The baskets are available on Etsy.

Algonquin Folding Cat Tree

I love the versatility of this cat tree. Generously sized at 60 inches high, this multi-level cat tree is made from wood and features carpeted platforms. It blends easily with any decorating style, and the fact that it’s easily movable makes this an awesome catification item. The cat tree is available from Wayfair.

Bissell Air Ram

This vacuum cleaner has changed my life. This cordless vacuum has made cleaing (almost) fun. Lightweight yet powerful, it does an absolutely amazing job on both carpet and hard floors. My carpet looks better than it ever did using my old heavy duty commerical grade Riccar, and, judging by the amount of dirt, dust and cat hair that I empty out of the dirt bin each week, it picks up way more dirt. Space Kitty Express Toys

Space Kitty Express founder Vanessa’s cat was not impressed by some of the store bought toys she brought home for her cat, so she decided to create some alternatives. She offers adorable toys filled with lemongrass, honeysuckle, silver vine, and valerian root. These cats are a great choice for cats who either don’t react to catnip (only 50% of cats do) or who get aggressive under the influence of catnip. NomNom Now Fresh Food for Cats

While I consider raw food the optimal diet for cats, I also understand that raw feeding may exceed the comfort level of many cat parents. I don’t think it’s necessary to take an “all or nothing” stand when it comes to feline nutrition, but I do believe that it is important to feed our cats a diet that is as minimally processed as possible. Jackson Galaxy Donut Cat Bed

Of all the products Allegra and Ruby got to review this year, this has turned out to be the paws down favorite – in fact, they love it so much that I had to get a second one. This is the softest cat bed I’ve ever seen, and I see a lot of them. The super soft surface and the overstuffed bolster are made from fluffy, flush cotton that is so soft to the touch, I just wanted to lie down and curl up in it myself. Did I mention this bed is really, really soft? The bed has a non-skid bottom so it won’t slide around on tile or hardwood floors. The entire bed is machine washable. Read our full review here.
